The more thoughtful Dave was, the more conflicted Bianca felt. She wondered if he would still be so caring if he knew about her experience that night. How would she face him then?
His charm, his effortless kindness, his gentle care-it all felt like quicksand on a vast beach, slowly drawing her in without her noticing.
Only now did Bianca realize how deeply she was entangled in these emotional feelings.
She clenched her fingers, reminding herself repeatedly that they were just friends. She knew she had to shake off these growing feelings before she fell for him completely.
“Mr. Evans, you’re quite skilled at taking care of others. Is this how you usually are with other women?” Bianca asked, trying to mirror Dave’s casual tone from earlier.
This was a new thing for Dave, looking after someone in this way.
Instead of getting upset, he just smiled and looked into Bianca’s eyes. “Would you be jealous if I said yes?”
Bianca was surprised by his answer.
‘Darn it! This guy was too clever and eloquent!’
“Don’t get too full of yourself. Jealous? Me? Not a chance! Not at all!” She pouted, looking really adorable.
“No, you’re the first,” Dave said, his smile warm and affectionate.
Seeing his handsome smile, Bianca felt her heart flutter.
“I’ve been thinking about something.” Dave adjusted the ice pack and kept it on Bianca’s ankle. Then he asked casually, “So, who has a better body, Blake or me?”
Bianca was momentarily speechless, then coughed.
She remembered seeing Dave without his shirt once. With his broad shoulders, slim waist, and toned abs, it was obvious his body was better than Blake’s.
But admitting that out loud was out of the question!
“How should I know?” Her ears turned red as she looked away.
Dave’s smile widened. He set aside the ice pack, stood up, and gently grabbed Bianca’s wrist.
“What are you up to?” Bianca looked at him, surprised.
With a playful smirk, Dave said, “I noticed you touched his chest earlier. Why not compare by touching mine?”
When he spoke, he led her hand to his chest. Through his thin shirt, Bianca could feel his solid muscles exuding a mature charm.
Just as she suspected, his muscles were indeed impressive to touch.
‘Wait a minute! Why was she feeling his chest?’
‘This was going too far!’
Realizing what she was doing, Bianca quickly tried to retract her hand, but Dave caught her wrist again and placed it on his waist.
“You don’t have to prove it anymore. You win. You have the better figure. Are you happy now?” Bianca’s face flushed as she declared the winner.
Dave let go of her wrist with a satisfied smile. His voice was smooth and slightly hoarse as he whispered, “I’ve got something even better. You’ll find out eventually.”
Bianca’s face turned as red as a ripe apple in an instant.
Just then, the doorbell rang again.
Dave got up to answer it. A group of men in medical coats entered, carrying a large box.
Seeing this, Bianca instinctively pulled back her foot, baffled.
‘What was going on? Why were there so many doctors in a bar?’
The lead doctor came over and greeted Dave politely. Then he set up a high-tech X-ray machine from the box.
“Miss, can you raise your right foot? We need to do an X-ray to see if there’s any bone damage.”
“Sure…” Bianca lifted her foot, still feeling a bit confused.
After the X-ray, the doctor quickly reviewed the results. “Everything looks fine. No broken bones.”
The doctor then took out a special ointment and gently applied it to Bianca’s ankle. “This ointment will help you heal faster. You did well by reducing the swelling early.”
After bandaging her ankle, the doctor nodded to Dave and left with the others.
Once they were gone, Bianca finally understood what had happened. She looked at Dave, puzzled. “Does the bar offer medical services too?”
“I guess so,” Dave replied casually. “This bar is known for its high standards, so it’s not too surprising.”
Bianca was genuinely amazed by the bar’s top-notch services.
She didn’t know that the people who came were experts from the Evans Group, a company known for its advanced medical equipment and powerful medicines.
“These medicines are usually hard to get. They’re not something you can find easily,” Dave explained.
“Maybe it’s best if we rest here tonight,” he suggested.
“But there’s only one bed,” Bianca pointed out, feeling a bit shy as she looked up at him.
Dave chuckled and lightly tapped Bianca’s forehead. “I’ll take the couch. But if you prefer to share the bed, just let me know.”
Bianca settled into the bed, wrapping herself in the quilt. “I move a lot when I sleep. The couch will be more comfortable for you.”
With a nod and a small laugh, Dave said, “Good night,” softly as he closed the door behind him and left the bedroom.
Bianca woke up feeling refreshed.
As she got out of bed and dressed, she noticed her ankle didn’t hurt at all. She wondered what kind of medicine the doctor from the bar had given her. It worked like magic!
When she stepped out of the bedroom, she saw that Dave had already left. There was a note on the table that read, “Off to work. Breakfast is ready for you. Don’t forget to eat, my little kitten.”
Kitten???
This guy really used a flirty nickname for her!
She wondered, if she’s a kitten, what makes Dave? A big bad wolf or a leopard?
Bianca looked at the table. There was a yummy breakfast all set up nicely.
Even though she felt a bit annoyed inside, she still felt warm and cozy.

After breakfast, Bianca quickly went to her office.
She sorted out the details about her artists and went to Vincent’s workplace.
At the reception desk, Bianca asked, “Hi, is Mr. Vincent Lopez here today?”
“What’s your name?”
“I’m Bianca Scott, an agent from Phoenix Entertainment.”
Not recognizing Bianca, the receptionist motioned toward a group in the corner without even glancing up. “Agents can go over there to hand in their documents.
Watching the busy crowd, Bianca saw how tough the competition for movie roles was. If she left her artists’ info there, it might get lost in the chaos.
“I want to know if Mr. Lopez is free. I need to set up a meeting with him.”
The receptionist rolled her eyes and gave Bianca a stern look. “You can’t just see him whenever you want. If you’re here to drop off stuff, do it over there. Otherwise, you can leave!”
Bianca got really annoyed with the receptionist’s attitude. Suddenly, the elevator behind her opened.
