Chapter 51

Book:Wanting Her Back Published:2024-6-8

(Alessandre”s P. O. V.)
When Cassy said it, he appeared to be stuck in her seat. His fist was clinched tightly.
He is having a difficult time calming down. His patience with the woman is really limited, and he will eventually lose it.
Alessandre, take a deep breath and relax.
He re-assured himself over and over. He was only thinking of the times he and the woman had spent together. The only thing that kept him from hurting Cassy was that. She is putting his patience to the test.
“Are you threatening me?” he demanded angrily of the woman. He fixed his gaze on her.
When she saw his piercing eyes, the woman flushed, but she quickly recovered.
The woman approached him. She even has a smile on her lips as she softly strokes her enormous protruding belly. He was more irritated by the woman”s actions.
“Oh, no, my darling Ales, I am not threatening you; I am simply telling facts, and I am quite curious as to how your loving wife would react if she found out about my predicament,” she replied softly.
Anyone who sees her right now will believe she is an angel who is only inquisitive about it and has no malicious intent, but he knew differently. She manipulated him once before, and she is doing it again today.
With a shake of his head, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the Cassy is completely insane. She is a far cry from the woman he once admired.
Perhaps his mother was correct when she stated the woman was pursuing him solely for financial gain.
“Alessandre, one more step and you will have to say goodbye to your wife,” Cassy remarked flatly. He refused to be controlled by her and continued walking.
“You are extremely obstinate, Alessandre. Well, go ahead and do it if that is what you want; just keep an eye on your wife”s cell phone because she may get a sex film of the two of us at any time,” he said as he slammed the door of her condo shut. While inside the elevator, he tried to catch his breath.
He swiftly walked to his car as he reached the bottom floor. At the rate he was driving, he was about to fly his car. He did not want to acknowledge it, but he was terrified of Cassy”s potential. What she did to scare him was not unclear, and it was even more unbelievable. He does not trust that crazy woman.
He is worried that if Anna finds out about Cassy, she will divorce him. He does not want his wife to be angry with him, and he especially does not want her to cry because of him.
From the time he was a child till now, he has injured his wife numerous times, and she has sobbed numerous times because of him.
Annalise has already been through a lot of pain, so he tries to avoid hurting her as much as possible. To him, she is priceless. She is the ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak existence.
When he arrived home, he took a deep breath. To calm himself, he stayed in his car for a few minutes. He does not want Anna to notice how jumbled her thoughts are at the moment.
His wife will undoubtedly be concerned, and he does not want this to happen. He was aware that she was preoccupied with her schoolwork, and he didn”t want to add to her anxiety.
He entered the house after he had finally calmed down. The lights in the house have been turned off.
It is about twelve o”clock in the morning. He didn”t expect to be in Cassy”s condo for long.
By this point, Anna must have fallen asleep. He walked to the kitchen for a drink of water before heading to the second floor.
When he opened the door to his chamber and his wife, he moved carefully and softly. He was correct in his assumption that Anna was dozing off. She was soundly sleeping while hugging one of the pillows.
When he looked at his wife, he became calm all of a sudden. She appears to be both naive and vulnerable.
He stripped down to his boxer shorts after removing his outerwear. He lay down by his wife.
When Anna feels him move, she simply stirs. He let go of the pillow she had hugged earlier and hugged him tightly instead. She smiled. She feels so insignificant in his embrace.
Before falling asleep, he stroked Anna”s hair and kissed her on the forehead numerous times.

