Chapter 24 You Shower First

Book:Heard That You Love Me Published:2024-5-1

In Yates’ car, in terms of a depressive atmosphere, Shirley bites her lips and dares not to say a word.
A whole contradictory drama has been staged in her heart.
What should she do? He’s about to bring her home. What if his family is waiting for her?
How to address Yates’ mother? What if his mother doesn’t like her?
The complex expression on Shirley’s face, Yates can feel them all without looking at her directly.
“Don’t worry. I won’t do anything to you.” Then he turns on the music in an attempt to relieve her.
She is so chicken-livered as he expects, so timid!
Fifteen minutes later, the car stops.
Yates opens the door to let her get off.
Shirley does not know what to do standing on the other side like a lost deer waiting for others to rescue and lead her the right way when gets off the car.
Yates is amused by her dull and cute expression. Carrying those bags Shirley buys, Yates takes her into the elevator and goes home when finishing locking the car.
When in his apartment, Shirley just tumbles to it.
The so-called “home” is his own apartment but not his home living with his parents.
It is a small apartment which has two bedrooms. It is very suitable for a single person or couple to live in. Small but very warm, and all furniture and facilities are equipped.
Just putting all things down, Yates says, “You are full of vomitus. Taking a shower may feel better.”
She just feels better and now becomes anxious again. He wants her to bath?
But… she is really nervous.
What should she do? She really needs to remove the dirty stuff but it’s awkward to shower in his apartment.
Shirley says with blush, “Why not you wash first?”
Yates comes over to her suddenly, Shirley steps back a few paces.
Seeing he isn’t intended to stop, she recoils a few steps until there is no space to move and her back is against the wall.
His strong arms hold her tightly.
Yates says in a low voice, “I don’t mind showering together.”
Then Shirley is so scared to flee, rushing into the toilet.
Leaning against the door, she clutches her chest and pants.
OMG! Despite her coward action before, in fact, she wishes Yates to do more.
She’s been showering for half an hour total. If not Yates comes over knocks the door because of concerns about her safety, she can wash longer!
After finishing washing, she finds that there are no new and dry clothes for her.
Opening the door slightly, Shirley builds the courage to say, “Yates, could you help me bring the clothes in the bag to me?”
“Wait a minute,” says Yates.
Waiting a few minutes, he hands the bag to her.
She closes the door quickly as if her heart is about to stop beating.
Shirley looks down and sees that they’re a big male T-shirt and a set of underwear.
Underwear is picked by Karen, and the big T-shirt should be Yates’ own clothes!
She can’t think too much and wears them all quickly.
His large T-shirt just covers her top thigh, which highlights her long and straight legs.
Shirley has butterflies in her stomach, opening the door and coming outside.
Yates sits on the sofa while drinking tea. He puts down the cup and looks at her, nodding with content, “Great, tonight you sleep in the next room. Tomorrow I send you school.”
Shirley is staring carefully at Yates’ eyes, trying to find something different in his eyes which used to only show calmness and coolness.
Unfortunately, Yates seems to be so celibate, that’s to say, there is nothing strange in his eyes.
Shirley is back to her room both happily and sadly.
She is happy that Yates is a good and honest gentleman.
She feels sad because she has no charm!
