James came to the living room and called Kara gently.
But no one responded to him in the silent darkness.
“Who is it? What do you want to do?” he asked coldly with his eyes full of seriousness.
“James…”
Kara originally wanted to go downstairs to take the medicine box, but suddenly the electricity was off. She was frightened and exclaimed.
Under the moonlight, she felt something wrong here and wanted to call James, but a man covered her mouth.
She struggled to give James a hint, but her mouth was covered again. She could only watch a man approach James.
Her voice was very soft, but James still heard it and knew her position.
Since he could not see in the dark, he just closed his eyes and heard the footsteps.
The footsteps were very light, showing that the trespasser had been well trained before.
The first thing James thought of was that Kason had sent someone to take Kara. Thinking of it, his heart sank.

The trespasser replied with a real voice, revealing that it was a woman.
She clapped her hands and made two hints, and the lights in the living room turned on again.
Hiding behind the sofa, James finally saw the woman’s face clearly. He was not surprised that it was Madelyn.
James sneered inside and was shocked by how scheming Madelyn could be.
He asked Nolan to send people to follow her. She actually played around with the people Nolan sent out. In the end, in order to let down his guard, she ran to the nightclub to play during this period of time. Unexpectedly, she did use this to hide herself.
Looking for Kara, he saw the stairs. Kara was covered by a man, with her hands tied behind her back. He frowned tightly.
A disturbing noise sounded in the big living room.
Madelyn threw a pair of handcuffs in front of him and let James cuff himself.
James stood up straight and glanced coldly at the handcuffs. The arrogance and esteem on him remained the same.
Madelyn was not angry. She knew where James really feared.
She walked in front of Kara, pinched Kara’s face, and took out a dagger.

James gritted his teeth, picked up the handcuffs, and cuffed himself.

Madelyn did not find any evidence, but the person who could hurt his brother was most likely to be James.
James’s subordinates had always been cautious. It was not surprising that she could not find any clues.
Madelyn turned to Kara to vent her frustrations.
Madelyn saw the mockery on his face and slapped Kara again.
This slap was even harder than the previous one. Half of Kara’s face immediately swelled up. Her eyes turned almost blind in coma and she could no longer stand.
However, she’d rather be beaten than see James tortured by Madelyn. Kara forced a smile towards James.
James looked at her red and swollen face. He clenched his fists tightly. Blue veins popped up on the back of his hand and his knuckles turned white.
In the end, he had no choice but to force a faint smile at Madelyn.
Madelyn was satisfied and patted him on the cheek with contempt.
“Bring the medicine!”
Madelyn ordered her subordinates.
One of the subordinates handed her a vial of medicine and injected it into James’ artery.
James didn’t feel anything at first, but when she pulled out the medicine, he felt his limbs start to go numb. He narrowed his cold eyes with seriousness and malice.
“James, this is the medicine you injected into my body last time. I return it to you now. I will take your woman away.”
Madelyn proudly raised her chin and looked at the man’s handsome face, feeling pity in her heart.
What an excellent man James was! Since she could not get him, she would destroy him.
“No!”
Kara shook her head. Tears kept rolling down her face like pearls falling to the ground, but she was forcibly dragged away by those trespassers.
James watched as Kara was taken away by them. He got up and wanted to chase after them, but the pain in his body made him scream all over.
