Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-8

“Arrgghhhhh!!!!!” Rakur growled in his prison cell. He was in there all alone, and right next to him was Samara’s cell, with only lined up bars of metal separating them both. For hours they’d been locked up, and none of them deterred in their arguments and spiteful words against each other.
“Because of you! Because of your stupidity! I lost everything because of you… oh, Samara! You’d better thank your stars for this prison we are locked in. You don’t know how much it hungers me to kill you right now.”
“I did not know! I was not aware that it was all a trap. I only did what I did to help you, and now I’m regretting it now because it seems as if nothing I did would ever be good enough for you.”
“Do not seek the empathy you don’t deserve, you bitch! Whatever it is you did, failed. I should have killed you or even stayed away from you from the start. Do you know how many decades it took to build the army I lost today? Within the twinkle of an eye, they were wiped out, and you dare to open your mouth to say you helped me…”
“I will not stand here and take your insults, Rakur. You forget that it is both of us that are currently locked up in this cell. You forget that when you went down, I went down with you. I’ve always been on your side and you know it!”
“That’s enough, Samara.”
“No, it’s not enough; you’re the one who wanted to begin this argument so we must finish it today. I gave a better suggestion; we should have killed the night shadow alpha first and then have double our army to defeat the silver alpha, but no… your revenge was more important to you so much you wasted a sly cub. Now you blame me for your failure, the failure you caused for yourself…”
Samara’s words trailed off in shock as her eyes jammed with the pack leaders who had been standing in front of her cell. She didn’t know how long they’d been standing there, as her mind was too involved in the argument. Walden was standing there along with them, and he’d heard everything she said.
Damian saw the look of disappointment written boldly on his face. He’d trusted Samara so much, even against his own blood, and now look what she’ s done. She wouldn’t have wasted time in killing him if she were given the chance. How deceitful, how much he hated her right now.
Walden walked past them, and walked straight to her, where he was standing right in front of her cell, staring at her sharply in the eye through the metal bars. Samara placed her head down, as she dared not to speak a word.
“Apart from this, is there anything else you would like to confess to?” He asked.
When his question was met with silence, he screamed her name so much her ribs shook.
“SAMARA!!!”
She trembled, “sire… I… I…”
“All that Sandy accused you of, painting Conor black so he could be executed, killing witnesses, killing innocent guards, where they true?”
.
.
“I will not ask you this again, Samara.”
Samara looked up for a moment, and then bent her head back down in shame. This is the most humiliating experience for her, she wished then for a hole to just appear so she could crawl into.
Slowly, she confessed the words, “yes, sire… all of it is true.”
“And I am sure that you are even guilty of much more than that. This is so hard for me to believe, with how much I trusted you. I would have never believed an evil word against you unless I saw it for myself like this. How could you, Samara? What did I ever do to deserve your betrayal?”
For the first time in a long time, Samara shed tears, and this time, they were real tears, because she knew what awaited her after this, “I’m… I’m sorry, Walden… I don’t know what came over me… I swear that I never meant to betray you.”
“But you did, Samara. You didn’t just betray me… You betrayed your pack, your people, you betrayed yourself. I will never forgive you for that, Samara.”
Sobs, “please, Walden. Please… Find it in your heart to forgive me.”
“Where did all this evil come from, Samara? Your father was never like this… he was honorable, he was loyal even till his deathbed. So, how did you turn out to be like this, and why? What did you not have already? Was it power? Wealth? My love? My trust??? What was it that you didn’t have already?”
“Walden, please…”
All the other pack leaders remained in silence, none interfering in the scene. Walden was hurt, Samara had humiliated him so much… He’s not sure how he’ll ever recover from this. His voice shook but he had to find the strength to say the words, words he’d never thought he’d say in all his years of knowing Samara, still it had to be done.
“Omega Samara. You have been found guilty of crimes against your alpha, and your pack, and to all the neighboring packs. You have been found guilty of treason by laws of the pack. I hereby pronounce my judgement upon you and your accomplices as alpha of the night shadow pack. You are sentenced to death and you will be executed in the silver court.”

All the entire packs rejoiced as they celebrated the rogue’s downfall and the death of their evil leader. Miranda was happy that all of her and Damian’s efforts paid off, and thanks also to help from the other pack leaders, who for such a long time had never gathered together to achieve a common cause. The royalty stone also helped in convincing some of them to join the agreement.
She walked through the pack halls after returning from her duties in preparation for the unity feast where all pack leaders will be attending in addition to the celebrations. Something diverted her attention then; as she saw Walden in one of the balconies, staring into an empty space.
Miranda felt bad for him, as she’d heard what had happened with Samara. She walked up to him.
“Samara’s execution will begin soon. She also convicted her assistant, Killian.”
Walden shook his head, “I know, but I would have to excuse myself from having to watch that.”
Miranda understood his feelings perfectly, and then she empathized with him, “I’m sorry… I never wished for things to end up this way, Walden.”
“No. I’m the one to blame. I knew the truth this whole time, but kept on telling myself that it was all a lie. I wished for it to be a lie when I knew the truth as to what Samara was doing.”
“Sometimes things don’t always happen the way we wish for them to be, and that’s okay.”
“Samara was very close to me. I loved her more than anything, and then I made the mistake of loving her more than you, more than my own sister, now look how things turned out to be. I ended up being the joke in the presence of my comrades, all because of my love for Samara.”
