Chapter 24 Rachel once Before

Book:The Surging Of Love Published:2024-5-1

The training camps of the military district, looking at it, were hundreds and thousands of elite teams.
It was full of passion and vast momentum.
It was a holy place where masculinity gathered.
Rachel was feasting her eyes.
Sweat and loud shouts filled the sky with male hormones.
Among the crowd, Ewan Hill was so exceptional. He was standing out from the crowd, majestic and awe-inspiring.
Rachel had no chance to talk to him at all. She watched him exercising from a distance, basked herself in the sun.
Accompanied him to have lunch at noon, there was no chance to even say a few words because there were too many people.
Followed him to a meeting in the afternoon.
After the meeting, like a follower, followed him to the outside of the office. She sat on the sofa in the hall and waited for him.
Did nothing all day.
Rachel took out the phone from her backpack and found out the phone was out of battery, but she did not bring the charger when she went out in a hurry. It was at this moment that she remembered that she had not told her family where she was going.
Rachel walked to the front of the desk beside her, smiled at Bently and said, “Excuse me, when will Ewan be done?”
Bently stopped his work. He immediately stood up, saluted and said respectfully, “Mrs. Hill, there is no exact time. Master Ewan will come out after he is done.”
Rachel paused and then took out her phone, “Excuse me, is there a charger for this model?”
“No, Mrs. Hill.” said Bently.
Rachel forced an awkward smile. The address of Mrs. Hill made her feel awkward but she didn’t know how to correct it.
Bently immediately walked out of his seat, “Mrs. Hill, please wait for me awhile here. I will go out and buy you a new one.”
“No need…” Just when Rachel wanted to reject, Bently had already taken a big step and left in a hurry.
Rachel could only sit back on the sofa. She leaned against the sofa weakly, blinked and looked up at the ceiling with her messy head.
The matter didn’t seem to be resolved as easily as she thought it would.
The skylight was sinking and the night came.
An important military report occupied Ewan all afternoon.
It was after he finished his work he found it was dark and the warm yellow street lamp had been lit outside the window.
He tidied up the important documents then placed them nicely, stood up and wore his gray military jacket. He turned off the office lights and walked out of the office.
Ewan stopped suddenly after he walked out of the hall. He frowned slightly with his deep eyes fixed on the sofa.
There was a petite woman lying on the brown leather sofa. His footsteps lightened, and he slowly approached.
Rachel was already asleep on the sofa. Her dark and silky hair covered half of her face, her coat was a little flimsy. She fell asleep with a very tired look.
Ewan glanced around and found that Bently was not there.
He took off his military jacket and moved gently and lightly, carefully covered it on her body.
The moment he was covering his clothes on her, Ewan slowly knelt on one knee. He squatted down and stared at the sleeping woman in front of him.
He watched her for some time.
He still couldn’t help the throbbing in his heart. His slender fingertips stretched out towards her slowly to pull the hair on her cheeks to the back of her ears.
The woman’s fair pink face was exposed.
He stared at Rachel. She had lovely eyebrows, slender and flexible eyelashes, a tall and delicate nose, her cheeky face without any makeup was so beautiful, watery and rosy cherry lips were even more tempting.
Ewan’s body became stiff. His uncontrollable hand approached her face little by little.
His heart was trembling, even his fingertips were also trembling slightly. It was a distance of one centimeter away from her cheek, he abruptly held back and grasped his hand into a fist, suppressing the impulse. He couldn’t touch her.
His deep eyes were black as ink, his gaze became extremely hot, the sentiment flowed in his eyes. It was an impulse and desire that could not be vented.
Just a simple touch, he restrained with his whole body.
Looking at asleep Rachel, his heart was dazzled. The pleasant look of Rachel when she was a child emerged in his mind.
The girl who took him as the center of everything, revolved around him every day.
The Rachel in memory.
“Ewan, Rachel wants to eat a lot, grow taller quickly and be as tall as you, studying in the same school and the same class. Ewan, please don’t grow up anymore, wait for me…” Rachel said.
“… In Rachel’s heart, you are the smartest, most powerful and the most handsome. No one can ever compare to you, when you grow up to be a somebody, Rachel will be your little follower.”
“Ewan, I’m afraid of the cold, I want to sleep with you.”
“Ewan, I’m afraid of thunder, I want to sleep with you.”
“… I’m afraid of the dark, I want to sleep with you.”
“… The stars are so beautiful and the moon is so round, I want to sleep with you.”
“… If I can’t sleep with you when I grow up, Rachel doesn’t want to grow up.”
At a five-year age difference, Rachel had pestered him since she started learning how to walk, from hating her ignorantly, to be tired of her, to get used to her, to fall in love with her. Rachel pestered him through the most wonderful childhood.
He had been entangled by this little witch for half his life, annoyed but happy.
If time were reversible, he would rather not grew up in this lifetime, at least he would not lose her.
But things do not turn out the way you wanted, reality was often so cruel.
This little sister pestered him every day, occupied his bed, laid in his arms to sleep every day, at this moment, he didn’t even have the courage to touch her face.
Memory was like a sharp blade, pierced through Ewan’s heart till it was riddled with holes.
He slowly closed his red eyes, took a deep breath, and pulled back his clenched fist.
For a moment, he slowly bent over, moved lightly and gently, and carried up Rachel horizontally.
Slowly turned and walked out of the office.
Everyone was having dinner at this hour.
Ewan took Rachel back to his suite, placed her on the single bed, gently got her backpack off her, took off her shoes, and covered her with a blanket.
It was still a bit cold at night, and he was afraid that Rachel would feel cold, so he took out a quilt from the cupboard to cover her.
After settling her down, Ewan stood still on the edge of the bed, staring at Rachel’s sleeping pretty face.
Suddenly, the door was knocked.
Ewan reacted immediately, afraid that the knock on the door would wake up this tired woman. He quickly turned around and walked to the door and opened the door.
Bently saluted steadily and passed Ewan the charger in his hand, “Master Ewan, this is the charger that Mrs. Hill needs.”
Ewan’s eyes darkened slightly, and he said faintly, “Take it away.”
“Mrs. Hill’s phone is out of battery, this…” Bently said.
“If she asks for the charger again, just say no, don’t give it to her.” Ewan said.
Bently couldn’t understand Ewan’s behavior at all, but he just had to obey the order.
“Yes.” Bently said.
Bently was about to leave, Ewan hurriedly said, “Bently.”
“Here.” Bently said.
“Bring a snack to my room, the best sweets.” Ewan said.
Bently was stunned again, Master Ewan in his memory didn’t like sweets, basically wouldn’t even touch them, suddenly he wanted sweets made him very confused.
