Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-8

Walden was just about to go out to look for his sister when he received an unexpected visitor. The very visitor he’d dreaded to see, as he was one of the reasons why Walden remained behind closed doors since the rejection, wallowing in his misery. But no, he is an alpha, he dared not let his true feelings show.
“Hello, Damian,” Walden greeted upon meeting with him in the night shadow court. “I don’t think I remember any such business the both of us should be involved in.”
“I didn’t come here for any arguments, Walden. I only came here to thank you for your assistance to us in the previous battle. My mate and I never expected it, and I didn’t get the chance to thank you properly before you left. I’ve been regrouping my men thanks to your help.”
“Very well then. I accept your appreciation. You may take your leave now.”
“I also wish to discuss something else with you, Walden.”
“What is it?”
“It’s a private matter, and shouldn’t be heard by the ears of everyone.”
Walden rose a brow. “So, you want me to clear the whole court just to speak with you?”
“If you can, that would be very much appreciated.”
Walden showed small reluctance, before deciding to just go along with it, part of the fact that his curiosity got the better part of him, he wanted to know what this private matter was.
“Guard!”
“Yes, sire?”
“Tell everyone to vacate the court premises immediately. I have a private matter to discuss with alpha Damian here.”
“Right on it, sire.”
Soon after, everyone was sent out, but then Damian spotted Samara who had been sitting there before, but was just about leave.
“No, not you, Samara. You can stay.”
“Why not her?” Walden asked.
“Samara is the only member of your court who I’m familiar with, besides I will need at least one witness for what I am about to tell you.”
“Samara is no longer an officer of my court, and I really don’t think that she should be trusted with any secrets.”
“It’s okay if you don’t trust Samara, but I want her to be here for what I’m about to say. We all have worked together before and achieved success despite our differences. I think the same thing can happen this time around.”
Walden wasn’t sure about this; Damian has no idea of Samara’s real intentions with Rakur against his pack. She does not deserve this trust he’s giving her, but at the same time, he’s promised himself that he wouldn’t interfere to help Miranda anymore.
Samara just stood there, staring between the two of them, before Walden finally agreed to let her stay.
The three of them sat facing each other, as Damian was the first one to begin speaking.
“The last time that Rakur attacked my territories, he might have retreated with his army, but through that, I learned something that we can use against him the next time he plans to attack.”
“Why do you need me for this?” Walden asked. “You’re the one that Rakur is bent on destroying so why do you have to involve me in your plans towards his downfall.”
“I’m doing you the same favor you did me, Walden. You might not realize this, but even though we appreciate it, your actions by interfering during the last battle did not do you any good. Rakur will now see you as a new target since you stood in the way of him taking down his opponent. I only came here because I think that you might need our help this time around, because we don’t know which pack Rakur will decide to attack next.”
Walden didn’t realize this, but Damian had a good point. He’d thought he was doing good, but it wasn’t to himself. Working together with Damian one more time didn’t sound so good, but if it were to protect his pack, he had no choice.
Damian continued.
“The neutral lands through which they made their escape is the only direct path that connects the rogue territories to the silver pack, and then the night shadow pack. When next Rakur decides to attack any of our packs, that’s the path he’ll most likely follow to retreat or attack, and that’s where we’ll be waiting for him, to finish him once and for all.”

Samara’s heart leaped as she made her way out of the court after the meeting. This is big news! Big news that Damian made a hefty mistake by trusting her with.
Now she knows that by all means, she has to meet with Rakur again. He might have banished her from his territories, but when he discovers this new plan of hers, when he discovers the plan that will ensure his victory this time around, he won’t stay mad at her for long.
She has to get going now, and this time, she’ll do well to bring some protection along with her, because she doesn’t know if Rakur will forgive her yet. She does not know if Rakur will decide to kill her, but its worth taking the risk. Damian won’t know what hit him when he finds that Rakur has thought well ahead of him again, and it will all be because of her.

“I thought I told you never to show your face in these lands again, didn’t I, Samara? You do not take my words for anything and you don’t realize how dangerous that can be for you.”
“I do realize, sire, but I still came. I still decided to take the risk to come here even when I knew it meant my life would practically be hanging on a thread.”
“Why then did you decide to come here?”
Samara smirked, “because I knew it would all be worth it once you discover what it was the silver alpha has specially planned to bring you down.”
“What are you talking about?”
“The silver alpha has begun to plan with Walden, and the both of them are trusting me by letting me know of all their plans. You might have threatened to kill me the next time I come here, but you and I know that the only reason you haven’t done that by now is because you need me, you still need me to be alive to give you all the information you need. You need me Rakur, and I am here to offer my service.”
