Hazel went downstairs to the kitchen. She wanted to cook for Corey.
But the kitchen was empty. Hazel frowned as she decided to go shopping online.
An hour later, the groceries were delivered. Hazel stocked up the kitchen and made two bowls of noodles.
Corey was unhappy about the noise downstairs. He went downstairs and saw Hazel in the kitchen.
“Corey, I made this for you.”
Hazel held a bowl of noodles with expectation.
Corey stared at the noodles and frowned. “Hazel, it’s very rude to touch my things without permission. Don’t you understand?”
Corey was agitated. He grabbed the bowl and threw it into the trash can. Looking around, Corey’s face darkened.
“Move them out, immediately!”
Hazel pursed her rosy lips and stared at Corey in shock. She didn’t expect such a reaction.
“No. From now on, I will cook for you.”
Corey clenched his fists in anger. If Hazel wasn’t Kara’s classmate, he would beat her right now!
“Go out!”
Corey threw all the kitchenware she bought out of the window.
Hazel didn’t get angry. She just stared at him calmly.
“No, I will stay here.”
Corey was speechless.
He walked to Hazel and touched her face with a sneer.
“I only have one bed. If you want to stay here, you have to sleep with me.”
Hazel blushed, but she still looked up at him stubbornly.
“I … I’m willing to do that with you.”
She said she was willing to sleep with Corey.
But Corey wasn’t!
“Do you really want to sleep with me?”
Corey looked into Hazel’s eyes. Her eyes were charming and seductive.
Hazel kept staring at Corey. Corey did not know what was going on, but he felt hot.
Corey was a thirty-five-year-old man. He understood the needs of a grown man.
However, Corey had never felt this way before because of his injuries. He guessed he was just too angry.
To scare Hazel away, Corey pinched her slender neck and his hands slowly went down.
Hazel’s cheeks turned red. Her fair oval face looked childish. Hazel bit her lower lip tightly out of nervousness.
Her rosy lips had turned scarlet.
Corey rubbed her cheeks as he stared at Hazel’s face, hoping that she could push him away.
However, Hazel stared at Corey with a hint of innocence in her eyes.
Corey was annoyed. Was Hazel a fool?
Corey was not the one Hazel was looking for, and she was still willing to sleep with him.
Corey felt bored and pushed Hazel away.
“You’re not leaving? Alright, I’m leaving!”
“Please don’t go.”
Hazel hugged Corey from behind with a broken voice.
Hazel’s soft cheeks pressed against Corey’s back. She was trying to untie his shirt.
“Hazel!”
This was the first time Corey called Hazel’s name. He was furious.
Hazel stared at him blankly with tears, but she forced a smile.
“Yes?”
Corey was speechless.
Corey found Hazel hard to communicate with. He had a headache.
Corey could tell that Hazel was deliberately pestering him.
“Let go of your dirty hands. You make me feel sick!”
Hazel turned pale. Her fingers trembled as she released Corey. Hazel took a step back and maintained a distance from Corey.
But Corey didn’t feel good. He frowned and had a strange feeling.
“Sorry, I … I’m sorry,” Hazel said with her head lowered.
“Get out!” Corey shouted angrily.
However, Hazel didn’t move. Tears ran down her cheek silently.
In the empty living room, Hazel’s sobs were annoying. Corey gritted his teeth.
Women were troublesome!
Corey left the villa.
He booked a hotel room. Before Corey checked in, he had the hotel staff clean the room three times.
Corey was obsessed with cleanliness. Sometimes his assistant found him very strange.
Corey took a shower and lay on the bed. He looked at the drizzling rain outside and felt disturbed.
Was Hazel still in the villa?
But what did it have to do with him?
Corey turned over and told himself not to think about Hazel. But when he closed his eyes, Hazel was crying silently in his mind.
Damn it!
Corey had not been so angry for a long time. He got up and took a few sleeping pills. He lay on the bed again, but he could not fall asleep.
For a long time, Corey could only sleep after taking sleeping pills. Now he had antibodies against them. No matter how many pills he took, they would not work.
Suddenly, Corey’s phone vibrated. He frowned and checked it.
Who would call him this late at night?
“Mr. Corey, Mr. James entered the archives room of the Abbot family. He triggered the mechanism and they are hunting him.”
From the moment James arrived in Country R, Corey had his men keep an eye on James.
“Protect James. Be careful not to expose yourselves.”
“Yes.”
Corey couldn’t fall asleep. Kason seemed to be a small trader, but he had a powerful group backing him and a strong army protecting him.
It was very dangerous for James to enter the Abbot family alone.
James was Vivian’s child and Kara’s husband, so he had to be safe.
Corey got up and turned on the computer. He imagined all kinds of situations and anxiously waited for his men to report. Corey could only be at ease when he knew that James was safe.
The phone vibrated and Corey quickly picked it up.
“What?”
“Corey, Hazel hasn’t returned to school yet. She didn’t answer the call. What did you do?”
Kara asked carefully.
Thinking of Hazel’s silly action, Corey gritted his teeth in anger.
Corey said in a cold voice, “What can I do to her?”
Kara was scared by Corey’s tone.
Kara pleaded, “Corey, Hazel is a good girl. Although she stammers over the words, she treats me well. Please don’t hurt Hazel even if she mistakes you for someone else, okay?”
Listening to Kara’s words, Corey felt even more irritated.
“She is a fool. I won’t bother to hurt her. Where she goes has nothing to do with me!”
Corey hung up the phone. As he thought of Kara’s crying face, he got changed and left the hotel.
Corey drove back to the villa. The lights were still on. He narrowed his eyes and stared at the window.
For the first time, he saw his home lit up with lights, and he had a very strange feeling.
