James and Kara sent Zoey out of the ward. James narrowed his eyes and stared at Zoey’s back as she disappeared. A mocking smile showed up on his face.
James turned around to hold Kara’s little hand. At the thought that Kara had been in the ward for a few days, James wanted to take her to the garden for a walk.
“James, when Madam Hemming was young, was she a strong woman?”
