Ewan Hill looked horrifyingly cold, staring at the woman who just got into the car without saying a word.
“I am sorry, Ewan. Can you give me a ride?” Sienna put her palms together and asked in a low voice right away.
She could feel the terrible vibe in the car because Ewan’s rage was in the air.
She didn’t know why Ewan parked the car here, or why he was infuriated. But she had to finish the scene.
“Get out of my car.” Ewan’s tone was as cold as an ice cellar.
Even Bently Ramos, who was in the driver’s seat, turned around quickly, winked at Sienna and whispered, “Please get off the car, Miss Sienna.”
Sienna looked back at Rachel who was standing at the entrance of the building, gritted her teeth, asked while swallowing her pride, “So you were here for Rachel, right? Why are you doing this? Aren’t you aware that we are getting married?”
“Hush!” Bently panicked and put his finger on his lips.
“Don’t hush me!” Sienna was so upset that her face turned red, and then she yelled at him.
Bently was shocked. He faced the steering wheel right away because he didn’t want to get involved in this matter.
Sienna turned to look at Ewan. He was so furious that his face looked as if it was twisted.
What a dilemma! Her palms started to sweat because she was nervous. She wasn’t sure why he was so angry, but it definitely wasn’t her fault.
Sienna decided to take a bet after seconds of pondering, “Did Rachel upset you?”
“Get out.” Ewan leaned on the back of the chair, slowly closed his eyes and spit out the two words.
Sienna swallowed her saliva and moved slightly. Instead of getting out of the car, she sat upright and said in a sarcastic tone. “God knows why you got upset like that. It seems like only Rachel knows why. I guess it’s because he is going to come back?”
Ewan closed his eyes to rest a little, but the hand placed on his thigh involuntarily turned into a fist. The veins were revealing, and the vibe was changing.
Sensing the change in Ewan, Sienna sneered and her tone got softer, “Rachel just told me that she was expecting our wedding to be held soon so that he could come back from abroad to attend the wedding. Poor Rachel, she’s been separated from the man she loves for a year! It must have been tough for her…”
“Are you done?” Ewan suddenly uttered the words coldly, his face darkened unprecedently.
“What are you afraid of?” Sienna sneered, “Seems like you are really scared of him coming back.”
The veins on Ewan’s neck were popping. The suppressed anger was aroused little by little. Even Bently started to worry. The vibe made him like sitting on needles on the driver’s seat.
Sienna reached out her mink coat. It looked like she had no choice but to irritate Ewan. She started to talk about the past in a sentimental tone on purpose, “In fact, you should have given up on her when you joined the army ten years ago. You gave Rachel the only heirloom that your mother had passed on to you. Yet she didn’t care about it and just gave it to me right away. You meant nothing to her, but you mean the world to me.”
With that said, Sienna pulled out a necklace. The chain was made of platinum and the pendant was a rare priceless jadeite.
What was more, it was in natural four-leaf clover shape.
Sienna took it off slowly, stroked it with admiration, and handed it to Ewan at last.
“I have already worn it for ten years. It’s time to return it to you since you originally intended to give it to Rachel.”
Ewan slowly opened his eyes and fixed his gaze on the jewelry. His mother told him that it was called ‘Forever’ when she left the Hills. It had been passed on to his grandmother for generation. And his mother asked him to give it to his future wife and pass it on.
It not only represented eternity, but also represented all his love.
Sienna had used the jadeite to upset him several times. But his reactions were the same, and this time was no exception. Ewan didn’t touch it.
At the corner of his eyes, Ewan saw Rachel coming out of the building then hailing a taxi. He couldn’t be angrier at this point.
“I would never ask anyone to return the things I have given away. It is irrelevant to me whether she throws it away or gives it to someone else.”
With that said, he opened the door and was about to get off the car. Sienna didn’t expect that he would get out of the car. She shouted anxiously, “Where are you going, Ewan?”
“Send her home.” Ewan turned around and commanded Bently.
Bently nodded and stepped on the accelerator right away. The car dashed out.
Sienna gripped the jadeite tightly, stared at the two people outside the car window while gritting her teeth with hatred.
The cold rain fell on Rachel’s cheek. She pulled the taxi door.
Suddenly a hand stretched out behind her and slammed closed the door hard.
With a loud noise, Rachel turned around in shock.
The tall slender figure stood behind her was in a black windbreaker.
She looked up and saw Ewan’s good-looking face, and felt her heart was colder than the rain.
Ewan looked gloomy. He stared at her as if he was about to swallow her, vaguely with hatred and rage.
This man is way worse than the weather.
“Ewan…”
He suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. Rachel felt like her wrist was about to be crushed, tears were rolling around her eyes as she frowned.
“What did I warn you about?” Ewan said word by word.
Rachel wasn’t in the mood to listen to what he had said at all. “Please let me go, Ewan, you are hurting me.” She begged while wrestling with his strong hands.
Ewan was not moved at all, “I have warned you not to be close to Andrew. Yet you just ignored my advice. How dare you to follow him?” He scolded her word by word furiously.
So, he found out eventually?
Rachel was so painful that tears were bursting out of her eyes. Raindrops fell on her body and cheeks. She was so cold that her body started to tremble. “I am so sorry, Ewan. Could you let go of me? My arm hurts so badly… please… I am begging you, let me go.” Ewan’s violence made her even more uncomfortable, she choked with sobs.
He not only didn’t let go, but also suddenly pinched her cheek, forcing her to raise her head.
Rachel was in huge pain. The man in front of her scared her like a devil. He could easily crush her like a clay doll if he pushed it a little bit harder.
Tears mixed with rainwater were dripping down her face uncontrollably. Her heart was dripping with blood while she looked at Ewan’s emotionless eyes. She didn’t ask him to be gentle, but why did he hate her so much? Why did he have to torture her?
“If you think you are capable of everything, our deal is off, Rachel. Go ahead and take care of your mother’s case.” Ewan narrowed his red eyes. Nobody knew if it was rage or pain. He warned her with an extremely unsympathetic tone. “Learn how to obey if you want my help.”
Rachel choked and answered, “I will obey. I will behave myself. Please let go of me.” She sniffed her nose, and her cheek was so painful.
