Chapter 35 Damn the misunderstanding (Part one)

Book:My Sassy Hunk Published:2024-5-1

Hale on listening to what Zack said, laughed loudly, “I was wondering what the matter was! You’re worried about this? Haha haha ….”
Zack was even more upset to see Hale laughing, he just wanted to go down and clear up the misunderstanding with Nancy.
Hale stopped him, wiped his tears, and reasoned, “It’s useless if you go down this moment to explain to her. When girls are upset, they won’t listen to any explanation.
Zack stopped, continued to sulk, “Then what must I do? Her eyes were already red!”
Hale seems to know how to handle the situation, “Didn’t you see her bestie go down with her? I’ll find out more from Mandy afterward. You just settle down. Anyone could see that Flower babe…” as soon as he heard the words Flower babe, Zack’s glared fiercely at him.
Hale immediately corrected himself, “Okay okay okay, I’ll call her Nancy, alright? It’s so obvious that Nancy has taken a liking to you. You could tell it from her eyes. If she doesn’t agree to be your girlfriend, I’ll take up your last name.”
Zack started to believe him, after all, Hale is an expert when it comes to relationships. What he just said seemed to make sense.
Zack let out a cold sigh, “Take up my last name? How does that affect you? So, what should I do now?”
On seeing that the situation has calmed down, Hale took a seat, crossed his legs, took out his cell phone and called the HR department. “Hey, inform the entire Finance department to go to the conference room for a meeting. All except that newcomer Nancy, must attend the meeting. The rest are to gather at the conference room right now!”
After ending the call, Hale explained confidently to Zack, “When a woman throws a tantrum, she doesn’t like to be questioned. Let her vent her frustrations alone. She’ll be fine once the day is over. Her best friend has already gone to comfort her.”
Zack looked at him suspiciously, this seems fishy but then again, it feels like the right approach.
The HR department was quick to relay Hale’s instructions. Slumped on the table, Nancy saw her co-workers walk out each with a note pad in hand. With eyes swollen with tears, she asked, “Supervisor, where are you all going?”
Supervisor Tailor was equally surprised by the sudden meeting. “General Manager wants an urgent meeting. We need to go to the conference room now.”
Nancy picked up her note pad and was about to leave. But Supervisor Tailor stopped her. “You don’t have to go. The GM instructed, all except you. So, stay here.”
Nancy looked at them leave one by one, puzzled, she thought, “Why everyone but me? Don’t tell me that Zack felt that because I lied to him in the game, he is casting me aside and doesn’t allow me to participate in the Finance meeting?”
A moment ago, she was filled with grief and felt wronged by them. Now it appears that not only did she lose her hunk and the relationship, but she may have lost her job as well!
With an important task at hand, Mandy slipped into the Finance department. On seeing Nancy’s swollen red nose and eyes, “My dear Nancy, what happened? Don’t cry.”
Hearing Mandy’s voice, tears started to flow again. She fell into Mandy’s embrace and cried bitterly.
“Oh oh oh… Mandy, what does Zack think of me now? Have I lost this job?”
Mandy held her tightly and assured her softly, “Okay now, okay. Just stop crying first. You can’t resolve anything by crying. I’m so heartbroken.”
Nancy lifted her head and said while sobbing, “I, I, they went for a meeting and said that I don’t have to attend. Then, just now… just now the way Hale called me babe, that’s the way Zack did. He must have thought that I lied to him and didn’t tell him my true identity. That’s why he fired me.”
Mandy was puzzled, what she just said was too complicated. “But, wasn’t he who added you? He told you that he was Zack after you accepted, who lied to whom?”
