Jake didn’t show signs of joy or anger. “When there’s a problem that you can’t solve, you think of getting us to help. Now that the problem has been solved, you’re kicking us away?”
“Mr. Nelson, Patrick didn’t mean that,” Donald interjected nervously.
The little girl didn’t seem to sleep well, turning her head in Patrick’s arms and tightening her eyebrows.
Patrick gazed at her lovingly, slightly raising the corner of his lips. “I’ll go, she won’t go.”
“What are you pretending in front of us for? Perhaps you are worried that we might hurt her?” Jake seemed a little angry. “Grandma said that you like the glutinous rice balls she makes. Knowing that you come back at this time of the year, the rice wine has already been prepared.”
Patrick finally lifted his eyelids and looked at him, explaining meaningfully, “She might not stay with me for a long time, so I don’t want to restrain her.”
The air suddenly became quiet.
Jake met Patrick’s eyes, and finally understood a bit. “You really got yourself into it.”
Twinkle changed into a lotus pink silk nightdress. Her small figure lied on the big bed, especially weak and fragile. She was covered with a snow-while quilt and her small shoulders were still shaking, making her appear very pitiful.
Her face was being wiped with a warm towel and her tears fell like a broken line of pearls.
Janet Jane signed while blaming herself until Patrick reached out and took her towel. “I’ll take care of her. You can leave.”
“Patrick, I…” Janet Jane felt guilty. She didn’t expect Twinkle to go to a dangerous place like a bar to get drunk and to cry as much.
Patrick’s brows showed impatience. “Leave!”
Soon enough, there were only two people left in the room.
“What a bad guy. So mean! How could you go out with another woman behind my back, bastard!” Twinkle choked with tears and mumbled.
Twinkle’s bright red cheeks looked particularly glamorous – not entirely due to alcohol but due to her by tears if one looked closely.
It was obvious how fiercely she cried today.
Half dreaming and half drunk, she shook her head back and forth, as if she could not get rid of the tingling sensation on her cheek.
But something refreshing was quickly applied to her cheeks, and warm fingers helped her spread it out.
The nourishing and comfortable feeling relieved her anxiety. Twinkle didn’t cry anymore and seemed to be asleep, but still choked every minute and sleep-talked a bit.
Lifting the quilt on the other side of the bed, a tall, toned body laid on her side, gently bringing her delicate body into his arms.
His lips pressed against her forehead.
Whenever she began to choke anxiously, his incredibly gentle voice would float in the whole bedroom, driving away all her anxiety.
“I don’t like uncle. He went out with another woman behind my back. So mean! So hurtful!”
“No, that didn’t happen! It really didn’t, my dear!”
“He has other women. Lots of women went out with him before!”
“That never happened, and it won’t happen in the future! Don’t cry, dear.”
For a long time afterward, the woman kept sobbing out of grievance and the man continued to gently comfort her.
Twinkle gradually stopped choking and fell asleep.
When Patrick comforted her, his big hand slowly moved upwards along her beautiful back-line, patting gently while his warm lips tirelessly pecked on her forehead.
Although Janet Jane helped clean Twinkle’s body and changed her into pajamas, she didn’t put any underwear on Twinkle, making it convenient for Patrick to hug Twinkle’s soft and fragrant body.
As time passed, the temperature between the two rose higher and higher. His warm lips gradually became hot, kissing her from her forehead down to her red lips, worried that his inexperience might cause him to bite her again. This time, he deepened the kiss and slipped his tongue inside her mouth until she suddenly made a loud noise.
“I don’t like uncle. I like Dawn; he’s the best!”
Patrick stopped moving in an instant.
“The man who just held me was also very handsome!” Twinkle spoke again.
Patrick, “…”
“Everyone is better than uncle!” Twinkle continued mumbling.
Patrick, “…”
The temperature between them gradually dropped. Patrick lifted himself off of her body.
When Trump returned, he saw the bedroom door open and Patrick pushing the wheelchair out of the room.
“Patrick!”
Trump stepped forward, followed by Donald and Janet Jane. Everyone waited carefully for instructions from Patrick.
To everyone’s surprise, Patrick was sullen as if someone owed him billions of dollars and pushed the wheelchair towards the study room in a murderous manner, shutting the door with his backhand.
Trump and the others looked at each other, but no one dared to say anything.
The next day when Twinkle woke up, her entire body felt cold.
The air conditioning in the room was turned down and her quilt fell on the ground. She laid on a large bed in an unfamiliar nightdress and pitifully rubbed her eyes, looking around in confusion.
When Twinkle finally remembered something, she jumped up suddenly and found the room in front of her to be quite familiar.
That’s right!
This is Patrick’s hotel suite!
She took the plane last night here to catch him cheating. She turned her head to find a piece of paper and a pen left on the bedside table. Twinkled recognized the pen to be Patrick’s and noticed the word on the paper – search.
Oh, damn it!
Twinkle’s eyes glowed with anger!
She was brought back by Patrick’s subordinates!
Seeing her pink-blue suitcase not too far away, Twinkle spread her feet and pounced on it.
Shortly after, she walked out of the bathroom with a white ruffled short-sleeved shirt and a long black pettiskirt. Her hair fell naturally over her shoulders and she looked like Snow White from the fairy tale, beautiful and cute.
Twinkled opened the bedroom door and Janet Jane immediately greeted her. “Miss Simpson, would you like to have breakfast?”
“I’m taking the plane back! I don’t want to see any of you guys!” Twinkle’s facial expression was cold.
Seeing her purse on the couch, Twinkle strode over and after searching through it, Twinkle screamed. “My wallet was stolen last night at the bar!”
The door of the study room was suddenly opened and the man in the wheelchair looked at her with an icy stare. “Your ID and phone are all with me. Stay patiently for two more days and we’ll go back together afterward.”
