Zack quickly entered an empty conference room, promptly logged on, joined the game and clicked on the chat window.
A pile of cow dung, “Babe, you’re online.”
Nancy choked on her drink again. Surprised to see the message hardly a minute after logging in.
The hunk who had just interviewed her is now gaming? Doesn’t he have to interview anyone else?
She started to craft a reply, hesitated, deleted the sentence and went with two words, and clicked send.
A fresh flower, “Um, yes.”
Zack noticed the long pause before her reply and recalled her puzzled looks a moment ago, laughed mischievously.
A pile of cow dung, “Shall we play a game?”
Nancy couldn’t help but bit her lower lip and wondered, is this hunk addicted to gaming? She logged on with simply the intention to collect her gold credits and equipment. Even though she didn’t intend to play, she couldn’t resist the temptation.
A fresh flower, “Okay, rest assured that last night’s screw up won’t happen again!”
Zack smirked. Last night he actually noticed a team of players ahead of them as they parachuted in, but gaming wasn’t his primary objective…
A pile of cow dung, “Okay, babe, I trust you.”
As Nancy saw these words, she felt herself covered with goosebumps, he called her babe was so corny.
She rubbed her hands and quickly started the game. Sure enough, Zack’s dreamy voice once again filled her ears.
Zack, “Flower 1, where do we land this time?”
Nancy, with three black stripes above her head, “Let’s land onto the military base.”
Zack complied, “Okay, babe.”
Nancy couldn’t resist it anymore, “Yo gamer, are you trying to be cute? Your last name isn’t cow, why did you choose this nickname?”
Zack mischievously continued, “Gamer’s nicknames are all created in jest. Are you saying that you’re as beautiful as a flower?”
“But of…” Nancy, noticing that he is flirting with her, was unsure of how to reply.
Zack continued, “of course? Are you…” Nancy’s heart raced.
“Hey, looks doesn’t matter, suffice to say that I’m an expert at this game.” Spoken like a true Nancy Xavier.
“Okay, expert babe, but this time, let’s stay away from the sea.” Zack teased with a slight smile.
Nancy blushed in embarrassment. Will her hunk remember this for life?
“Hey bull crap, don’t be so mean. That was an accident! Don’t you mention it again!” Nancy said sternly.
This time, there was no mistake, they landed safely right at the military base.
Nancy waited for Zack to run towards her and looked carefully at their surroundings. “You go to the nearest building and I’ll go to the one adjacent, it will take less time to gear up.”
Zack glanced at the distance between the two buildings, “Aren’t they a little too far apart… ?”
Before he could finish, Nancy was already sprinting towards the big factory. Zack could only reply meekly, “Alright.”
The military base was also Zack’s first choice to parachute into. He was actually familiar with it. There are many excellent supplies in this area. Sniper rifles and eight-times magnification scopes are easy to pick up.
Zack entered the building and searched around. The building had nothing but a helmet. Suddenly a burst of gunshots rang out from behind him, and his health immediately dropped by a third.
Nancy frowned as she heard the gunshots, “Are you hit?”
Zack crouching behind the window, “Yes, I haven’t found a rifle. Don’t come over.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he saw the No. 1 icon moving rapidly towards him. Several gunshots crackled, and Zack vaguely saw the sniper at the opposite roof fall to the ground.
Suddenly, Nancy jumped in from the window, walked to Zack, threw down an automatic rifle, several bullets and a first aid kit. Filled with rage, she said, “Try to hurt my man? Are you tired of living?”
