Chapter 50

Book:Wanting Her Back Published:2024-6-8

I noticed him looking at his cell phone, which was on the table, and not answering it when he saw who was calling. I was perplexed as to why he did not pick up the phone.
I was perplexed as to why he did not pick up the phone. Because his cell phone was on the other side of the room and he swiftly switched it off, I did not see who contacted him.
I stare at him, my eyes pleading, but he simply shrugs. When his phone rang again, I was about to finish my meal. I take a long breath and set down the fork and fork I was holding.
“All right, answer that. Maybe it is vital that that person calls,” I informed him with a smile.
His eyes are filled with trepidation as he looks at me, but I simply nodded, urging him to pick up the phone.
On his cell phone, he answered the call. He finished his dinner fast and then took out his phone to call the guy who had called him earlier. He kissed me on the forehead swiftly before leaving.
I cannot stop grinning. I did not realize he was also concealing some sweetness. Who would have guessed that Alessandre Atlas Villareal, a harsh and icy man, would have such a clinging and tender side?
My dinner was continued.
By the way, who was it who called him? I am inquisitive, but I am also respectful of his privacy.
With a shrug of my shoulders, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation.
I intended to wait for Atlas to return to the kitchen, but he never did. My brow furrowed in concentration.
The amount of time he spent on the phone with the caller. I have finished my meal, but he has not returned.
I made the decision to put our supper away. Because we help each other put our food away, I am used to it. Working together to complete home tasks was one of the ways the two of us bonded.
We rarely get to communicate because we were both so busy, so that is what we do as a bonding activity.
I finished doing the dishes, but he has not returned. I walked into the living room and sat down. While I wait for Atlas, I will just watch a movie.
When I felt the heat behind me, I sat on the couch and grinned.
My gaze shifted to the yard outside.
Because there is a glass door in the living room that leads to the garden, I can see him from here; it is fortunate that the curtain is not open so I can see him.
Instead of viewing the movie as the primary reason for my visit to the living room, I preferred to observe him.
As he listened to her on the phone, his brows drew together. I could see his jaws clench and his grim face even from a distance.
I was perplexed as to why he behaved the way he did. Is there an issue?
I waved at him when he noticed me looking at him. He never looked away from me after that.
I noticed how his chest rose and fell, as if he was soothing himself. To me, it is clear that he is completely insane.
When he hung up the phone, his expression clouded. I noticed him approaching me. I got up and opened the sliding door that separates the living room from the yard.
“Is there a problem? You seem agitated,” I inquire of cancer.
I was taken aback by his enraged expression. He most likely saw my surprise and attempted to relax. He drew me into an embrace with his eyes securely shut. His face was buried in the hollow of my neck.
I rubbed his back in the hopes that he would at least relax.
“I need to go somewhere,” he whispered, his face still pressed against my neck. I was taken aback.
“Where are you going at this hour?” I asked, raising my eyebrows. I wanted to inquire as to who had called him, but I was afraid he would get even more enraged.
“Is something wrong?” I inquire, concerned.
He just hugged me even tighter. He simply let go of his hug with me a few minutes later.
He said, “I will be right back, early,” as he stared at me intently, as if he was memorizing every detail of my face.
I gave him a big smile. I gave him a slow nod. He stroked my cheeks and lips.
Before going up to the second story to get the key to his car, he gave me a sweet kiss. He fell down rapidly as well, and he appears to be in a rush.
He kissed me one last time before leaving. I stood there watching him leave.
I am not sure why, but as I watched him walk away from me, my chest ached somewhat.
With a shake of my head, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation. Anna, you are being overly possessive. Atlas will also return after completing his errands.
I am not sure about it because he has not returned since he left. I would have told Atlas how I felt if I had known that was the final day we would have a decent connection.
If I would only known, I would not have squandered the chance to be with him. If only I knew he had not turned his back on me again. As my heart bleeds, I am full of what ifs.

He rushed out of his wife”s house, Anna”s. He and his wife were blissfully eating their dinner when he received a call from familiar numbers. He would not have answered because he knows how happy Anna is when they eat together or do anything together as long as they are together, and he also wants to get back at his wife because he has been busy these past few weeks, but his good wife, being the wonderful woman she is, said it was fine for him to answer the call.
He went to the backyard and answered his phone when it phoned again.
He was approached by the flirtatious voice of a woman he knew well. He recognizes the owner of the phone number that phoned him and is anticipating who it is, yet he cannot help but be shocked.
“Hey, honey,” the woman on the other end of the call said flirtatiously. His brows drew together as he realized who the woman was.
