Flynn? The son-in-law of the Kaur family? Isn’t he the King of the Underworld?
Nathan and Mr. Price were stunned upon hearing this and almost simultaneously looked behind them.
Mrs. Sheppard followed their gaze and exclaimed in surprise, “Oh my! What a coincidence! I didn’t expect the little miracle doctor to be right here!”
Bobby was taken aback and quickly helped Mrs. Sheppard over.
Flynn was eating nonchalantly, but when he saw Mrs. Sheppard, he paused for a moment.
“Dr. Flynn, this is my son Bobby. He insisted on coming to thank you after hearing that you cured my illness,” Mrs. Sheppard introduced, pointing to the man beside her.
“Bobby?” Flynn seemed to recall the name from somewhere.
Bobby quickly introduced himself politely, “Hello, Mr. Clark. We are from the Sheppard family in Pelens.”
“We own thirteen companies across six industries including real estate, textiles, and technology.”
“Our net worth isn’t much, just close to two hundred billion dollars. You might have heard of the Dragon Creek Society; I founded it.”
Bobby spoke lightly, but every word revealed wealth and unparalleled status. At his level, there was no need for boasting anymore.
Bobby’s only purpose in saying this was to showcase his powerful abilities and to befriend the little miracle doctor.
For billionaires at this level, continuing to pursue wealth is necessary; after all, no one thinks they have too much money. But wealth is no longer their primary pursuit. Living longer and extending the enjoyment that wealth brings is their main goal. After all, a healthy body is also a guarantee for continuing to pursue wealth. Who can guarantee they won’t get sick in their lifetime?
Upon hearing about his mother’s situation, he rushed over immediately. For Flynn’s sake, he even scheduled this year’s recruitment meeting in Niarak. Killing two birds with one stone-holding a meeting and finding someone.
Flynn suddenly realized something. Rose had indeed mentioned Bobby’s name when introducing the Dragon Creek Society.
He responded with an “Oh” and continued eating.
Bobby’s smile suddenly froze. After all, he was the richest man in Pelens and the president of the Dragon Creek Society; his status and position were well-known even in Shipmeda State.
Yet Flynn only responded with an “Oh”?
Even Mr. Richardson from Niarak would greet him with a smile!
Mrs. Sheppard wasn’t too surprised. She had already experienced Flynn’s temperament last time. He didn’t even want to be hired as a consultant for the Sheppard family, which made Mrs. Sheppard admire him greatly. Despite his young age, he had a transcendent mindset that indicated he was no ordinary person.
Mrs. Sheppard lightly coughed and said to Roman with a smile, “Mr. Price’s medical skills are extraordinary, and his disciples are equally remarkable. It makes us common folks feel ashamed.”
Upon hearing this, Mr. Price and his disciples were greatly shocked.
Roman quickly corrected her, “You misunderstand; Mr. Clark is my master, not my disciple…”
“Yes! Mr. Clark is our grandmaster, not our senior brother; you flatter us too much!” Nathan said nervously.
What? Mr. Price’s master? Nathan’s grandmaster?
Boom-
The mother and son of the Sheppard family were thunderstruck and found it hard to believe.
Mrs. Sheppard was dumbfounded and momentarily at a loss for words.
Flynn being with Mr. Price implied some connection between them. Given Flynn’s extraordinary medical skills and young age, it seemed likely he could be Mr. Price’s disciple.
After all, how could someone under thirty be the master of an eighty-year-old Mr. Price?
But it turned out Flynn really was Mr. Price’s master!
It was shocking! Simply mind-blowing!
Bobby was equally stunned and enlightened.
No wonder Flynn behaved as he did earlier; he had the confidence and capability to look down on the Sheppard family!
A look of shame appeared on his face.
Before coming here, he was confident that he could persuade Flynn to become a consultant for the Sheppard family.
Now it seemed laughable.
Mr. Price was already beyond reach; they needed Nathan’s introduction just to connect with him.
Mr. Price’s master? They wouldn’t even dare think about it!
