Nancy stood outside the door and felt that she might be having a delusion. How could Zack be the interviewer? She must have been mistaken! When she turned around and tried to verify again, the door opened. She stood stunned at the door, looking from the bottom upwards, she saw a handsome face with chiseled looks and two deep dimples…
Nancy was mesmerized and paralyzed in his presence…
“Please come in.” Smiling politely, Zack gestured her to enter.
Nancy’s brain was a blank, blood rushed towards her head, she was giddy and blushed in red.
She sat nervously, and Zack sat across from her.
The man sitting next to him looked so familiar, but she could not recognize who he was…
“Hello, Ms Xavier, I am Hale Brown and would be conducting the interview, please give us a brief self-introduction.”

Nancy nodded.
“Ah, um… I am Nancy Xavier, and I major in accounting…” Nancy said what ever that came to her mind. She didn’t go with the script that she had prepared for the interview. In fact, she didn’t know what nonsense she had just said. She watched nervously as the two attractive men whisper to each other. Stop whispering, she thought to herself, just be upfront about your thoughts!
A moment later, the two turned towards her, smiled perfectly and said, “Ms Xavier, we discussed and felt that you meet our employment requirements. When would it be convenient for you to start work?”
Nancy suddenly felt her jaw dropped to the ground.
“I’m available any time…” Nancy immediately replied.
“Then come next Monday.” Said Zack who was sitting next to Hale and had been smiling intently and quietly all this while.
Nancy thought, it’s Wednesday today, why start next Monday? Are they leaving options for themselves?
Zack noticed her puzzled look and smiled wider, but didn’t provide an explanation.
After Nancy exited the room, Hale looked at Zack, smiled and laughed loudly.
“Bruh, this is the girl you fancy?”
Zack was explicitly, “Don’t you think that she is just adorable?”
Hale smirked, and his eyes lowered and said, “You are still young and haven’t seen the world. Women need to have character.”
Zack sneered disapprovingly, stood up and looked at him, “Regardless, you have to take care of her for me, otherwise I’ll expose your secrets to mom, then you’d better be ready for an arranged marriage. Hey, I’ve heard that the daughter of that family… has plenty of interesting character!”
Hale’s mouth twitched, wagging his finger at Zack, “You’ve yet to marry a wife and you have already abandoned your brother who loved you since when you were a kid. I’m really disappointed with you.”
“Mr. Brown, if you don’t take care of my girl, I will disappoint you even more!”
Zack turned and left, leaving Hale writhing in anger.