“Cat get your tongue?” the woman on the other line asks, laughing. Because he was so upset with the woman, he massaged his temple. He was supposed to be eating with his wife when this woman called to disrupt their conversation.
“What are you looking for, Cassy?” he asked, his tone chilly.
As he listens to the woman”s chuckle, his teeth are clenched.
“Aww, my baby is mad. I am here now in my apartment. I am back in the Philippines again,” the woman said, her smile visible in her voice.
He, on the other hand, was no longer able to paint his face due to the woman”s words. His brows are furrowed.
After he left him to be with a wealthy old guy, his ex-girlfriend Cassy Esguerra calls him.
She had been his girlfriend since they were in high school, but when he refused to marry her, she dumped him and replaced him with an older man who was equally wealthy.
Consider how much the woman”s actions harmed his ego at the moment. He did not lack as a lover to Cassy, but she could still trade him for someone else; it would have been better if he had been traded for someone richer and more capable than him; he would still accept if that happened, but no. She abandoned her to marry a man nearly twice his age.
The said man”s life appears to belong to the world, and Cassy traded him there.
He realizes that her ex-girlfriend will break up with him due to a previous disagreement. His parents plan for him to marry Anna, his apparently adoptive sister.
He is unable to stop his parents because he fears his father may suffer a heart attack.
They found the elderly Villareal had a heart ailment at the time, so he was only careful not to damage his father. He consented to marry Annalise for this reason as well.
Until today, the woman had no idea her father was sick. They do not want to tell Anna since she will be concerned.
“So, Cassy, I do not care where you go in the world, do not call me again,” he said while still standing. He was about to hang up when she said something that stopped him.
“Don”t you want to see your child at all?” she asked softly.
Because of what Cassy said, Alessandre appeared to be sprayed with cold water. The woman”s words did not instantly register with him.
“Alessandre, what you heard is correct: I am pregnant, and you are the father of the child in my belly.” Reattach the woman. She still seemed to enjoy giggling after that.
“What are you talking about, Cassy?” he asked, his phone clutched tightly in his hand.
He is on his cell phone, and he is yelling at the woman he is talking to.
Inside the home, he gazed at Anna. She was in the living room, sitting on the couch. When he saw her, he relaxed a little and even smiled at him.
“Stop talking nonsense, Cassy. We broke up over 10 months ago,” he told her firmly. He could not keep his rage in check.
If his ex-girlfriend is making a joke at his expense, he is not amused.
He used to be pleased with Anna. He eventually came to adore the woman. He did not want to squander her faith in him.
He despised the woman at first. When his father told him about his plan to marry him and Anna, his rage at the lady grew even more. For the love of God, he is just 25 years old.
Even in his dreams, being married had never occurred to him, and it was made worse by the fact that Anna was still his step sister.
He was enraged with the woman because he assumed she was the one who had conceived up his father”s scheme; however, it turned out that she had no idea what her chastised father was plotting.
“Have you forgotten? You fucked me when you followed me to France,” the woman said, her voice sneering.
“Aww, I am sorry, babe,” the flirty woman says. “Have you forgotten how you begged me to come back to you and how you ended up teasing me with delicious sex?”
He was taken aback and couldn”t speak right away. Because of what the woman said, he clenched his hand fiercely.
He followed Cassy to France a month after she left him, hoping to reclaim the woman, but he discovered she had married her new fiance.
Something did happen to them that night, to be sure. If he was not mistaken, it was in the month of June. He and Anna were gradually getting along during that period.
“Now, darling, come over to my condo; I miss you,” she joked.
Instead of enjoying what the woman said, as he had previously done, he grew sickened by it. He felt like he was betraying his wife, who was still smiling as she looked at him.
“I cannot and will not, Cassy. I do not know what passed through your mind again, but I am not going there, Cassy. We are done for a long time, and if you are pregnant, do not bother me. You have your husband. Do not make me laugh by saying that that is my child,” he snarled, his teeth clenched. He attempts to slow my breathing in order to lessen his rage towards the woman.
“Now that Anton is gone, just a month after you returned to the Philippines, tell me, don”t you still feel you are the father of the kid I am pregnant with?” the woman asks seriously.
“Come here to my condo. If you do not show up in an hour, I will go to the bar and get drunk. Let us see if your son survives when I finish all the alcohol in the bar,” she added coldly before hanging up.
As he gazed at his phone, Alessandre sighed. Is Cassy”s claim accurate? Cassy”s words had thrown his head into disarray.
