Chapter 370 Dear Waiter

Book:Uncle's Love: My Sweet Little Wife Published:2024-5-29

When it came to age, James cared about it more than Kara.
After all, James was twenty-nine, while Kara was only eighteen.
James had experienced many ups and downs of life as well as prosperity and loneliness.
Meanwhile, Kara was still in the stage of exploring the world. She was curious about many things and did not have much experience.
Kara sensed the change in James’ expression and felt worried.
“Come on! You are not old. You are the most handsome in my heart.”
Kara was already an adult. If she had not met James, generally she might not stay with someone older than her.
But the reality was that Kara met James and fell in love with him gradually.
James took care of Kara, guided her, thought for her, and stayed with her all the time.
But Kara was often worried that James would despise her for being immature and knowing nothing.
Kara was so sweet to say those words.
James felt comfortable, but he still cared about it.
Kara had no similar experience and did not know what love was.
Occasionally, James would worry that Kara met someone else. Then Kara would find out that she was just grateful for James and then left him.
Perhaps, everyone would be terrified in a relationship.
No matter how wise James was, he was just an ordinary man in a romantic relationship.
James kept staring at Kara, and she felt a little guilty.
“James, don’t be angry with me. Please.”
“What?”
“In the afternoon, you left without a word. I know you are angry with what I said. I have thought about it. If you don’t get rid of your problems, you will feel uncomfortable.”
James stared at Kara. After a while, he lowered his head and kissed her. James didn’t want to talk about it anymore.
In the afternoon, James was not angry with Kara. He was just in a bad mood. He went to see Salay and asked her about something. Salay was excited and got hurt.
James’ mother Vivian fell ill because of the operation that year. She was afraid of the cold all year round and would take medicine when she was uncomfortable.
Salay was Vivian’s friend and kept her company to the hospital. But Salay replaced the medicine with what Jordon gave her.
Vivian ate those pills and got emotionally unstable. Sometimes, she would overreact. When she became sober, she would feel guilty and want to commit suicide.
That situation repeated and Vivian’s condition worsened. Due to that medicine, Vivian finally killed herself.
When Salay saw Vivian commit suicide, she could have saved Vivian, but Salay ran away in panic.
After that, because of guilt, Salay often had nightmares and even wanted to confess her crime.
Jordon was involved in this matter as well. He couldn’t tell the truth. That was why he locked Salay up in the attic.
Therefore, James wanted Salay to experience how much pain his mother had endured. That was both depressing and thrilling.
James wanted Salay to wish she was never born.

There were still a few days before school started. Kara was a bit nervous and reluctant.
Hence, Kara wanted to stay longer with James during this period.
Early in the morning, they went to exercise together and then got changed.
When Kara saw James wearing a tie, she ran to him immediately and helped him seriously.
James did not refuse. Kara stood on tiptoe. James bent slightly and looked at her.
“You’re so good?”
Kara would usually stay in bed, but now she was so hardworking. Kara exercised with James and even helped him wear a tie.
“Yes.” she showed a bright smile.
“My boyfriend is so outstanding. If I didn’t work hard, I would regret it when other women got you.”
James sneered. “What a lame excuse!”
James ruffled her hair and got up to look at the tie. It was much better than before.
However, James was picky and Kara needed more practice compared to his technique.
Kara looked up slightly. She saw that James was staring at the tie with disdain. Kara knew that he was not satisfied and felt ashamed.
“James, I will definitely practice. I will make it better for you next time.”
Kara clenched her fists and made the promise very seriously.
“Yes.”
James didn’t want to tamp down Kara’s enthusiasm.
The two of them had breakfast together and James took Kara to the company.
Given that Kara was going to school and James would work day and night in the future, they would have less time to stay together.
Therefore, James wanted to stay with her before school started.
James had the morning meeting, while Kara drew the picture. She pictured James as a waiter and seemed satisfied.
Kara outlined James’ facial features on the white paper, his eyebrows, his tall nose, and his good-looking lips.
James’ eyes were especially charming with long eyelashes and brown pupils.
After finishing her work, Kara took a photo and posted it on WeChat.
Kara added a sentence saying “Dear waiter, I want a glass of lemonade”.
James was in the middle of a meeting and stared at the projector when he suddenly heard the beeping sound of the phone.
James glanced at it doubtfully. It turned out that someone sent a message to him on WeChat.
Last time James went to the mountain to play and friended those people on WeChat. Then they made a chat group.
At this time, there were dozens of messages in the chat group, and James opened it to check.
It was a sketch of James.
James narrowed his eyes and looked at the sketch carefully. At a glance, he knew that it was Kara’s work.
Then everyone wrote the same sentence.
That was “Dear waiter, I want a glass of lemonade”.
James raised his eyebrows slightly and crooked his finger at Nolan.
“Go prepare a glass of lemonade and send it to my office. Buy a cup of coffee for each one in the chat group.”
“OK…”
Nolan put on a smile.
Nolan wondered, ‘Mr. James, it’s not like you. I didn’t expect you to buy us coffee. You’re so nice.’
In the president’s office, Kara was about to draw the second sketch when she suddenly heard a knock on the door.
Kara looked at the time and was puzzled.
James said that his meeting would end at least after an hour. Did he return in just half an hour?
Kara got up and went to open the door. The person from the secretarial department stood outside.
“Good morning, Mrs. Hemming. A guest claimed herself Mr. James’ cousin and wanted to see him.”
Kara frowned. Was it Madelyn?
“Does she have an appointment?”
The secretary was surprised and replied respectfully.
“No.”
Kara looked calm, closed the office door, and walked outside.
“How long have you been in the secretary department?”
The secretary frowned slightly, not knowing why Kara would ask that question.
“Three years.”
Kara looked a little gloomy. “Your president is busy. Any accidents will disrupt his working pace.
“If the guest doesn’t make an appointment, you should report first. Then you need to ask Mr. Nolan after Mr. James finishes the meeting, right?”
The secretary did not expect that Kara looked kind but argued back seriously.
The secretary was displeased but could only hold back the anger and say nothing.
“You know how to handle it, but you still knocked on the door. Do you have a lot of free time to do something meaningless like that?”
The secretary kept silent.
