Chapter 472: Can I Call You Brother Flynn in the Future?

Flynn left the Crimson Star Hotel and went to Energence Pharmaceuticals. He was going to attend the Dragon Creek Society with Rose.
While in the taxi, he received a call from Odin.
“Finished your honeymoon? Need me to prescribe some medicine to boost your health?” Flynn joked as he answered the call.
Odin laughed heartily. “Flynn, do I look like I need medicine? I’m as strong as an ox!”
“Do you have some time?”
They had been close friends since school, always speaking frankly with each other.
Flynn smiled, “What, want to treat me to a meal?”
“Well…” Odin hesitated but then said, “I also need a favor.”
“Harriet has a close friend who’s sick and needs your help.”
“She’s too shy to ask herself, so she came to me…”
Flynn paused and then laughed, “Since you asked, of course, I’ll help!”
Yesterday at Southridge Mountain, Harriet had seemed like she wanted to say something before leaving. This must be it.
Odin sounded apologetic. “Brother, you’re successful now and must be busy. I’m sorry for bothering you.”
“But you know Harriet is like a sister to me, even closer than my real siblings.”
“She asked for help, and I couldn’t refuse.”
Flynn chuckled, “Don’t be so formal! After that time in school when you took a hit for me, I owe you one!”
“Tell Harriet she can come to me directly… Actually, I’ll talk to her myself later.”
He cherished his friendship with Odin deeply. Especially after becoming King of the Underworld, he was surrounded by people who only wanted to flatter him. Despite being surrounded by apparent big shots, there were few he could truly confide in. They valued him only for his power. If he were an ordinary person, they wouldn’t give him a second glance.
But Odin was different. He was a true friend from the days of poverty.
“Brother, your words mean everything.”
“It’s not Harriet’s fault for being reserved…”
Odin began recounting Harriet’s past.
It turned out that Harriet’s mother was a dancer who had been deceived by Zion Watson and gave birth to her. When Zion’s wife found out, she broke Harriet’s mother’s legs and disfigured her with acid.
The mother and daughter then moved into Odin’s grandfather’s house where Harriet faced constant scorn from those around her. They called her a bastard and ugly.
Fortunately, Odin’s uncle loved Harriet dearly and raised her as his own daughter. She felt some warmth from this relationship.
Sadly, when Harriet was ten years old, her parents died in a car accident. The incident deeply affected her, making her even more withdrawn. She and her grandfather depended on each other from then on. Life was tough beyond words.
Flynn sighed after hearing this story; he hadn’t known about Harriet’s past. He frowned and asked, “Did Zion Watson never help them?”
Odin laughed bitterly. “He’s now the Pelens King and honorary president of the Dragon Creek Society-higher than even the wealthiest man in Pelens. How could he care about an illegitimate child?”
“If he wanted to help, Harriet’s mother wouldn’t have been crippled and disfigured.”
Flynn was slightly surprised. He hadn’t expected Harriet’s biological father to hold such a high position. Living in luxury while his daughter suffered-it reminded him of Paxton; both were garbage!
After hanging up the phone, Flynn arrived at Energence Pharmaceuticals. He went straight to the security department where Mu Xiang had been injured during King of Poison’s attempt to steal Blood Crow. Seeing Mu Xiang was fine now, Flynn gave some security instructions.
Then he called Harriet into his office.
“Odin just called me,” Flynn said with a smile after motioning for Harriet to sit down.
Harriet immediately lowered her head and nervously said, “Is it about my friend? Flynn, I know you’re busy but Stephanie is really pitiful…”
Flynn smiled warmly. “It’s okay; I’ve already agreed. Let’s schedule a time for your friend.”
“Really?” Harriet looked up suddenly, eyes brimming with tears of joy.
Flynn nodded with a faint smile. “Yes, but not today-maybe tomorrow or the day after.”
Harriet nodded excitedly.
Seeing her happy face, Flynn continued, “I’m classmates with Odin and you work under me now. If you need anything in the future, just ask me directly as long as it’s reasonable; no need to go through Odin.”
Harriet bit her lip self-consciously. “You associate with distinguished people; even someone like Mr. Wong follows your lead.”
“And I’m just an ordinary employee without power or influence-without your help, I’d lose even my home. How could I dare hope for any connection with you…”
Her voice grew quieter until it was almost inaudible-a reflection of her deep-seated inferiority complex.
Flynn had helped Molly three times already-each time arriving like a hero and helping her regain dignity effortlessly.
Molly found an unprecedented sense of security in Flynn and developed feelings for him but felt unworthy-a painful inner conflict that tormented her.
“Why would you think that?” Flynn asked incredulously.
“To me, there’s no difference between you and them!”
“You’re filial to elders, hardworking, kind-hearted-you’re very likable.”
“In these aspects alone they can’t compare!”
“Never belittle yourself again.”
“And I’m willing to help you-why feel guilty?”
Hearing this made Harriet burst into tears; she choked out thanks repeatedly before hesitatingly asking:
“Can I call you Flynn when we’re not at work?”
Flynn smiled warmly: “Of course! Odin is my brother; calling me brother is just right!”
“Work hard and believe in yourself-you’re not inferior or lesser than anyone else!”
Flynn patted Harriet on the shoulder before leaving the security department; she remained behind overjoyed.
“How many Break Alliance Pills do we have now?” Flynn asked as he casually sat down in the CEO’s office.
Rose looked quite pleased with herself: “We produced 500, 000 pills in two days.”
“I just brought over another thousand employees from Radiant Pharmaceuticals; machines are running 24/7-we should have another 300, 000 pills by tomorrow.”
Flynn nodded approvingly: “800, 000 pills make 80, 000 boxes-that should cover the first two days’ demand.”
“Keep production running all week; Acebegron Clear Relief is selling like crazy.”
“I estimate we’ll need at least 300, 000 boxes of Break Alliance Pill after the market explodes.”
Rose nodded again: “What price do you think is appropriate?”
Flynn grinned mischievously: “Since Swanson Pharmaceuticals is footing the bill-the more expensive the better! Let’s set it at $10k per box!”
Ten thousand dollars!
Three hundred thousand boxes would bring in three billion!
Braiden would go mad!
Rose sat up straight; her eyes narrowed as a cold smile spread across her beautiful face…
