“Let’s go, teach me how to ride a horse.”
Scarlet, fearing that Flynn might affect her mood, pulled him towards the southern part of the stable.
Flynn also felt it was better not to see and be annoyed, so he led a big brown horse away.
“Hmm? A Perlesh horse? Are you doing this on purpose?”
Flynn had only taken a few steps when he caught a glimpse of the white horse Molly was leading and felt a bit annoyed.
The Perlesh horse, also known as the Snow Dragon Horse, is a heavy draft horse originating from the Perlechshire District. It is tall, elegant, and very beautiful. It is one of the world’s top ten famous horses, with saddle time exceeding 20, 000 hours and costing at least $100, 000 for a morning ride.
No wonder Molly agreed so readily to come to the stable when I invited her. She must be planning to take advantage of me!
Molly snorted softly and looked away.
“Who told you to boss me around all day? Today I’m going to make you pay!”
“Pervert always staring at my butt!”
Molly thought angrily, deliberately walking directly in front of Flynn to prevent his lecherous eyes from wandering.
Little did she know that her proud chest had already caught Flynn’s attention.
“Practicing martial arts since childhood, I thought she was a tomboy. But in this tight-fitting riding outfit, her figure is amazing.”
“Spending $100, 000 on her, wouldn’t it be a waste not to take a few more looks?”
Flynn was lost in thought when suddenly he heard a loud shout.
“Stop!”
Kimber approached and stared at Flynn.
“Don’t you know that when my lady is here, no one else is allowed in the entire racetrack?”
“What, does Layla own this club?” Flynn sneered.
Kimber arrogantly replied, “Dream Club doesn’t belong to my lady, but there’s an unwritten rule that whenever she’s here, the whole stable belongs to her. Even the club owner acknowledges this. Is that reason enough?”
Flynn paused and squinted his eyes. “What if I insist on staying and riding for the whole morning?”
“You can!” Kimber pointed to a small patch of land outside the stable fence. “You can play there for as long as you want.”
Scarlet looked at the small patch of land, where over ten horses were crammed into just about 100 square meters. A few wealthy men and women were strolling their horses there without any displeasure on their faces.
Because in everyone’s mind, if Layla came over, they should vacate the stable out of respect. This is Dr. Woods’ reputation. This is the Grandmaster’s prestige. Everyone could only look up to her brilliance; even Niarak King Orion was no exception.
In the past, Scarlet would have accepted such things without question. But now she smiled coldly and said:
“Miss Woods is quite overbearing!”
Molly was shocked upon hearing this.
No matter where Miss Woods went in Ostrad, who would dare not give her face?
Are these two crazy?
Daring to openly challenge Layla’s status!
Who gave them such confidence?
God of War Cruz?
Got it!
Arrogant because of favor!
A petty person who gains power and looks down on everyone!
But even Cruz has to show Layla some respect!
After all, Layla’s connections spread throughout Ostrad!
These two are really inexperienced.
Especially Flynn; does he think being a Semi-Grandmaster allows him to speak loudly in front of Layla?
Even I, as the granddaughter of the Spencer family’s matriarch, have to bow down to Layla!
“Overbearing? Is that even human language? Isn’t it an honor for any club owner when Miss Woods visits?”
“Because Miss Woods got a membership here, Dream Club’s membership sales tripled! Do you call that overbearing?”
“This is what it means for women not to be inferior to men! The prestige of a divine doctor and the domineering aura of a Martial Arts Grandmaster! You can only look up; you’re not qualified to challenge!”
People gathered around and sneered at Flynn and Scarlet.
Flynn listened to their comments and laughed out loud.
“What are you laughing at?” Presley Hussain was very dissatisfied with Flynn’s attitude.
Flynn said indifferently: “I’m laughing at how ridiculous you all are!”
“You think Layla ranking fifth on Ostrad’s medical list makes her amazing?”
“Little do you know that some great talents hidden in mountains and rivers stand at the pinnacle of medicine.”
“They disdain competing for these worldly titles; otherwise, Layla wouldn’t even make it into the top ten!”
“For example, Bodhi from Alwood Mountains has better medical skills than Layla but isn’t listed on the medical rankings. So stop using those rankings as an argument.”
Molly didn’t comment. Being Bodhi’s disciple herself, she knew her master’s strength. If he wanted worldly fame, Layla’s rank would definitely drop by one place.
Kimber scoffed: “So what if they stand at the pinnacle of medicine? If they don’t come out to save lives with their skills, what’s the difference between them existing or not?”
“They don’t deserve respect!”
“Respect?” Flynn laughed again and asked:
“Layla charges millions for consultations; does that make her deserving of respect?”
“She’s just an ordinary person making money off her medical skills!”
Molly’s face darkened upon hearing Kimber say this and angrily retorted:
“Everyone has their own aspirations. Just because my master doesn’t want worldly fame doesn’t mean he lacks compassion.”
“He offers free consultations whenever he can during his practice sessions. So please be careful with your words.”
Kimber remained indifferent and retorted: “Just because you say they’re better than my lady doesn’t make it true.”
“Have you seen it with your own eyes?”
“Haha! I bet they present themselves like gods but are actually charlatans.”
The crowd nodded in agreement.
“These so-called masters always claim they’re unparalleled but get exposed easily!”
“Exactly! Miss Woods’ medical skills are genuinely impressive; these frauds can’t compare!”
“Hearing such nonsense used against Miss Woods shows how ignorant this country bumpkin is!”
Molly’s face turned pale with anger upon hearing everyone’s slander. Just as she was about to speak up, an icy voice came from behind:
“Presley, Flynn says these things just to provoke me; why bother arguing with clowns?”
Layla walked over and looked at Flynn:
“I didn’t expect you’d have some ability-becoming Blade’s chief instructor must mean you’re a Semi-Grandmaster.”
“But do you think that allows you to challenge my status?”
“In my eyes, you’re no different from ordinary people.”
Her demeanor remained lofty as if looking down from heaven without any ripples in her eyes.
Even if an ant becomes a sparrow, it can’t fly alongside a phoenix soaring above!
This was Layla’s view of Flynn.
“Blade’s chief instructor? Oh, I get it!” Kimber sneered mockingly:
“Missy declined Major General’s invitation after Mr. Powell died.”
“Then Major General approached Mr. Cox who unfortunately got killed by a grenade.”
“Having no other choice left him with Flynn as chief instructor?”
Layla calmly replied: “I don’t know because I don’t care about such trivial matters but your guess seems correct.”
“Haha…” Kimber laughed exaggeratedly while shaking her head at Flynn:
“What my lady discarded like trash became treasure for you-how unexpected.”
“When Major General visited back then did you kneel down gratefully?”
“But isn’t it tasteless for Major General appointing an ex-convict as chief instructor?”
“Ridiculous-absolutely ridiculous!”
