Everything was going well, Lucas was working from home and taking care of Carol; he never allowed any maid to take care of Carol.
He personally took care of her, thankfully she was not having morning sickness.
One month passed like this and now Catherine was in her ninth month, but Lucas never came to see her, neither had he answered her calls, which was irritating her to hell.
She made up her mind that she needs to do something big to remove Carol from Lucas’s life permanently, so Lucas would only belong to her.
On the other hand, James was stalking Alexa all the time; he was sending flowers to her every morning but the bouquet was always without a name.
Alexa was least interested in the flowers, she just kept herself busy so that James’s thoughts should not haunt her.
She always thought that he must be having a good time with Olivia and their unborn baby.
Today when Alexa came to the hotel, her manager informed her that someone had booked the whole hotel for lunch.
Alexa just nodded and left to start her favorite work that is cooking.
It was lunchtime when the guest who had booked the whole hotel, Alexa, felt strange when the guest ordered the food which was not on the menu, in fact, all the food was the same food which she used to cook for James.
She was in thoughts only the manager came in the kitchen and said, “Mam, guest wants to meet the chef”
Alexa removed her apron and walked towards the sitting area. Guest’s back was facing from where Alexa entered, she walked and said, “Hello, si”
She felt like her tongue lost the ability to speak because it was none other than James.
She was standing stunned there, James slowly stood from the chair and took her hands in his hands and kissed her hands looking into her eyes.
Alexa was unable to respond to anything out of shock and James took this opportunity and did what he was dying for.
He held the back of her neck and kissed her fiercely, he was devouring her, he missed her so much, her soft lips, her everything.
When his lips touched her lips at this moment Alexa was again shocked and realized what he was doing and it is wrong he is going to be a father, how can he do this to her.
She started pushing him, but in front of his strength, her struggle was nothing.
Alexa was feeling disgusting; she would never do such things with the person who belongs to someone else.
She pushed him with all her strength and his grip loosened a little. Alexa immediately gave a hard slap on James’s face and walked away.
James was holding his cheeks, this slap didn’t hurt him, what hurt him was the hatred he had seen in her eyes, he knows what he had done is unforgivable, but that doesn’t mean he will give up on her.
He smirked and murmured, “Even if you hate me Love, you have to come to my side”
He left from there; Alexa on the other hand rushed to the bathroom and cried her heart out after closing the doors.
Alexa was unable to understand why he was doing this to her, she knows he hates her, then why he came here and did all those things.
She calmed down after some time, and walked out of the bathroom, and ordered the manager to block James from her hotel.
The manager was surprised to hear her because Alexa never did that to anyone.
James reached his home which was in the opposite building of Alexa, he chose this home so that he can see her from his home also.
He was walking back and forth cursing himself for not controlling his emotions.
He was eagerly waiting for Alexa to come back home, once he sees her he can be assured that she is fine.
After waiting for two hours Alexa finally came home, but what boiled James’s blood was Adam, her so-called friend, who is always with her and also her business partner.
At first, he didn’t mind thinking that he doesn’t want to again misunderstand Alexa, but just a few hours ago she was crying and now she looks so happy with Adam.
James knew he needed to do something before he lost his Alexa forever.
James was fuming in anger, seeing Alexa talking to Adam happily, from the last month he had noticed that Adam never leaves any opportunity of accompanying Alexa.
And Alexa was also liking his company.
After spending some time with Alexa, Adam left. James saw that Alexa again skipped her dinner and went to sleep.
He was feeling so irritated, because it was quite often for Alexa to skip her food, she was not taking care of her health at all.
A week passed, but James was unable to see Alexa because he was hell busy with his work.
By the time he reaches home, all the lights of Alexa’s house are switched off and she sleeps.
Today James had a very important meeting, so he left early for office.
James was in a meeting with an important client when his secretary barged in the meeting room panting heavily.
At first, James felt irritated but he calmed himself thinking that his assistant had never done that before he immediately dismissed the meeting and asked, “What brought you here in this condition?”
His assistant somehow settled his breath and said, “Boss…”
He didn’t have the courage to go ahead and James was losing his patience, he shouted, “Tell me, Damit?”
“Bo.. Boss…. Ms Alexa is getting married today, all…all her family members are also here to attend the wedding” the assistant completed in a shaky voice.
James felt like the ground slipped away beneath his feet, he felt like his whole world had fallen.
His breath hitched; he fell back on his chair, unable to think what to do.
He knows one thing he will die without Alexa, she is his life, his breath, his everything.
At first, he felt lost for few moments, but just in few seconds he collected himself and ordered his assistant, “Get all our men to the church where this wedding is held”
He was about to walk out of his office, but he stopped in his tracks and asked his assistant, “Who is the Groom?”
