Because the children ran into Jacob, Katherine did not take them out for a long time. She was also careful when she went out herself.
It was not until Theo said that Jacob left the country a long time ago that Katherine finally relaxed.
On this day, Theo suddenly suggested to take them out to play.
Felix and Merry, who were bored at home, were beyond joy.
Seeing them so happy, Katherine felt a little guilty.
If she needed to hide from Jacob every time she saw him in the future, it would be too hard for the children.
Time always flew by. If her children grew up quickly, then Katherine wouldn’t need to worry too much.
When they can think independently, she would respect their choice on whether they would like to go to Jacob’s side or stay with her.
But now, she would definitely not let her children get tortured by the Murray Family and by Lucia.
“Theo, I want to play in a ball pit.” Theo held Merry in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck and played cute.
“Okay, I’ll take you to play in a ball pit.”
Felix didn’t say anything.
Katherine kissed her son’s cheek. Felix didn’t like what Merry liked, but he already knew that he was her elder brother at a young age and needed to prioritize his baby sister’s needs.
The family went to an aquarium in a mall.
Katherine asked casually, “Isn’t there a ball pit near the house? Why did you choose a place that’s so far?”
They were in the downtown area, which was quite a distance from where they lived.
Theo’s eyes flickered and he calmly replied, “It’s bigger here, and the kids can have more fun.”
Katherine just asked what popped into her mind and nodded when she heard his reply. There were more things to play with here.
After playing with the two children for a while, they went to the supermarket and bought a lot of things.
After putting everything in the car, Theo suddenly suggested, “Let’s go shopping.”
Katherine just opened the door when she heard him and closed it afterward. She lowered her head and asked the children, “Do you still want to go shopping?”
The two children nodded hurriedly. “Yes!”
They were bored at home for a very long time. Now that they finally had the chance to come out, so they didn’t want to go back.
“Then let’s go.”
Theo smiled and touched Felix and Merry’s heads.
They wandered around aimlessly.
The city lights at night were brighter and livelier. It wasn’t as hot at night as it was during the day. The cool wind was very calming, driving away feelings of restlessness.
After walking for a while, Merry suddenly took Katherine’s hand, “Mommy, I want to pee.”
Katherine was taken aback for a moment and immediately bent over to pick her up. “Hold on for a while, I will take you to the washroom.”
Katherine was not familiar with this place. Theo pointed the way and said, “Felix and I will wait for you here.”
Katherine left with Merry in her arms.
Katherine didn’t know that after she left, Theo made a call, and several cars drove nearby.
The door to the rear driver’s seat was opened, and there were bright red roses inside.
Several people got out of the car and together with Theo and Felix, they handed these roses to passers-by and almost everybody had one.
When everybody saw the situation, they immediately knew that something was happening. Many people stopped one after another.
When Katherine and Merry came back, they noticed passers-by each holding a rose in their hands and became doubtful about what was happening.
“Is it Valentine’s Day today? It shouldn’t be.” Katherine wondered.
Today didn’t seem like a day with anything to celebrate.
While looking for Theo and Felix, Katherine discovered that someone was handing out roses.
When the people surrounding the two dispersed, Katherine saw their faces. They turned out to be Theo and Felix.
Katherine’s heart skipped a bit, and something flashed through her mind.
When Theo saw her, he finished giving out the roses in his hand. He returned to the car and took out a large bouquet of roses and a rose wreath and walked towards Katherine and Merry.
Theo put the wreath on Merry’s head, and the little girl smiled happily. He then knelt on one knee.
The crowd broke out in exclamation, and passers-by stopped one after another, forming a large circle automatically.
At the same time, the shopping malls’ billboards no longer played advertisements and instead started displaying photos. On the largest billboard, it showed Theo kneeling on one knee to Katherine. The proposal was being live-streamed!
Katherine was shocked and a little at a loss. She looked up at the photos on the screen, and tears almost fell.
Those photos ranged from when she was pregnant to when the children were born, learned to crawl, walk, and eat by themselves…
Each photo was meaningful in different ways.
Some passers-by understood the meaning while those who did not understand were amazed by how attractive this family looked. The children were too cute and made people like them at a glance.
What was even more eye-catching was that they were in a foreign country and looked like they were from the East.
Theo handed the roses to Katherine. His eyes were soft and loving. “On such a not very special day, I want to create something special. Today, I not only want to tell you that my love for the children isn’t any less than yours.”
