The hoarse cries made Ranita’s heart pound. Ranita knew without looking that Shannon was crying miserably, begging to die, while Brendon, helpless, could only patiently comfort her.
“Brendon… just let me jump! If I die, I won’t love you anymore! You can live happily with Ranita and your children! I’m just a burden… I’m really in pain and so miserable… I want to forget you too, but I can’t…”
“Let go of me!”
The heart-wrenching cries continued as Shannon screamed pitifully.
“Shannon, calm down! Please calm down!” Amidst a chaotic noise, the phone was hung up.
Beep beep beep!
Ranita’s eyes stung. She thought for a moment and drove to the hospital. Carefully avoiding people, she stood at the door of Shannon’s ward. Through the observation window, she could see a man in a white shirt quietly feeding Shannon water. Shannon’s eyes were swollen from crying, but her fair face was still beautiful, like a rare pearl in the deep sea. Shannon tilted her head and smiled sweetly, looking very happy.
Ranita’s feet seemed to freeze halfway. She didn’t have the courage to go in. It seemed that Brendon always had a place for her in his heart. As long as she made a fuss, he would compromise. If that was the case, even if they had a conclusion, there would always be someone else between them. This wasn’t what Ranita hoped for. Four years ago, she knew very well that there couldn’t be three people in love. Ranita turned and left. She went to see Olivia, unexpectedly running into Caleb.
“Miss Bowman, you’re here? Then I’ll leave first.” Ranita was stunned, seeing the cup in Caleb’s hand, she smiled at him, “Thank you for taking care of Olivia and dealing with the reporters.”
“It’s Mr. Stuart’s orders. If you want to thank someone, thank Mr. Stuart!” After a pause, Caleb added, “I just told Miss Foley that Francisco will cause trouble in the future.”
Ranita didn’t expect Francisco’s troubles to be resolved too. She felt a little better, “Caleb, I still want to thank you. You’ve helped us a lot.”
Caleb smiled, “Don’t be polite to me. It’s what I should do. You guys chat, I’ll leave first.”
After Olivia explained, Ranita learned that Caleb managed to make Francisco lose his job and would soon leave Kurima with Mrs. Cole to live in the countryside.
Ranita was quite happy. After encouraging Olivia for a few words, she drove back to Boulderland Mansion. After saying hello to Ewan, she left Boulderland Mansion with Ayaan. She didn’t want to trouble Dylan, but ended up staying in one of his vacant villas, which happened to be in the same villa area as Kora’s!
After settling down, Ranita received a call from Brendon, “Ranita, where did you and Ayaan go?”
“I’m with Ayaan in a safe place. Don’t worry. If you want to visit the child, you can call me in advance, and I’ll bring him out for you.”
“But it might not be possible in the next few days. I’m a bit busy.” Ranita’s tone was indifferent. She was heartbroken.
“Ranita, what’s wrong?” Brendon asked softly, “I heard from Caleb that you went to Tranquil Valley Private Hospital.”
“Yes, I went. To see Olivia.” After a pause, Ranita said, “I have enough security personnel here, so don’t worry.”
“Ayaan and I don’t like Boulderland Mansion, and the people there don’t welcome us either.”
