After sending a text message to Patrick, Twinkle took off the earrings while sitting in front of the dressing table and carefully placed them in the jewelry box.
The phone vibrated on the desk.
Patrick replied a word to her. “Same.”
She curled her lips, thinking that he was probably quite busy, because otherwise he could’ve called her or replied with more words in the text.
