Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-8

Rakur smirked, “you might have the cub and the stone back, but do not forget that you are still greatly outnumbered, Damian. My men still have a chance to win this battle and we will fight you till the end, regardless of if we have the stone or not. We will still win.”
He wasn’t wrong about that, as the rogue’s army outnumbered theirs by a hundred-fold. It was clearly an uneven battle, and Miranda wasn’t sure that there was a winning chance for them at all, even with the stone.
“The battle is about to begin, you have to go inside, Camila,” she told her.
Camila shook her head in response, “no alpha, I want to fight right beside you.”
This is a battleground, Camila. It’s no place for a cub like you, even with your powers. We do not even know if we are going to come out of it alive.
Then what good is hiding if we are not sure of our fate after this battle? Is not better to die out here than to wait inside until they come to kill me? You know that Rakur will never spare me if we lose this battle.
Camila was right, and Miranda didn’t want to argue any further since the young cub was bent on staying to fight.
Please, alpha Miranda. Let me apologize to the silver pack by remaining here to fight for them. I will do my best to ensure that we win.
Thank you, Camila. You can stay and fight.
Today marks your end along with all of your people, alpha Damian. today… the death of my child will finally be avenged. I will make sure to kill you, your mate along with every member of your inner circle, and then, I will take over all your territories.
Rakur’s threatening words were enough to make anyone cringe, because the rogue king would certainly do as he’d said. Still Damian kept his composure, even whilst not being sure of the outcome, he didn’t want to put fear in his men’s heart by making them think that winning this fight was hopeless for them. Even though it was at it seemed.
No matter what, Rakur. No matter how greatly you outnumber us, no matter how skilled your men are, we will never surrender to you. We will fight to protect what is ours, even if it means we die in the process. We will never surrender.
Oh… you’ll surely get that death you wish for, Damian. I promise it will give me a lot of pleasure seeing your head on my platter.
Your words hold no weight on our minds, Rakur… no matter what happens, we will fight until the end to protect our honor.
Rakur then raised his clawed fist, in a bid to give a signal to his men, then he pointed towards the small silver army ahead of them, giving the charge.
“Attack!!!”
**********
The battle was fieresome, but the silver wolves did well to protect their home, even with their small numbers. They fought off the rogues well enough to hinder them from penetrating the packhouse gates… they also had great help from the sly cub’s powers.
Sadly, their resources weren’t enough, and the rogues kept coming, the rogues hadn’t even exhausted up to half of their army but yet many of the silver wolves had already been killed.
Rakur grinned in satisfaction seeing that this battle was already in his favor. Over the years, he’s gathered his army. He’s reestablished them from the last war and now all his efforts are finally about to pay off. It is only a matter of time before…
Sire….! There’s been some urgent news,” one of his men ran straight to him, disrupting his thoughts.
What is it?”
Something unexpected happened…. It seems that the silver obtained external help prior to our coming here.
External help? From where? What is all this nonsense you speak of…?
Their army might be far away but it seems that they’ve gotten help from one of the packs nearby… a sudden wave of wolves just appeared. I was able to get that they’re from the night shadow pack… and they are attacking our army from the other end. We are surrounded by both sides, sire.”
Did you check the possible outcome of the battle?
We might be able to fight them off, but it means we’ll lose more than half of this army, sire…. A lot of our men will die.
ARRRRGGHHHH!!!!
Rakur did not like this at all… he’d almost tasted victory, and now the night shadow alpha had come from nowhere to ruin things for him… losing more than half of this army he’d suffered to build for so many years did not sit well with him at all.
He wants so much to kill this silver alpha, but now he’s been put in a difficult postion. He has to make a choice now that will determine his success at the end, whether he’s willing to risk the life of all his followers just to get his revenge. No leader would want to do that… no matter how evil his intentions were.
Sire… more of them are still coming…. It seems that they partnered with another nearby pack too… as I’m seeing red moon wolves amongst them.
So alpha Damian was not as solitary as he’d thought… he’d formed unions with other packs prior to this. How come he never got any word of this from Samara???
We have to retreat now… there’s a path our army can pass to escape… it leads to neutral territories… we will defend our men while we run for our lives sire.
Rakur still looked ahead… he can decide to end this now… or let his army perish without knowing what the outcome will be.
Sire… should we go along with this??? It’s the safest option we have now… sire?
Give…
Give what sire??
Go ahead with it…” Rakur sighed, “protect the armies we have left… there’s one last thing I have to take care of before I join you.”
