Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-8

“Yes, she would have, and I did. I helped her and her pack the last time. I lost a great number of men just to win back her love. I realize now that I should have never wasted my time trying to get her back. Rakur can do whatever he wants with them so long as it doesn’t affect me. This time, I will not be interfering.”
“Walden… I know you’re upset about Miranda. I know you’re heartbroken from losing her, but please, understand this. As long as Samara remains under our roof to do as she pleases, she will keep getting the resources she needs for her selfish desires. She’ll be depriving us of a lot of arms when we need them.”
“I have already agreed to strip her of her position, which means she will no longer have any control over the arms or guards. I think I’ve done enough by that.”
“Do you possibly think that could stop Samara? She could still hire goons, or how do you know she hasn’t built a secret army already?”
“That one is beyond my control, and like I said, whatever she decides to plan with Rakur is none of my business, so long as it doesn’t affect my pack or my people. My decision stands to stay out of things that do not concern me.”
Sandy sighed, dropping the conversation. It was no use arguing this any further, Walden had already made up his mind, she thought sadly as she left his room.
But no, she can’t give up, not yet now at least while Samara still has something planned. She knows she still has to do something. she is feeling very discouraged by Walden’s behavior, but she can’t give up, she just cant. She has to do something.
**********
Samara’s mood worsened with the unexpected news from Walden today; she’d been found out, and not only had she been found out, but she’d also been stripped of all her duties as a commanding officer. No more guards from the night shadow pack for her, no more weapons, nothing. This will affect her greatly, but she didn’t worry herself too much, for thankfully, she’d gotten the right of loyalty she needed, as members of her team still remained with her.
As she wondered down the hall to her destination, she took a look on the bright side of things, at least now, she was a free woman, as the night shadow responsibilities now had her choked up to her neck level. Also now, she wouldn’t be having any trouble sneaking out, as although Walden had found out her secret about being partners with Rakur, he does not seem to care about this so long as her actions do not harm the night shadow pack, it’s wolves and territories in any way. The surprise he’ll get when the bomb drops on him will be so satisfying, she smirked.
Now today, she feels like letting off some steam, she’s been tensed from almost getting killed by Rakur, also from losing her highly envied position, this was all because a certain someone failed to keep his mouth shut, and she would be dealing with that someone today.
Samara had already left the packhouse to wander deep into the forest before her wolf took her to the hideout, a cave not too far off the river back. Two of her men where there, along with a prisoner, Jasper. He sat on the ground, blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back, his whole face was bruised and all over his body were injuries as he’d been badly beaten up according to Samara’s instructions.
Samara’s wolf led her inside before shifting back to its human state, where she spotted the piece of trash sitting there on the ground. The two guards got to their feet as she entered, they gestured towards the wounded prisoner, showing them the work they’d done and she commended them, giving them a well done before speaking to him.
“So, you’re the one…” she growled. “You’re the Idiot who was monitoring every single move I made, to go and report to your precious mistress… Your stupid princess. So, tell me now that you are here, where is your princess? Why didn’t she come to save you?”
“Please, Samara… please forgive me,” Jaffar pleaded through blindfolded eyes, turning his face in the direction where he heard Samara’s voice. “I swear on my life that I didn’t mean to betray you…”
His words were cut off with a big slap planted on his cheek. A slap that revealed Samara’s bold handprint on his face.
She hissed, “You dare to ask me for forgiveness, after what you did? Because of you, I lost everything… I got banished from my allies’ territory, I almost got killed. I got stripped of my duties as an officer, and you dare to open your mouth and say I should forgive you for all that?”
Jaffar wetted the blindfold with tears, as he kept pleading for Samara’s mercy. Killian entered the cave then with a bundle of firewood in his arms. Upon noticing his presence, Samara turned to face him.
“Well done for exposing the rat, Killian. Every day you never cease to amaze me with your skills. I don’t know why I didn’t make you my assistant long ago.”
“My pleasure, mistress,” Killian answered as he bent to light the fire, before placing sharp pieces of metal into the flames.
Samara turned back to the hostage.
“You were wrong to beg for forgiveness, Jaffar, because if you know me well by now, you will know that Samara doesn’t forgive. But of course, you don’t know me, that’s why you dared to betray me.”
More tears flooded Jaffar’s blindfolded face as he begged for his life, “please, mistress…”
“What you should have been rather begging for is that I make your death as quick as possible, so you won’t have to go through so much pain and torture before I send you to meet your ancestors, but then you still begged for the wrong thing, you’re begging for forgiveness when you know that Samara never forgives.”
With her words, Jaffar stopped pleading, as he knew the inevitable was about to happen. This was his fate, this was the path he’d chosen for the sake of good, and now, he’ll have to pay for his life. Samara continued speaking.
“I’ll tell you what I’m going to do to you, Killian. I’m going to tie you up, and leave you hanging from the walls of this cave like a picture frame, and then, I’m going to plant beautiful holes all over your body with hot metal, the reason being that I want to see right through your betrayal.”
Jaffar only responded with more tears, no more pleading just tears.
“Who knows? Maybe if you’d begged for what you should have, then I would have made it quick.”
By this time, Killian had already prepared the fire, and the metals there were already red hot. The guards grabbed Jaffar from the ground and hung him on the wall as Samara had said, then with a piece of rag attached to the cold part of the metal, he handed the first one over to Samara, who wasted no time in digging it into his body, making the first hole, his screams came out next but no one could hear as these were the most secluded parts of the territory.
Killian kept handing her hot metal, while she kept planting the holes into the poor guard who kept on screaming, as Samara smiled, deriving pleasure from his pain, screaming along with him.
