From him

105. Macy rode to the address and it took her roughly forty minutes and that meant that she was there before time. She had a few minutes to spare but what meant that she had time to survey the property and maybe get a hang of it.
The address she had been given was an abandoned factory. It looked like it was once a paper factory since there was a lot of empty pulp drums lying around empty and all dried up.
She went inside the old and dirty premises and it was all quiet.
The only sound she could hear was the sound of her boots connecting with the floor softly.
She knew the silent foot and she thus walked silently and she could only hear the sound of the boots because she had a trained ear.
The silent foot was where one would walk silently no matter the size of their feet or the type of shoes one was wearing. It called for one lightening their legs and making the torso carry most of the weight.
This is achieved by bending outwards at an angle of seventy five degrees and then projecting the feet outwards at an angle to forty five degrees and then walking with the hands outwards to support the torso.
One had to move very quickly to make the light footsteps as silent as one could get.
She had used this a lot especially when spying on enemies when she used to live in china after learning it and when she needed to earn some extra cash. She would be sent by her then superior who introduced her to lion on missions and she would follow people and then report back.
This way, she was able to move around and mark exits and places where she could hide if things went south.
As she was going back, she received a text: where are you?
She didn’t reply as she pocketed the device and ran back using the same technique.
“Hey?” She said from behind a man who was near the main gates to the factory.
She and hidden her motorbike and she knew that she was dealing with amateurs because no one had heard as she came in.
Two things came to mind: whoever hired then was a cheapskate or, they were just a street gang who thought they could get money from her.
The man swang in surprise and almost fell and Macy got out of the way to give him room to fall if he so wanted but he twisted his body and used his hands to hold the ground and then righted himself.
“God! Don’t ever sneak up on me like that again!” The man said and produced a gun from his waist and pointed at Macy.
“Did you come alone? And where did you come from?” He asked and she raised the side of her mouth in a not so smile wondering where this idiot was from.
“I was here for around five minutes and I hid there waiting,” she said as she pointed at an abandoned drum that was open.
“Did you come alone?” The man asked in exasperation and Macy almost laughed out loud.
“Isn’t that for you to find out? What if I lie?” She asked with her brows raised in question.
“I am the one holding a gun here woman,” the man tried threatening but the voice came out as if it was a child trying to speak like an adult.
“So? Did you call me here to kill me?” She asked not at all fazed and the man seemed surprised.
“Everything okay mate?” Another voice asked and the man turned around but Macy didn’t.
She was looking at the pistol he was holding. It was a Beretta APX and she could see that the safety was on but she wasn’t sure if it had any bullets in it.
But she knew that if she needed to, she would have it within a second since the man was holding it like the amateur he was.
“Yeah, all is well. She’s here and she’s alone,” the man said and then looked at Macy, “let’s go,” he said indicating with the gun and she turned, took two steps and then stopped.
“Why are you stopping?” The man asked.
“Because I don’t know where we are going,” she said simply.
“Follow me,” the second man said.
Macy followed silently and this time, she made as much noise as she could with her boots. She wanted to throw them off just in case she needed to run later.
They walked past abandoned rooms that looked like former offices until they came to a set of stairs and they took two flights and came to the upper floor.
They went along a corridor that also had abandoned offices and kitchens until they came to the last one on that corridor and the man knocked once and then opened the door.
He stepped aside and motioned for her to get in and she did.
She was abused by a bright light and she had to close her eyes for a moment and then open them slowly to adjust to the light.
That’s when she realised that two portable big lights had been placed on a table that was in th middle of the room.
Looking around, there were four other men in the room and a lady all dressed in black as of they took, were bikers.
She didn’t betray any emotion and she got in then looked at the man who brought her in.
“So, you guys talked about my child. Can we get this over with? My other one is waiting at home,” Macy said and she heard a laugh.
It started out small and then it became full blown.
She knew that voice. She just didn’t expect the owner to be here. But then again, she had expected Angela to take revenge. She just didn’t think that it would this soon.
“Ah, you say a child is waiting for you? What child Macy? Are you dreaming?” Angela asked as she came out of an adjacent room to where they were.
“Maybe, or maybe not. What am I doing here Angela?” Macy asked not at all fazed.
“Are you afraid?” Angela asked.
“Maybe. Then… maybe not. Why am I here?” She said and repeated the question.
“You outed me. I am yet to understand how you did it. This is payback.
If I go down, I will make sure you are dead by then. This is it,” Angela said with all the venom she could master.
“Okay. Is that all?” Macy asked as if she was bored and that didn’t sit well with Angela.
“What do you mean is that all? I have your life in my hands now and like the idiot you are, you came alone. Who does that?”
“Me. I do that because I know amateurs when I hear one.
You are all a gang of amateurs not worthy my time.
So, if you don’t have my baby here, can I leave or you want to kill me first?” Macy asked as if she was asking if they had eaten.
Angela has never been more pissed.
“Has it not sank that I am going to kill you? But before I do, I want you to answer a few questions for me,” Angela said and Macy raided a brow.
“First, how did you make me say all the things I did? I am sure you gave me something but I can’t figure out what.
Not even doctors can find a trace of it in my system. So, what was it?” She asked and Macy gave that one not smile and smirked fully.
“I have you to thank. You see, I couldn’t be more grateful that you had my parents send me to Nairobi. It opened ways for me and it was from that that I was able to learn all I know.
I finished school and then went to China where I learnt lots of things and made lots of friends.
What I used on you was given to me by such one friend. So, sis, thank you for making them send me away,” Macy said and that earned a sneer from Angela.
“What was the second question? My husband might realise that I am not at home and you wouldn’t want to see him when he’s angry,” Macy said and that made Angela’s head snap up looking at her.
“What husband?” Angels asked more in curiosity forgetting that she was supposed to be angry.
“The most handsome man you have ever seen. He’s the most caring creature in pmanet earth. He loves hard and…”
“Ooo shut up! I asked you who he was!”
“And that’s what I am answering. Oh, sorry, you wanted the name? He doesn’t like to be mentioned. And I doubt that you would know him,” Macy said with a fond smile.
“So, since I guess that you don’t have the boy with you, I beg to leave. It was nice meeting you again,” Macy said and turned but she was met by the barell of the pistol to her face by the same man.
“I will give you one chance to shoot me. One… two…” Macy started to count down and the man looked confused.
“… three,” she finished and before any of them could see what had happened, the gun was in her hands.
“This is how you hold a pistol,” Macy said as she held it and pointed it at the same man who was still looking at his hand and then at her.
He still couldn’t understand how she had taken it from him.