How could they have faced him so boldly earlier?
The mother and son of the Sheppard family felt like they were sitting on pins and needles.
They had intended to sincerely make connections but ended up making fools of themselves.
Awkward! Fearful!
The suite fell into silence.
Mrs. Sheppard couldn’t help but speak up: “Mr. Clark, we truly apologize; we didn’t mean to…”
Flynn waved his hand dismissively without looking up: “It’s fine; I’m not angry.”
“Your eyes are yellowish, your abdomen is bloated, your stomach growls frequently, and there’s a foul smell on you.”
“Your liver and gallbladder have issues.”
“Did you come here not just to ask me to be a consultant but also to treat your illness?”
He spoke indifferently while eating without looking at anyone from the Sheppard family.
“Amazing!” Blaise Sheppard exclaimed in shock:
“Mr. Clark diagnosed Old Mrs. Wilcox just by looking at her without checking her pulse or asking questions!”
“It’s like he’s descended from heaven!”
“I wouldn’t dare mention hiring you as a consultant again; please consider it a joke.”
After saying this, he turned to Mr. Price with a pleading look:
“Um… as for Old Mrs. Wilcox’s illness, could we trouble you instead?”
He was completely convinced now and even more respectful in his demeanor.
If Mr. Price could snatch people from death’s door, then Flynn’s medical skills must be beyond extraordinary.
Bobby wouldn’t dare ask him for help now!
Roman laughed heartily and nodded:
“Your mother’s illness is due to damp-heat stagnation; it’s not difficult for me.”
“Since you’ve come here seeking help, I’ll take a look.”
Mrs. Sheppard was overjoyed at Mr. Price’s willingness and quickly extended her wrist.
Mr. Price checked her pulse briefly before starting acupuncture treatment.
In no time, Mrs. Sheppard’s abdominal bloating subsided along with the growling sounds; she felt completely comfortable.
She trusted Mr. Price’s skills; once treated by him, her decade-long abdominal issues were surely resolved.
After putting away his needles, Mrs. Sheppard sighed with gratitude: “Today is truly a lucky day for the Sheppard family-to encounter two divine doctors in Niarak.”
“The Sheppard family owes great debts to both Mr. Clark and Mr. Price; we don’t know how to repay you.”
“How about this: Pelens isn’t far from here; why don’t both divine doctors come visit Pelens for a few days?”
Bobby eagerly agreed: “Yes! Both divine doctors cured my mother’s illness; please let us show our gratitude.”
“If you come to Pelens, I’ll clear my schedule just to accompany you!”
“No need,” Flynn said indifferently while wiping his mouth with a napkin.
Roman also politely declined:
“It was merely a small effort; there’s no need for thanks-I have plans to visit an old friend tomorrow.”
Bobby’s smile stiffened awkwardly as he looked at Nathan for help.
Nathan immediately smiled at Flynn: “Mr. Clark, the Sheppard family is sincere in their gratitude-if you have time, perhaps you could visit Pelens for some sightseeing?”
He understood what the Sheppard family meant-they indeed wanted to express thanks but mostly sought an opportunity to build connections.
Given their business cooperation with each other’s families’ businesses’, Nathan decided to put in a good word for them.
Flynn impatiently replied:
“I don’t have time; if the Sheppard family wants to show gratitude then let Rose join Dragon Creek Society.”
To him whether Rose joined or not made no difference but since there was an opportunity why not help her out?
“Rose? Kevin’s daughter?” Bobby exclaimed realizing something suddenly made sense now-it explained how Rose had rapidly risen after bankruptcy within just over a month!
He believed everything Rose achieved now must be thanks largely due directly or indirectly through Flynn’s influence!
“Alright! I promise Ms. Sharp will definitely join Dragon Creek Society!” Bobby excitedly declared feeling relieved knowing Flynn didn’t outright reject their gratitude instead gave them something doable!
Now Bobby had new goals-to befriend Rose thereby getting closer ties with Flynn!
