It’s Miranda’s first day as queen, and it feels as if she’s got it covered already, especially after a fun-filled evening to celebrate her coronation, and then a passionate night with her husband, it didn’t seem as if anything could possibly go wrong today. She’d gotten up from bed and worn her robe, before receiving a message from the guards that she had a first visitor, one of esteemed calling, the red moon alpha. Damian heard too, and then left the bedroom to meet with her.
“Alpha Jireh is here. What for?”
“I don’t know. It was unexpected; he didn’t tell us he was coming before but I’m guessing it must be important.”
“If that is so, then you must go and meet him now.”
She nodded, “yes, I was just about to go downstairs to see him. Will you mind coming with me?”
He took her shoulders, “Miranda, I know that for any other thing, I would have loved to come along but for matters regarding the alpha, I think it’s best to leave you to handle it on your own.”

“Good morning, Alpha Jireh. Such a surprise to see you here. I didn’t know you were coming.”
“I didn’t know I was either but it turned out that this was not a meeting that could be avoided. I had to come as soon as I can.”
Miranda face itched with worried then. “What’s the matter? Is something wrong? Why are you sounding like that?”
“What I’m about to tell you Miranda, you might not like to hear it but as a leader that I am, I cannot avoid to talk about something like this.”
She didn’t like the way Jireh was scaring her at al. “What is it what is it you couldn’t avoid?”
“I don’t know how long this has been going on, but you have an enemy right next to you Queen Miranda.”

Samara has been trying. She’s been finding ways to get Walden’s trust again, it’s hard but she knows she can do it and now she’s found the perfect excuse to get his attention, to get him to leave that court as that’s all he’s seemed be interested in lately. He doesn’t talk with her like used to, doesn’t even tell her anything anymore, but today she hopes that today will be different because she’s going to do everything she can do to get Walden’s pity.
She entered the court unannounced. Walden was right there with a circle member delegating over some matters.
“What is it, Samara?” He raised as soon as she entered.
“I’m sorry to disturb you my Lord, but I’ve been having some troubles and I think you’re the only one who can help me.”
“Why should I be the only one who can do that when you have so many guards at your disposal? What is it?”
“I’ve been having trouble teaching the new wolves our fighting style. I don’t know… I just don’t seem to be good at it like I used to. I was hoping you could come help me we can work together just like how it used to be before.”
He looked into her eyes then saw the sincerity and plainness in her actions. He wished he could help her but sadly today, he’s not in the mood and he doesn’t think he’ll be anytime soon.
“I’m sorry Samara, but I’m afraid I can’t help you. There are many other soldiers that are familiar with the fighting style, I’m sure you can find one of them to help you. Please leave this court now.”
Samara did not hide her bewilderment then; this was literally the first time she would be asking Walden for help and he would blatantly refuse to do as she said. What has gotten into his mind? Who has been talking to him?
“Samara!” She heard Walden’s voice again, disrupting her thoughts.
“Y-yes, my Lord?”
“I told you to leave this court. I don’t know why you’re still standing there; you can see I was just in the middle of a very important meeting. Please get out.”
She left the place in a rage. Walden has lost so much trust in her within such a short time, all because of one mistake. This is truly hard to believe. This is truly hard to take. Walden is behaving like this and it’s for one reason only, Miranda.
How she hates that name so much! It’s because of Miranda now that Walden won’t listen to anything she says. It’s because of Miranda that Walden is bent on pushing her so far away. Now she knows that more than ever that Miranda has to go.

It came as an utmost shock to Valledor when the guards came into his room to arrest him that morning.
“What for? How dare she? How dare the queen try to arrest me without any form of explanation??? Is this her plan to get rid of those who do not side with her childish methods of leadership?” He questioned the guards angrily as they took him away. They didn’t give him a response but rather took him to the dungeons by order of the alpha queen.
Valledor feared in his heart the reason for this. He needs to know why he’s been arrested first before he decides to take any action.
“Guards!”
“Yes, sire,” one of them guarding the cell door answered.
“Can you send for my personal servant for me? Please, I want to speak with him in private.”
“I’m sorry sir, but that cannot be done. The queen has not given us any order to allow you any visitors you just have to wait for her further instructions before we decide on what to do.”
“Please, the queen doesn’t have to know about this, just let me see him. I don’t know if it’s the last time I will see him again. I just want to speak with him, please.”
After considering his request, the wolf guard finally agreed. “Okay fine. I will send one of the men to call him for you, but please be quick about it.”
A few minutes later, Luca entered his master’s cell, his face held the same wonder Valledor’s own held previously.
“What is it? Why are you here, master?”
“I don’t know the reason either, but it seems as if the queen has found out something.”
Luca remembered a very important detail then, something he had failed to inform his master of earlier.
“Sire, how did your meeting with Alpha Jireh go?”
“I don’t see how any of that concerns you. Why do you have to bring it up now?”
“I’m sorry sir, it’s just that I forgot to inform you earlier that alpha Jireh came to see the queen this morning, right after your meeting. I fear that he may have come here to report your actions.”
