Linda wanted to see the president of the Quain Group, but she didn’t sleep well all night. She came to the Quain Group in the early morning.
Linda didn’t care if the security captain was working or not. She took the phone number out and called him, which made the security captain depressed.
When he received the call, the captain looked at the time. It was not even seven.
The office hour of the Quain Group was usually at half past eight. Linda called him at that time. Even if he let her into the office, the chairman was not there yet.
Linda did not care. He had promised to take her to see the chairman yesterday. The first thing she wanted Jagger to do today was to give her the money.
The Quain Group was her eldest son’s company. Why should she let Jagger have it all?
Linda’s eldest son had died. And now that she had no one to provide for her, Linda thought that their president should give her the money for retirement.
The captain had not woken up yet. He came up with an excuse to hang up the phone, but Linda did not care if he was awake or not. If the captain didn’t come over quickly, she would keep calling him.
The captain felt helpless. All he could do was to get up and hurry to the Quain Group.
The head of security opened the door for her and took her into the building. All the offices were locked.
Linda asked, “Why haven’t they opened the door yet?”
The security captain was speechless
The captain was so sleepy that he yawned. It was only half past seven. Who would come to open the door?
Linda murmured, “No wonder the Quain Group is getting worse every day. It is spending money on you bunch of good-for-nothings!
“When my Adam was in charge of the company, he was busy day and night.
“You vicious people want to dismiss him and kick him out of the Quain Group. This Quain Group was originally founded by my eldest son. On what ground can you bully my second son? A group of ungrateful rats…”
The captain didn’t say anything.
The captain listened to Linda’s nagging and noticed that she did not repeat any words. The captain forced an awkward smile.
Originally, he wanted to refute her. It was true that the Quain Group was founded by David, but it was the hard work of several shareholders that got it this far.
Ever since Adam became the Acting Chairman, the Quain Group had been getting worse and worse. Every day, someone would resign, and the Quain Group was about to die.
If it wasn’t for the change of shareholders and the news that there was support from a large company, the Quain Group wouldn’t have come back to life.
Therefore, kicking Adam out of the Quain Group was the right choice.
But thinking about how unreasonable Linda was, the captain knew that if he were to argue with Lina, she would definitely say something even more unpleasant. Therefore, the captain did not waste his breath.
The captain was so sleepy that he ran to the security room to get some rest. Linda was afraid that he would run away, so she followed him into the security room.
Seeing that there were some snacks on the table in the security room, Linda didn’t hesitate and helped herself to eat them.
The captain frowned and thought that Linda was really not polite. The captain had wanted to keep those for breakfast. He did not expect Linda to have them so quickly.
Linda had a piece of bread and a box of noodles. She was satisfied. She had come too early today and had not eaten breakfast.
At half past eight, it was time for work and the employees came to punch in.
The captain got up and wanted to inspect the area before arranging the work. That was his job, but Linda stopped him.
Linda said, “You can’t leave. You have to take me to your president.”
The captain had his mother as well. He was very respectful to old people.
However, when he was confronted with such an unreasonable old lady, he had to take a deep breath again and explained that he was going to work.
He explained that when he was done with his work, he would immediately take her to the chairman.
However, Linda was worried that he would trick her and did not care about his work, so she pulled him back and refused to let go.
The captain got angry. He looked grim. He took her to President Kara’s office with a serious expression.
However, the president’s office was still locked.
“Madam Quain, the president has not come to work yet. If you are willing to wait here, you can stay here.”
Before Linda could say anything, the captain asked a security guard to look after her and then went back to work.
The guard also knew that Linda was difficult to deal with. He stood next to Linda. No matter what Linda said to him, he would not answer, making Linda extremely angry.
Jagger and Kaya returned to the company at eleven o’clock. Jagger was not surprised to see Linda standing guard at the door.
Jagger stared at Linda in surprise and spoke to her calmly.
Jagger said, “Hey, Madam Quain, what are you doing here? I just had a meeting outside. I didn’t expect you to wait for me here.”
Linda squatted and waited there for a few hours. She was already mad.
Linda shouted, “I asked your security captain to call you. Why didn’t you tell me that you would come back so late? I have been waiting for you all morning.”
When the general manager, Kaya, heard that Linda was being so rude, Kaya frowned unhappily and wanted to go up to fight back, but she was stopped by Jagger.
Jagger said, “Madam Quain, why are you looking for me? Is there something important?”
“I…”
The Quain Group had a customer service department. Normally, people should go to the customer service department if there was something.
However, Linda was an old lady who knew nothing. She must have something important to tell the president.
But Linda couldn’t think much. She didn’t have the money to support her grandson right now. They took over the Quain Group and didn’t give her a single cent. Wasn’t that an important matter?
Linda said arrogantly, “Let’s talk in your office!”
Kaya was so angry and almost lost her temper, but she saw Jagger shake his head at her.
Kaya couldn’t do anything but open the door for Linda and enter the president’s office.
Jagger sat on the sofa looking at Linda, waiting for her to speak.
“I heard that it was Kara, that unfilial daughter, who gave you the authority to manage the Quain Group. Now you’ve taken over the Quain Group. And, as Kara’s grandmother, I didn’t get a single cent.”
Linda looked arrogant and reasonable.
Kaya was so angry that she laughed. Mr. David had been so reasonable. Kaya did not expect his mother to be so unreasonable.
Jagger played dumb.
Jagger asked calmly, “Madam Quain, why would you come to me if you didn’t get the money?”
“If course I’m here to get the money. The shares of the Quain Group are still in the hands of the Quain family. Kara is unfilial. If she doesn’t give me the money, then you have to give me the money. I don’t want much, just a hundred thousand!”
Was a hundred thousand a lot?
According to the average salary of the Quain Group, each employee had six thousand a month. And a hundred thousand was the income of an employee for more than a year.
Jagger said, “A hundred thousand is too much. Besides, there is no reason to give you money.
Madam Quain, how about this? You go to Miss Kara and ask her for a note for a loan. With her note, you can take a hundred thousand from me. We will take it off her salary when we pay her.
Linda frowned. Kara had James by her side. Linda was even afraid to go to Kara now, let alone asking Kara for a loan.
Linda said, “No. You’re responsible. I don’t care. If you don’t give me the money, I won’t leave.”
Linda hadn’t had much education and did not understand much, but her ability to cause trouble was outstanding.
Jagger said, “Madam Quain, if you don’t leave, I can only call the police.”
“You…” Linda still wanted to retort, but Jagger did not give her a chance to speak.
Jagger said, “Don’t say that the police can’t do anything to you. You’ve been to my office. Just a random document missing from my office is enough for you to be in prison for a few years.”
Linda was shocked. She stood up angrily and stared at him with her cloudy eyes.
She thought, ‘This man wants to hurt me!’
Jagger continued, “If you don’t want to go to prison, I have a way to get you the money.”
Hearing that he would pay, Linda was surprised and happy, but she was still vigilant.
