A few minutes earlier, at the Medina mansion.
The Narrator:
At Reyner’s residence, he and his son Jose David were arguing over the latter’s neglect of his daughter Yoly del Mar. In addition, for not taking care of making those who hurt her pay, to his sister.
-I told her to wait, that when I left the delegation I would take care of separating those two. However, as always, she did whatever she wanted! -He said angrily.
-Yes, I understand you, Jose David, but I don’t agree with you not lifting a finger to make those who caused this to happen to my only daughter pay,” he shouted angrily.
-Well, Dad! Are we going to go to the Shipping Company or not? We have the protection of the Court, to enter the meeting and to be able to build the evidence that the lawyer asked us for -recalled Jose David- For now, this is more important, because we are not even sure that Yoly will wake up.
-Let’s go! -Responded Reyner, analyzing that his son was right- I also advised the lawyers and the judge I hired, for the diligence we require -assured this one.

So the two of them went out, ready to confront Benjamin to get him out of the CEO position he held. They were totally unaware of Sofia’s recovery. They, upon arriving at the Shipping Company, went directly up to the Board room, before the Board arrived.
Sofia:
Once Reyner’s secretary left, we headed towards the boardroom. Benjamin came in first, followed by my mother, then Rafael and finally me, with the two bodyguards my husband assigned me.
Everyone was dumbfounded, apparently absolutely no one expected my return, not even my own Directors, among them, Shayla. They were astonished, stunned, especially Reyner, Jose David and Ezequiel.
-Good morning! -I greeted, looking at everyone present at the meeting, “Reyner and Jose David, what are you doing here? I understand that neither of you can enter “my company” -I affirmed, looking at them with disdain.
-I have an injunction from the Court, authorizing me and Jose David to be here. Besides, we are shareholders, therefore, we are as owners as you are, not like others. What do I not understand what you are doing here, in a meeting of owners? -Reyner objected.
-If you’re talking about Rafael, I’d like to make his presence clear! He is here in his capacity as owner,” I made an intentional pause, in which the murmurings immediately arose, and then continued.
“We have married, without separation of property, therefore, he owns fifty percent of my shares, any questions? -I asked.
Jose David, being watched by Shayla and his father, threw what was on the work table, angrily to the floor, more out of zeal than anger at learning of their marriage.
-Maldi…! Whore! -He cursed, manifesting his anger and rage towards Sofia, regardless of the people present, “You bought a husband to cover up your promiscuous behavior?
He had not finished pronouncing his words well, when he received a strong right blow from Rafael’s hand, who was immediately protected by his bodyguards, while Sofia’s bodyguards did the same with her.
From the blow that Jose David received, he went against the edge of a piece of furniture that serves as a library, breaking his head when he was hit hard. Shayla, faced with this situation, ran to help him, without caring that the others saw her behavior.
Sofia watched carefully as her friend helped him to get up together with Reyner, who made strong threats against her and Rafael, for what had just happened.
-Mr. Judge! -I need you to draw up a report that will serve as evidence to prove the responsibility of this guy for the injuries caused to my son.
“I will sue you and I will take from you, even what you don’t have,” he threatened, causing a smile on Rafael’s face.
Rafael:
-That’s all yours! Take over what others have worked for. And so go your children. As far as I can see, they are all delinquents…” I said.
“I don’t threaten, I act! You mess with my wife again, or disrespect her, in any way, or your children, and I’ll throw you all in jail -I assured, with a murderous look.
-Ha! He still thinks Paradise Island is Rose City. I have the power here, I swear you’ll pay for this damage you did to my son! -Reyner threatened and left with Jose David and Shayla, without understanding her behavior, since he did not know the relationship between them.
-I accept your challenge, wherever you want! Because it is not a question of power, but of justice. Although I think this is a problem of genes, your daughter as soon as she regains consciousness, if she recovers it, I will make her pay with jail, the damage she did to Sofia -I challenged again, in front of all those present.
Once they left the meeting room, the door was closed, everyone was whispering about what had happened, so to prevent the gossip from continuing, Benjamin installed the meeting, being chaired by him, in his current position as CEO of the shipping company.
In view of the fact that his leadership was temporary, while Sofia appeared, he proposed that she continue as CEO, until the end of her current term. At this, she accepted and introduced her lawful husband to all present, leaving a copy of her marriage certificate on record.
-To begin this meeting, I ask the judge and his assistant to leave! -she demanded, in a categorical tone.
“I don’t know what you were pursuing with your presence here, but in view of the fact that your plans were frustrated, I thank you to leave,” she ordered, gesturing for her bodyguards to accompany them to the exit, being admired and supported by her husband, who sat beside her.
They immediately withdrew without objection. Upon taking office again, Sofia proceeded to make the changes she had planned with her mother and husband. Because of this, she announced the division and geographic separation of the Directorate in charge of supervising the merchandise entering the ships.
In this sense, Benjamin would occupy the Directorate in the Islands and Sheyli in Ciudad La Rosa. Thus, he removed Shayla from her position and moved her to another position of lesser responsibility, outside the Island.
Shayla had behaved in this situation, unconditionally and in solidarity with Jose David. As Benjamin’s suspicions were confirmed, Sofia preferred not to risk it.
This was a blow to Jose David’s plans, because he never imagined that Sofia would dismiss Shayla, for being one of his greatest friends. Faced with this situation, and to verify by the voice of his own father, this dismissal, he threw her out of his side, right there in the clinic, because she was no longer useful for his goals.
In the shipyard, continuing with the meeting, Ezequiel and Noah supported, unconditionally, the decisions taken by Sofia, besides expressing their joy at seeing her safe and sound again. While the meeting was taking place, Rafael requested Leonel’s support for any action taken by Reyner.
Thus, Leonel began his timely investigations on Reyner and Jose David Medina. He also informed his boss that he had bought the vineyard and importer with his power of attorney, so for now, nobody will know who the new owner is…
