Chapter 1265 Westminster

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-6-14

Leo was puzzled by the fact that his Divine Awareness did not detect anything just now. Could it be that the Holy Scarab can shield Divine Awareness?
He carefully took out the object from the Holy Scarab’s belly and placed it on the table.
The object was small, resembling a grain of rice. Leo attempted to use Divine Awareness to probe it again.
To his surprise, as soon as Divine Awareness made contact with it, it emitted a soft white light.
After the white light disappeared, white patterns appeared on the table.
The patterns quickly evolved from simple to complex, forming a blueprint.
At first glance, Leo could tell that this blueprint was a floor plan of a certain building.
At the same time, Leo noticed a line of English text in the bottom left corner of the blueprint.
Just then, the white patterns on the table started to darken. Leo was startled and quickly took out his phone, snapping several pictures of the pattern on the table.
Three seconds later, the white patterns disappeared, and the rice-like object was nowhere to be found.
It seemed like its purpose had been fulfilled, as the wings of the Holy Scarab automatically closed, returning to its original form.
At this point, Leo had a clue in his mind. He suspected that the two men in suits were probably from Ecclesia.
In the Western world, Ecclesia and Blood Clan were archenemies.
Leo quickly opened his phone’s photo album and used a translation app to translate the small English text in the bottom left corner of the pattern.
“Westminster, following the guidance of the Holy Scarab,” Leo softly read aloud. “Westminster Abbey!”
So, there must be something precious in Westminster Abbey!
Since becoming a Cultivator, Leo had developed a strong resistance to money but had almost zero resistance to treasures.
Now the question was, Westminster Abbey was in London, and he was currently in Paris.
After checking online for the distance between Paris and London and the fastest way to get there, Leo smiled.
Paris and London were over 400 kilometers apart. With the opening of the “Eurostar” high-speed train, it only took a little over two hours to travel from Paris to London. It was incredibly convenient.
Unable to contain his excitement, Leo sent a message to Fire Rose: “Any news from The Nine Cauldrons?”
A few minutes later, Fire Rose replied with just one word: “Wait.”
Wait my ass, Leo made up his mind. If there was still no news from Fire Rose tomorrow morning, he would go to London himself. He wanted to see what incredible treasures were hidden in Westminster Abbey.
Early the next morning, with still no news from Fire Rose, Leo freshened up, checked out of his hotel, had breakfast, and then took a taxi straight to the Paris train station.
After over two hours, the Eurostar arrived at its destination, and Leo walked out of the station.
Outside, as soon as he reached for a taxi, one pulled up beside him.
The driver rolled down the window and asked, “Handsome guy, need a ride?”
Seeing Leo nod, the driver opened the trunk of the car. Leo put his luggage in and got into the passenger seat.
“Where do you want to go for fun?” The driver’s tone carried a hint of flirtation since Leo was alone.
“I want to go to Westminster Abbey. Take me to a nice hotel near the cathedral,” Leo replied.
The driver put on sunglasses and said, “No problem, buckle up.”
With a press on the accelerator pedal, amidst a strong surge of acceleration, the driver took Leo towards Westminster Abbey.
The driver drove recklessly, but luckily there were no close calls along the way. In less than an hour, the driver stopped near a hotel called “ShortHills.”
“Destination reached, this hotel is quite nice and close to Westminster Abbey. It’s only a ten-minute walk,” said the driver as he took off his sunglasses, revealing yellow teeth while smiling at Leo.
“Okay! How much?”
“Twenty-five pounds.”
Leo instinctively reached for his wallet but stopped midway. He realized an awkward problem – he didn’t have any pounds, only euros.
“Well, I don’t have pounds on me. Can I use euros?”
“Do you have a credit card?” asked the driver. Seeing Leo nod, he pulled out a POS machine from somewhere and said with a smile, “You can swipe your card.”
After swiping his card and getting off the car, the driver kindly helped Leo unload his luggage and wished him a pleasant time in London.
With his suitcase in tow, Leo entered Sought Hotel. After completing check-in at the front desk, a staff member came to assist Leo with his luggage.
Luckily, WONDER had prepared a credit card for him; otherwise, it would have been troublesome to only have euros in England.
After taking a short rest in his hotel room and changing clothes, Leo left the hotel and found a local restaurant to taste some authentic British cuisine.
After lunch, Leo walked towards Westminster Abbey.
Naturally, he wouldn’t search for treasures in broad daylight. His plan was to first explore the interior structure of Westminster Abbey for convenience later at night.
Although he had a floor plan of Westminster Abbey, who knew if there had been any changes over all these years?
After walking for about twenty minutes, Leo finally caught sight of the majestic tower of the cathedral.
He couldn’t help but curse the taxi driver in his heart – wasn’t it supposed to be only ten minutes?
Standing in front of the main entrance of the cathedral, Leo looked up at this magnificent Gothic architecture and couldn’t help but let out a sigh of admiration.
Especially with its rich historical heritage emanating from its facade, it made Human Ninja eager to enter and appreciate everything inside.
Westminster Abbey is located on the north bank of London’s River Thames.
