The atmosphere in the carriage suddenly became a bit tricky.
At the front driving, Lane Mu almost came to a cramp as his shaking shoulders showed that he can’t hold the laughter any longer.
If not for Sachin Lu’s glare through the rearview mirror as a warning, he would have unleashed himself.
Rosiley Tang’s cheeks turned scarlet and even her pretty neck was dyed a layer of light pink.
Sachin’s gaze deepened in a sudden, “Ma’am, don’t worry. I don’t take advantage of people when they’re vulnerable. Before you’re completely ready, I won’t touch you.”
That was said to dissolve her awkwardness, as well as a promise.
Rosiley was relieved on hearing it.
She glanced at Sachin gratefully, thinking for the first time that marrying this man was a good choice.
He was a true gentleman; a man of his words!
This kind of trust came from the conduct of Sachin Lu.
He was different from Yunis Ji.
Yunis Ji was the type, who could not keep his words, who promised not to touch her before marriage, but implied many times to want premarital sex with her.
Sachin was the opposite. He was entitled to his rights but said he wouldn’t force her and was even willing to give her time.
Rosiley couldn’t help feeling fortunate in her heart; luckily, she chose to marry him.
“Thank you, Mr Lu!”
“You’re welcome, Ma’am.”
As they were talking, the car came to a halt. Sachin took a glimpse outside the windows, “Here we are.”
Rosiley took a glimpse too – it surprised her.
The car stopped by the front door of a restaurant called ‘the Sea of the Milky Way’.
This place was in the countryside. The restaurant was built by the mountains and surrounded by lots of vacation hotspots and hotels, covering an extensive area and with a far-reaching view. The interior finish of the restaurant was high-end and elegant. An observatory was also set up in the rear. When customers took their meal, they could not only overlook the night scenes of the city, but also see the vast universe.
So, ‘the Sea of the Milky Way’ is quite famous in Benin City. To come here on regular hours, a reservation was needed to be made one month in advance. It’s a place for the rich.
“Let’s go.”
Before she could notice, Sachin had already got off the car and detoured to her side, opening the door for her like a gentleman.
Rosiley lowered her head and walked out. She couldn’t help but said, “You should have told me earlier that I’m coming here, so I could put on a dress.”
Sachin checked her out and about and said calmly, “Ma’am, you’re a natural beauty. Whatever you wear looks good on you. This is fine.”
What he said was true.
Rosiley was a well-received beauty. She carried a strong bookish charisma, a mild and elegant mannerism, and was immaculate. With her well-proportioned body and fine taste in fashion, even in a work uniform, she would still look radiant and enchanting.
Rosiley paused for a moment, then burst into laughter, “It didn’t come across before, but Mr. Lu knows how to make a compliment.”
This was the first time she showed a grin after the series of mishaps.
Sachin was also a tad surprised that he dug up his potential to commend others after marriage.
Luckily, only two people were present. If this became known amongst his circle of playmates, their jaws would drop to the floor.
The couple went in the restaurant side by side. Sachin booked the area near the observatory and carefully set up decoration.
Soon after they were seated, the chef walked up the serving cart and delivered dishes. A few violinists in cocktail suit stood in one row, playing a moving melodious tune.
Romance was fueled by fresh flowers, candles, fine wine, music, and many more.
Influenced by this atmosphere, Rosiley realized that the mistreatment, suffering, and sorrow during the day had diminished unknowingly, feeling a sudden amazement.
“Was the food to your liking, Ma’am?”
During their meal, Sachin asked Rosiley the question suddenly.
Rosiley, with her mouth chewing beef, nodded, “the food has caught my fancy. The foie gras, borscht, European smoked beef steak, vanilla favor desert, they are all my favorites…” She paused and tumbled to take a glance at him, “Did you… order all these?”
Sachin looked her right in the eyes and said gently, “It’s easy if you wanna know that.”
Rosiley hardly swallowed her saliva; she couldn’t say a word.
It had never occurred to her that this condescending and unsociable man would be so caring towards her. Even her favorite taste was taken care of.
Yunis Ji could never do this; he could never remember what kind of food, clothing, or movies she likes.
But Sachin did it.
Rosiley was lost for words to tell her feelings.
One man, whom she gave all her heart to, was a man who cruelly stepped on her heart and stomped it to pieces.
The other man, a newly wed husband whom she just met in less than a day, did something that Yunis Ji would never do in a lifetime.
Suddenly, Rosiley saw Sachin in a new light.
This man might not be as cold as he seemed on the outside, but quite the contrary, he was caring. It was evident from him saying not touching her to ordering her favorite food.
Rosiley even doubted that it was for rescuing her when he appeared at the Times Entertainment Group.
As this occurred to her, a sense of warmth filled Rosiley’s heart, “Thank you, Mr. Lu!”
Sachin frowned subtly to her distant address and said, “Appreciation accepted. But how about you calling me a different name, Ma’am.”
“Um… what should I call you?”
Rosiley’s mind went blank for a moment.
Just now in the car, as Sachin was calling her Ma’am, she was still thinking what she should call him. Nothing suitable came to her mind, so she just decided to call him Mr. Lu rather than Boss Lu.
Consequently, in less than an hour, Sachin was about to raise a disagreement.
“My name. You can try to call my name,” he kindly advised.
Rosiley blinked and thought. She said, “Sachin?”
“Not intimate enough, but I’ll allow you to take it slowly.”
Sachin showed a rather satisfied expression.
