Chapter 16 She Fainted

Book:Taboo Love Published:2024-5-1

Candice, like a rat in the dark, had been paying close attention to Emerson in various ways. It was still clear that Emerson once said in her ear that he would never have another woman in his life.
But now, he was going to marry another woman.
Candice didn’t blame Emerson, let alone hate. There are few five years in life. She had Edward and had a new life, and he also needed to start again.
Robert was still in prison. Emerson was in his thirties. He also needed to marry a woman just to have a baby for Stewart family.
Suddenly, she had a spasmodic pain in her stomach. In pain, Candice can’t help bending down, and there are beads of sweat on her forehead. She went to the drawer to get the medicine. She shivered and swallowed it, and the pain slowly relieved.
The next day, the kindergarten had a physical examination.
At the hospital blood collection window, many children are crying. Candice coaxes this one and pacifies that one, forgetting the discomfort of her body. Until the children’s physical examination, she relaxed, but her eyes dulled and she slumped to the ground.
“Mom, wake up…” Her son’s anxious call gradually blurred.
Candice woke up in a hospital bed and her son curled up at the end of the hospital bed with her feet in his little arms. He fell asleep.
In a flash, Candice’s eyes were red. The boy was usually very cold, but in private he was so warm.
Candice got up gently and put her son to bed. She went out to ask the doctor who had paid for her hospitalization expenses. But it was midnight. She looked around and only found the doctor on duty.
The doctor on duty said that it was the director of the kindergarten who paid her the hospitalization fee. He also said that the director had paid the hospital fee for three days temporarily. And the hospital expenses should be paid by her as soon as possible.
Candice frowned, “doctor, I’m in good health. Why should I stay in hospital for a few days?”
The doctor on duty was not happy, “Miss, if you in good health, why do you faint?”
Candice pursed her lips and said awkwardly, “doctor, I have been suffering from dysmenorrhea. Today is heavy for me. And I took care of my children in kindergarten for a day and fainted because of hypoglycemia. ”
The doctor was very angry and said to Candice, “Miss, if you know your body so well, what’s the use of doctors and instruments? Dysmenorrhea may occur in many women. But your dysmenorrhea should be particularly serious, each time the menstrual blood will also be particularly much. And the blood should sometimes be black.
Candice nodded subconsciously, “doctor, how do you know?”
The doctor looked at Candice’s checklist and then said, “After preliminary examination, something has grown on your right ovary. To know whether it is benign or malignant, it will take seven days for further biopsy. So, let your husband or family come tomorrow. ”
Candice was suddenly upset. She reached out and touched her stomach. After a while, she said, “I don’t have a husband. My son is my only family.”
The doctor watched Candice walk back to the ward in silence, his eyes full of sympathy. She was a single mother.
Candice went back to the ward and lay down, holding her son in her arms.
There was only one question in her mind, “if I had cancer, what would my son do?”
Candice had no savings in recent years. She had worked in kindergarten for several years, but the cost of raising children and two people was very high. It is ok to treat a disease, but if it’s a disease that can’t be cured, there’s no point in treating it again.
This evening, Candice thought a lot, as much as the night when her parents died.
