But before Bianca could say anything, the manager interrupted her.
“Shh! Don’t make trouble for our guests, or you’ll be sorry!”
The manager turned to the men in the room with a smile and said, “Gentlemen, feel free to choose the ones you fancy. As for the others, I’ll show them out.”
Michael looked at the ladies with his captivating eyes, and eventually, his gaze landed on Bianca.
It was remarkable that among these heavily made-up women, Bianca exuded an innocent aura that captivated everyone’s attention, making it hard to look away.
Just as he was about to ask for Bianca, a thought struck Michael. He leaned in and whispered to Dave, “Why don’t you go ahead and pick first?”
Even though Michael wasn’t sure if Dave was interested, he gave him the chance out of politeness.
Dave, with his intense gaze forward, nodded subtly, pointing towards Bianca. “I’ll take her.”
Both Michael and Brandon were surprised, their eyes widening in astonishment. Dave hadn’t shown any interest in the women they had arranged for him before. Why the sudden change today?
Michael didn’t want to think too much about why Dave was interested in this woman.
He motioned to Bianca and said, “Come here.”
Bianca’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, and she stopped in her tracks.
The bar manager gently pushed Bianca forward when he saw her hesitating. “The guest is waiting for you. Quickly, pour him some wine!”
Bianca stood in front of everyone, her frown deepening. “I’m sorry, I think there’s been a mistake. I’m not one of the escorts.”
Michael observed Bianca with curiosity. Her innocent appearance didn’t match that of an escort, but he assumed she was a barmaid because of the tray she held.
Since Dave’s interest in a woman was rare, Michael didn’t want to spoil the moment.
He stepped forward, grabbed Bianca’s wrist, and led her to sit beside Dave, applying some pressure.
“You work here as a barmaid, right? Well, since you’re working here, it’d be a bit strange not to have a drink with this nice guy who seems to like you, right?”
Bianca quickly changed into a blouse and a short skirt before leaving her apartment. She looked slim and elegant. Sitting with her legs together and holding her skirt, she seemed innocent and young.
“After I make the toast, can I go?”
Michael looked at Dave and smirked at Bianca. “You know, he doesn’t flirt with women often. We were just joking about what type of woman would catch his attention. If you can get him to drink this glass of alcohol, everything else will be easy.”
Bianca’s lips pressed together, and she held onto her skirt tighter.
She quickly grabbed a glass from the table, poured whiskey into it, and stood up to give it to Dave.
“It’s not the best plan to give it to him like that…”
Michael was teasing Bianca, but before he could finish, Dave surprised everyone by grabbing Bianca’s wrist and pulling her into his arms, placing her on his lap.
“Wow!” Michael and Brandon couldn’t believe their eyes.
They were surprised to see Dave willingly let a woman sit so close to him, especially since he was the one who pulled her onto his lap. It was a surprising twist!
“Let me go,” Bianca said, her cheeks turning red as she tried to stand up. But Dave kept her firmly on his lap.
His thigh muscles pressed against her buttocks through the soft fabric. Bianca’s ears turned red, and she felt almost powerless.
“I’m asking you to let me go. Did you hear me?” Bianca demanded, her lips pressed tightly together and her eyes blazing.
Dave gently held Bianca’s waist and whispered in her ear with a reassuring tone, “I’m here on business for my boss. These guys are important, but they’ve been drinking and making fun of me. I was worried earlier, but now that you’re here, can you help me out?”
Bianca looked around the room. Everyone was laughing and watching her and Dave like it was a show.
She understood Dave’s situation. Even though she was upset with him earlier, she felt more sympathetic now.
Remembering how Dave had helped her before, Bianca felt it was her turn to help him.
She handed the glass to Dave carefully.
“Feed him! Feed him!”
Michael and the others were excited to witness this unusual sight. It was the first time they had seen a woman getting so close to Dave. Their cheers filled the room.
Bianca looked down at Dave, who gave a small smile, his eyes showing a hint of helplessness. He looked almost innocent.
She was determined to help him.
Bianca gently bit her lower lip and offered the glass to his lips.
Dave took hold of Bianca’s wrist and put his lips to the glass she held. He tilted his head back gracefully, drinking the alcohol she offered.
As he drank, his gaze on her was captivating, making her cheeks flush.
Impressed by Dave finishing his drink, Michael applauded.
“Can I leave now?” Bianca asked.
As Bianca tried to get up, Michael stopped her, pushing her back down.
With a mischievous look, Michael said, “Well, if you kiss him, you can leave.”
He looked at Dave and saw not anger but a slight smile, which made Michael even more excited.
“Hey! That’s not fair! That wasn’t part of the deal!” Bianca’s face turned red with anger.
Michael gave her a playful look and said, “You know where you are, right? Here in Champs Le Bar, you don’t leave until we say so. Don’t even think about going without our permission!”
Before Bianca could respond, Dave gently pulled at her arm.
Bianca’s anger faded as she realized the importance of the people around them. She didn’t shy away from confrontation, but she didn’t want to cause trouble either. Plus, with Brandon here, these people probably had connections in the entertainment world. Upsetting them could have consequences for both her and Dave.
With these thoughts in mind, Bianca looked at Dave’s handsome profile. ‘Kissing such a good-looking man wouldn’t be too bad,’ she thought. Taking a deep breath, she leaned in…
Her intention was to kiss him on the cheek.
But, whether it was intentional or not, Dave turned his head. As a result, she kissed him right on the lips.
Bianca’s eyes widened as she locked gazes with Dave. His Adam’s apple moved subtly, and he tightened his grip on her waist just a bit.
“Great!”
Michael was thrilled. He never expected to see a woman kiss Dave, a moment that would surely stir up talk among their group.
“Sorry, that was accidental,” Bianca said, clearly flustered. She tried to gather herself, quickly sliding off Dave’s lap and stepping away.