He hugged his wife warmly as he walked over to her. He sensed Anna”s surprise at what he had done, but he dismissed it. Alessandre needed his wife to help him deal with his rage. She is the only girl who has the ability to soothe his boiling emotions.
He has no idea what the woman done to make him so reliant on Anna. He simply awoke one morning hoping to find the woman. She was also the only one who could calm Alessandre down.
Even Cassy could not stop him back then because he was so enraged, but Anna was different.
His rage dissipates almost instantly when the woman smiles at him. Just a kiss from her is enough to make him feel better.
Cassy”s condo was promptly reached by Alessandre. Fortunately, Anna did not inquire as to where he was going at this hour because he did not know how to respond to his wife. He does not want to tell her the truth.
When he rang the doorbell at her condo, the woman instantly answered the door for him. Her ex-girlfriend confided in him.
Her enormous belly bulge was visible because she was only wearing a panty and bra.
He was taken aback when he saw her stomach. The woman is not lying; she is indeed expecting a child.
When he raised his attention from the woman”s belly, she grinned as she saw his reaction. She kissed him on the cheek. He could not react right away because he was not expecting what the woman did.
He carefully pushed the woman away from his body when he regained consciousness.
He was aware of himself. He is perplexed because he is no longer attracted to the woman. Cassy does not appeal to him in the least. When she kissed him earlier, he didn”t feel anything.
His mind wandered to his wife”s pleasant face. He took a deep breath and walked into Cassy”s apartment. He will simply speak with Cassy and then return home.
Even though they are only a few hours apart, he misses Anna immediately. The two of them would have been lying side by side in their bed at this time.
With a lovely smile, Cassy appeared in front of him.
“So, do you want coffee, tea, or me?” the woman asked, her face lit up with delight.
Because of what the woman said, he felt uneasy all of a sudden. Cassy went so far as to wrap her hand around his arm. The woman squatted down and kissed him on the lips once more, but he kept his distance from her.
“What? Are you still upset at me for what I did, living you?” she inquired, but he remained silent. As he glanced forward, he kept his mouth shut.
“Duh, I just did that so you could divorce the filthy whore Anna; all I wanted was for you to divorce her and marry me instead, right?” she reasoned. “But you did not do that, and you just let me go with Anton, so no, you cannot blame me either.”
When Cassy called Anna a dirty whore, Alessandre”s teeth chattered. He refrained from reprimanding the woman. She was pregnant, and who knows what else would happen if he screamed at her.
He took a deep breath and gave Cassy a harsh stare. The coldness in Alessandre”s eyes astonished Cassy.
He stated angrily, “Listen carefully, Cassy. We have not been in a relationship for a long time. You left me. You went with that rich old man. And that baby you are pregnant with? I am not going to be that father. I have been extremely careful not to get you pregnant.”
When she heard him say he did not care, Cassy”s expression clouded.
“You have changed, Alessandre. Is it because of your shameless wife? Wait, do not tell me you already like her,” Cassy inquired.
“Oh my god! You are? Do not make me laugh, Alessandre. You married her to gain her restaurant chains, and now you are telling me you are in love with her?” Cassy”s caustic joint.
She was laughing aloud to herself.
“What does it matter if that is how I feel about Anna? You and I are long over it, Cassy,” he said forcefully.
Cassy stopped laughing and her expression went serious as she heard what he said.
Cassy stated emphatically, “I want you back, Alessandre.”
He swiftly replied, “But I do not want you anymore.”
When Cassy heard this, her expression clouded.
“You are letting me down because of that woman?” she exclaimed hysterically. “My god! You chose a low-class woman over me?”
Alessandre could not help but be enraged by Cassy”s words. When he glanced at her, he tightened his grip on her arm and his face clouded. Cassy appeared to be terrified of what he did, but she did not show it.
It is a loud cry, “Release me, Alessandre! I am harmed!”
When he saw Cassy”s devastated face, he realized. He simply let go of the woman”s arm there. She stroked the area of her arm where he had previously gripped it strongly.
“I am leaving; my wife is waiting for me in our home; do not phone me again,” he declared forcefully. Cassy fixed her gaze on him.
He was going to open the door to leave when he was halted by Cassy”s deadly threat.
“How will your dearest wife react when she finds out that you married her solely for her company? Tsk, she will undoubtedly become enraged and leave you; what if I tell her that I am pregnant and you are the father of my child? Do you think she will still stay with you?” Cassy sarcastically inquired. After that, she burst out laughing.
“Well, I am curious about her reaction as well, so why don”t we call her and find out?” Cassy suggested. “Or, better yet, I will just come over to your house and have a good talk with her.”
