There were all kinds of bad comments out there, and they were all targeting Rosiley. Some of them were even personal attacks.
“Tsk tsk, it’s getting exciting. She indeed made a move.”
Looking at the news articles that were making her blood boil, even Rosiley, who had already made all the mental preparations, could not help feeling emotional.
No one liked to be scolded or ridiculed. Besides, the word choices were so extreme, and each comment could cause a lot of damage.
Rosiley took a deep breath and opened her eyes again. Her gaze was calm.
Sachin could not help frowning. “You seem to have predicted this?”
“Not really, it was just a guess. I didn’t know what she was going to do exactly. Tsk tsk, look at this video! It’s so obvious that she’s trying to make sure I’ll never turn around again. Rorey has really done all she could to regain her innocence.”
“Do you have any plans to counter this?” Sachin asked again.
A moment before, his gaze was set to kill. But at this moment, he had regained his composure.
“I’ve always been protecting myself against her, of course I have a way.”
Rosiley glanced at him and smiled. “Sorry for making you so worried early in the morning. But leave this to me, I can handle it.”
“Okay then.”
Sachin heaved a sigh of relief and caressed her long hair, asking, “When did you see her?”
“Yesterday. I went back to get some things.”
“If this happens again, make sure to tell me. I don’t want any possibility of you getting hurt,” Sachin said coldly with a solemn look.
…
When he woke up in the morning and saw the news, he was so mad that he almost felt like murdering someone. He immediately ordered Lane to do everything to suppress the news.
But now, that seemed unnecessary.
His wife looked very confident of winning. Her agile eyes, which illuminated her intelligence, were extra charming.
Sachin’s gaze uncontrollably grew more intense.
It was so rare that there was a woman who did not need him to help her by using his authority. Since that was the case, he would sit back and watch and let her take charge. He would just lend a helping hand in times of need.
Thinking of this, Sachin could not help smiling. After stealing a kiss on her cheek, he said gently, “Go wash your face first and then go down for breakfast. Don’t go to the office today; go after the whole thing settles down.”
“Okay.”
Rosiley smiled sweetly. She freshened up quickly and also changed her clothes.
Today she wore a loose, white, short-sleeve silk blouse and paired it with a dark A-line skirt. The outfit was very complimenting as it outlined her curves perfectly, capturing much attention. Her long legs were white and slender, creating a perfect ratio to her body. Topping it off with a pair of high heels, it gave off a simple yet elegant vibe. She was very attractive.
Sachin’s eyes deepened a little uncontrollably. He got up and placed his hand on her waist as they walked down the stairs together.
The couple’s breakfast was very simple; just bread and milk. After breakfast, Sachin was not in a hurry to leave the house. He sat on the sofa in the living room and continued to work on his laptop.
Rosiley could not help asking him curiously, “It’s already time, don’t you need to go to work?”
“At work, I always emphasize efficiency, never the time. Even if I don’t go to the office for a month, no one will dare to say anything.”
Sachin glanced at her, exuding strong confidence in his words.
Rosiley could not stop herself from commenting sentimentally, “That is the difference between a capitalist and a small character like us. How refreshing!”
Sachin groaned for a moment and chuckled. “You’re not going to work today. Would you like to see how capitalists usually work?”
“Hmm?”
Rosiley froze for a moment, her eyes sparkling. “Are you inviting me to tour REG’s office?”
“You’re not willing?”
“I’m willing, I’m willing, I’m willing!!!”
Rosiley was so excited that she exclaimed her readiness three times in a row.
He was talking about the REG! It was the leader in the entertainment industry. Countless celebrities and those working in the media industry all dreamed of working there.
In the past, Rosiley even fantasized about working there one day. However, that dream remained an extravagant hope.
She had never thought that one day, she would be able to enter and tour the place for free.
It was so rare that someone would bring her around for free. How could she pass up such a great opportunity?
“Then you can get ready now. I’ll go get the car.”
While he saw her face light up and her gaze glistening as if she had just picked up gold, the corners of Sachin’s lips curled upward. Without further ado, he closed his laptop and walked out.
It was rare to see her smile, so he had to work harder to keep it going.
Rosiley got ready quickly. She got into his car and they left for the REG right away.
After about 30 minutes, the couple finally arrived at the REG.
The REG was definitely counted as one of the more iconic landmarks in Benin City.
The whole building soared into the clouds, the floors were made of transparent glass, and there was a solemn “REG” hot-gilt signboard at the door. It seemed to symbolize its massiveness and unshakeable status.
This was Rosiley’s first time going to the REG. She had seen it from afar before, but never from so close-up. Just one glance immediately caused her to be mesmerized.
The car passed by the main gate and entered the basement. Rosiley then retrieved her gaze and said to Sachin with a look of longing, “Did you know that I also thought about working at Thunderbolt? But it’s a pity that the entry level is too high.”
…
Sachin’s thick eyebrows were slightly lifted. “As long as you want to come, Thunderbolt’s doors are always open to you.”
“Why? Are you going to be lenient on me?”
Rosiley gave him a playful glance and pursed her lips. She was a little pissed.
“Based on your capabilities, you won’t need me to be lenient.”
But he did plan to be lenient.
Rosiley scrunched her nose. “Hmph! Absolutely not! If this was before I met you, perhaps I’d still try, but now… forget it. I want to get what I want on my own. I don’t want to depend on connections.”
“My wife is so independent. As your husband, I really don’t know if I should be happy or worried.”
That might have been what he said, but a hint of delight flashed across his eyes.
This was exactly what he admired about her. She did not depend on anyone. She was independent. A little stubborn, but still charming.
After parking the car, Sachin led Rosiley to the private lift and went up directly.
His office was located on the 32nd floor. It was very spacious. There were four walls, one of which had floor-to-ceiling windows. It had an excellent view that overlooked the street below. The overall design was also very sophisticated, ranging from the color and style to the furnishings. It was all full of Sachin’s flavor—cold, but not outdated.
It had everything one would need, including a bar counter, wine cabinet, and a lounge.
“So this is where the king of the entertainment industry works every day!”
It took Rosiley a full two minutes to look around the entire office. Every time she finished one area, she gasped in her heart.
If Yayoi found out that she had been to the office of the CEO of the REG, what would her expression be like?
She would probably be more excited than knowing that she was married.
Back then, both of them set the REG as their goal. However, due to the fierce competition and because they had just started out in the industry with not much experience, they ended up choosing TEG instead.
