Chapter 69 What Does This Mean

Jenny was speechless.
James had been helping her for so many years. If she really needed to see, James started to help her when she was eight years old.
She couldn’t help but smile, “You’re actually making fun of me.”
“It’s you who said that you bothered me.” After cutting an apple to pieces, he put toothpicks on it and handed it to Jenny. “Finish it.”
As Jenny grew up, her least favorite fruit was the apple. When she saw him cutting, she wanted to stop him. Now he even wanted her to finish all of it.
She shook her head with hesitation. “I don’t want to eat that.”
“No way.”
“I don’t like apples…”
“But you have to.” James looked at her seriously, “Eating apples is good for your wound healing.”
Jenny still shook her head, “I don’t want to.”
“Come on.” James pulled out her other hand and placed the plate with apples in her palm. “After you finish, I’ll take you out for a walk.”
Jenny had no choice but reached out and took the slice to eat one by one.
Although the apple was very sweet, she still felt plain.
She thought to herself, “What kind of sin did I commit? If I hadn’t run into that kidnapper, I would have stayed in school with my classmates, gone to the square to feed the pigeons after school, and then had BBQ with friends.”
Shaking her head and forcing herself to be distracted, she asked James, “How long will you stay in America?”
“What? Do you want me to stay longer with you?” He joked casually.
Jenny was a little embarrassed, “It’s not. I’m just wondering.”
“I’m not sure. I may leave in a few days, or stay for a while. I haven’t made my decision yet.”
“Why are you not sure?”
James shook his head slightly, “There are many things in the country that cannot be put down temporarily, but I will try to stay for a few days.”
Although he really wanted to live here and went through this period with Jenny, he couldn’t just do it.
Jenny nodded, “People with a wealthy background like you always have to worry a lot.”
As he heard her say this, James laughed out loud, “Who did you learn all this from?”
“On TV.”

In Andrew’s, ever since her daughter was kidnapped, Yasmine had been feeling uneasy and often woke up in her sleep.
At this moment, Sean was sitting on the sofa with her. His face fell when he heard her talk about what happened after seeing Harold that day.
Yasmine kept nagging, “Now that our daughter has been imprisoned by him for so long, I think about her every day. Harold is really cold-blooded. He can even do such a thing!”
Sean squinted at her and snorted, “When I told you not to go to him, you didn’t listen. You just did it anyway. Now you see what happened!”
He got angry at the thought of this.
He was busy with domestic affairs for several days. As soon as he met Yasmine, he heard such ridiculous news.
“Could you ask me if you want to do something next time? You can do it after I think it is feasible. Now, you didn’t save our daughter and even offended Harold again!”
“What are you talking about?” Yasmine was dissatisfied. “Is it wrong to save my daughter? I think you really don’t care about Torah’s life. You only care about Jenny Andrews, don’t you?”
Sean frowned. “Why did you mention this again? How many times did I have to explain to you?”
“If you hadn’t got that woman pregnant and made her give birth to Jenny, Torah wouldn’t have been treated like this!”
“You!” Sean was furious. “It’s Torah who did such a thing and didn’t cover herself. She did all these to herself today!”
As Yasmine heard what he said, she couldn’t believe that he actually dare say that. “What do you mean?”
Sean turned his face to other side and said nothing.
He admitted that he had the idea of connecting with the Quarrington family in the beginning, but he always believed that everything should be done slowly and they shouldn’t be eager for quick success and instant benefit.
Now things turned out to be like this now. There was no way of turning back!
He sighed and tried to make his voice sound calm, “It’s useless for us to fight here. The top priority now is to get Torah out.”
“Okay, then let’s go to Harold’s house. If we can’t get our daughter by going there once or twice, we can keep going every day. I don’t believe that he won’t let go of our daughter if we do it in this way.”
As Sean heard that, he slammed the cup in his hand to the tea table.
This woman was usually very shrewd. How could she be so impulsive when she encountered things about Torah?
“You still want to make trouble? Can’t you figure out what Harold meant last time? He is warning us that he will really do something to Torah if we do it next time!”
Yasmine understood what he meant, but she couldn’t come up with a better idea now.
She asked Sean, “Then tell me, we don’t know anything about Torah now. Where are we going to find her?”
When it came to this question, Sean Andrews fell silent.
In such a big country, he couldn’t find her no matter where Harold had hidden her.
What’s more, he couldn’t be sure whether Harold hid Torah in the country. Maybe she was sent to other countries.
He sighed irritably, thinking about how to start.
According to what Sean usually did, he would first install a tracker on the person that he wanted to find, or check his communication records and investigate from the person closest to him.
But now his opponent was none other than Harold.
He didn’t have much power in the United States, but Harold was different. His group in America was stronger than he had at home.
Even installing a surveillance device near his home would easily be spotted by him, not to mention installing a tracker on his body.
Although he didn’t look so alert, the bodyguards who followed him were really competent. His six bodyguards could take down over twenty men that he brought, which was terrifying.
Thinking of this, he sighed again.
His wife could offend anyone she wanted, except for Harold.
Yasmine asked anxiously, “Do you have any ideas?”
If Torah Andrews was still in Harold Quarrington’s hands, she could never live in peace.
Sean shook his head irritably. “Don’t worry about this. Harold doesn’t mean to deal with her yet. You should wait.”
Once Sean decided to save Torah, he had to succeed.

One afternoon passed quickly. Jenny didn’t know if Harold was too angry or busy. He didn’t come to see her since he left.
Jenny felt that her world became much more peaceful.
After having lunch with James, they went to the park closest to the hospital.
Summer was coming. Now it was the best time to go hiking. Jenny proposed to go climbing, but the idea was rejected by James as soon as she said it.
After all, her arm was not completely healed, so James really didn’t dare to take any risks.
The springtime in America now was no different from summer at home. A month ago, people had already put on their T-shirts. Now many girls put on short skirts.
As they were walking along the way, the air was so fresh. Many street singers were tuning their instruments on the side of the road, trying to sing some familiar or strange ballads.
Jenny held James to stay. One of the girls with short hair sang in a husky voice.
