Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-8

The battle had begun, and according to reports from the gates, the rogues forced their way in, and had begun killing any silver soldiers standing in their way.
“There’s no way we’ll outnumber them, is there, Renard?” Damian sighed frustratedly.
“Unfortunately, no sire. I warned about sending majority of our troops out, now the stone we could have relied on for protection is gone as well.”
“Arrghhhh!!!” He cursed, picking an antique vase from the stool and smashing it on the ground.
“It won’t take long before they break into the court to finish what they started. I don’t think we can ever recover from this, sire.”
Renard’s words weren’t helping, and Damian had never been in this position before. In all his years of ruling, he’d never been placed in such a difficult state, his mind was shut out and for the first time ever, he didn’t know what to do.
“Damian…”
He heard her voice, felt her hand touching him. Miranda.
He’s so angry at her right now, but then… she seems to make up for it all with her presence. It still brings him a sense of calm, even despite all she’s done.
He turned to face her then, seeing the sincerity in her eyes. She’d put on her battle armor, and it made him wonder what she was up to.
We might not know how get out of this, Damian. I will never stop blaming myself for what happened. I might not currently know how to fix things, but I do know one thing; one thing you’ve always taught me. We will never cower. We will raise our heads to fight for what is ours head on, even if it means we die trying. It would mean the world to me, to fight right by your side, Damian. Even if we do not succeed in the end, at least we know we gave it our all.
Those words of hers… he wants to stay mad at her, but of course he couldn’t.
“I’m sorry, Miranda. I put the blame on you for everything as always, when I also, let my guard down.”
“No, Damian… it my fault I…”
“You didn’t know anything… I was the one who told Camila where the stone was. She would have never achieved her aim without my trust.”
“Oh, Damian…”
“I love you, Miranda. And I too, would want nothing more in this world, than to fight right by your side. Even if it means we die in the end, at least we died striving to protect what is ours.”
After his words, he grabbed her mouth and planted a long kiss on her lips, before calming himself to give some orders to Renard.
“Keep everyone inside, and prepare the available men on ground. Also, bring me my armor. My mate and I will be stepping out to meet Rakur now.”

“We could not find her!!!” Samara growled upon entering her room followed by Killian. “She should still be in town. I saw her last visiting her son in the cemetery. How then did that bitch now manage to disappear all of a sudden?”
Killian shook his head. “I have no idea, ma’am. She must have known that we’d be coming after her for running her tongue….”
Samara clenched her first tightly, “Arrghhh!!!”
“Hello, Samara.”
Upon suddenly meeting the princess in her room, she yelped, “Um… hello, your highness… w-what are you doing in my room?”
“I’ve been watching you dear, I’ve been watching you very closely nowadays. I know all that you’ve been planning.”
Samara rolled her eyes as if hearing the words for the first time, “planning? Your highness… I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Smirks, “of course you don’t… because you’re just as good as a liar as you are a conniver.”
She stood her ground, “Princess Sandy, I’m beginning to get upset by these words you’ve been using on me nowadays… I really do not want to cause any more collisions between you and your brother but if it continues like this, I’ll have to…”
“You’ll have to do what? Report me, huh? Lie to my brother through your teeth just how much of a saint you are, and how bad we are for accusing you? Is that all you can do? Why don’t you kill me to shut me up the way you did the others, huh?”
“Please leave my room now, Sandy. I do not want to start any arguments with you today.”
“Aww, what’s wrong? What put you in a bad mood? Is it because you couldn’t find any scapegoats to kill like you usually do?”
“Sandy…”
“Do not bother to go out looking for Hilda again. Do not waste your time because you will never find her! She is under my protection now, and she will remain so until the day of your execution…”
Gasps, “I promise that your brother will hear of all this, Sandy.”
“I couldn’t care less what you tell my brother, Samara. You can go ahead and frame up all the lies you can about me. You can even make him punish me; I do not care. But one thing; I’ll tell you one thing, I’m more than positive of, the truth will always come out one day, and very soon, your end will come.”
Before Sandy walked out, she added one last statement.
“You’ll get what’s coming to you for all you’ve done, Samara. I’ll make sure of it.”

Alpha Damian of the silver pack, and his beloved mate,” Rakur smirked as he stood bold in front of his troops, they were fifty times greater than the men Damian had on ground, but yet, the silver alpha didn’t shrivel in his confidence and bravery as he faced Rakur head on with Miranda by his side.
“You’ve come out to surrender, I suppose? You know it’s only a foolish alpha that will still agree to shed blood despite a battle he’s already lost.”
“Never! We will never surrender to you, Rakur. We will prefer to fight, and die as brave men than to ever give up what we’ve built willingly to you.”
Rakur shrugged, “very well… you will get the death you wish for… but first, I have a little show for all of you to see.”
“What show?” They wondered.
Then he called the name, that name that sent shivers up Miranda’s spine.
“Camila dear, come to me now with the gift you have for me.”