(Annalise”s P. O. V.)
“Good morning!” I said as soon as Atlas opened his eyes. I grinned warmly as I gazed at his attractive features.
I could not help myself and gave him a brief kiss on the lips. Because of what I accomplished, a smile gradually appeared on his lips.
“I am sorry, I cannot wait for you to come home last night because I fell asleep,” I whispered to him as I caressed his bare chest.
I noticed that he was taken aback by what I said, but I ignored it.
He said genuinely, “I suppose I arrived home at twelve o”clock yesterday night.” He took a step back and averted his attention from me.
I gave a nod. I laid my head on his naked chest and listened to his heartbeat closely. I sighed and yawned.
“I am still sleepy,” I grumble as my face wrinkles.
With a mocking melody, he remarked, “My baby is still sleepy? But did not you go to bed early last night?” For what he”d said, I lightly smacked his chest.
“I just want to sleep and not go to University,” I pouted.
“Can I just be absent today?” I asked.
He was amused by what I said. He stood up from lying down, and I was right there with him because I had almost run him over.
To save me from collapsing, he slipped his fingers around my waist. He took a seat on the bed, and I sat on her lap. I rested my chin on his shoulder.
He reminded me, “You still have a lot of coursework to do, don”t you?”
When I realize what he said, I want to cry.
He dragged me into the restroom with him. I could not think of anything else to do but take a bath.
I noticed his bewilderment when I emerged. He was extremely pallid and had numb hands. He had my phone in his hand.
“Hey, what is the matter?” I inquire, concerned. I snatched him up and stroked his cheeks. As he peered at me, his blue eyes were clouded with anxiousness and terror.
Instead of responding to my query, he went into the restroom. What he did stunned and left me speechless. He still has not released go of my phone, which he keeps with him even in the bathroom. I simply stopped talking and allowed him to do what he wanted.
Atlas was the one who drove me to the university. As soon as I got down, I noticed Lyka standing in front of the gate, waiting for someone.
As soon as I got down, I noticed Lyka standing in front of the gate, waiting for someone. I promptly approached her and gave her a big smile.
“Hey, Lyka!” I exclaim, delighted to see her.
I was taken aback because her expression stayed solemn. I turned around to see what she was staring at, and she was staring towards Atlas” distant automobile.
“Why aren”t you picking up my call?” she asked, her voice chilly. The way she spoke astounded me. I had never seen her seem so serious before.
“Ah, Atlas took my phone, and he still has it because he claims he inadvertently smashed his,” I respond, perplexed.
When she heard Atlas” name, her expression darkened even more. Lyka was the one who dragged me into the university.
As she dragged me away, her steps were quick. The other students stared at us, but she seemed unconcerned.
She led me to the University”s back entrance. Nobody is there because, aside from the fact that it is still quite early, no one comes here.
“Why, Lyka, is there a problem?” I inquire, perplexed. My brows drew together.
Something is the first time I have seen her take this seriously. As he stared at me, her lips clenched.
“Are you furious because I have not answer your call? Atlas said you called earlier, but I was not able to answer. I am sorry-” I had not finished what I was about to say when she abruptly interrupted me.
She questioned me coldly, “Do you know where your spouse was last night?”
Because of her query, my brows drew together. I hesitantly nodded at her, puzzled by her seemingly random question.
“Yup, why?” I inquired.
“Do you know where he went? Do you know if he went to Cassy”s condo?” Lyka demanded fiercely.
Because of what she said, I could not speak up right away. My tongue protruded from my mouth, and my entire body tightened. Because of what she said, I appeared to be deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deaf.
“What are you talking about, Lyka? Is this some kind of prank? Lyka, what you”re saying isn”t funny,” I said seriously.
Lyka gave me a mocking smile. She handed me her phone, which she had taken from her pocket.
I took it with a trembling hand. When I saw the photo on Lyka”s mobile, I burst into tears.
When I saw Atlas with a beautiful woman, my chest clenched. I am looking at Lyka with a puzzled expression on my face. I was dissatisfied, and the image I saw was even more unbelievable.
“No, this is not true. It is not Atlas. There is no way that is my husband. Lyka, see, that is not my Alessandre,” I sobbed, tears streaming down my face.
I could not stop shaking my head. That is not Alessandre at all. He won”t be able to do this to me again. We got along swimmingly. I know and feel that he already accepts me as his wife, even if he didn”t tell me.
I have faith in him; he will not harm me any longer.
“No, he is not like that. Lyka, why are you torturing me like this? Are you still mad at him for what he did before? He has changed, Lyka,” I sobbed.
I have no idea why I am crying. Although I am adamant that Alessandre is not in the photograph, gazing at it causes my chest to hurt.
“He has been extremely good to me. He does not hurt me any longer. We just ate breakfast together this morning! We were even cheerfully talking just a few minutes ago,” I exclaim. Lyka got the phone back from me.
“Anna, are you blind or do you just refuse to acknowledge what you have seen? You can plainly see Alessandre kissing Cassy in the image!” Lyka exclaimed.
I grumbled even more. I am sitting on the grass because my knees are failing.
I can hear my heart breaking into a million pieces.
My tears continued to fall as I sat. I wanted to scream but could not because I could not get a sound out of my mouth.
“Why? Lyka, why is it like this again? Why do I have to be hurt like this? Don”t I have the right to be happy?” I pleaded weakly, tears streaming down my face.
“I lost my parents when I was a child, he gave me a chilly treatment, I was bullied, I used to be depressed, I tried to commit myself; I have gone through everything, so why do I have to go through it all over again?”
Lyka wrapped her arms around me and hugged me. Because she hugged me, my heart ached even more.
