And with that, we followed suit to the couple.
We arrived after a while at our destination. I furrowed my eyebrows as I saw that the couple was still out of sight. I thought we were going to follow them?
“An amusement park?” I asked Eion, “How did you know..”
“I heard from Leroy last night.” He replied, doing something with his phone.
“So you’re not only a stalker but an eavesdropper,” I commented to which he just gave me a deadpan stare.
We spotted Emma and Dax now arriving with Dax’s car by the entrance and we stayed from afar. Eion got us two tickets and we now entered.
The couple chose to ride childish and slow rides at first but after a while, they were on roller coasters and took a rest and got on the stalls that gave stuffed toys as prizes.
They rode more rides after that and left again to eat dinner since it was getting dark now. Just a typical date. I mean, in my eyes, nothing was wrong. They were just enjoying each other’s company. It’s just Eion here who’s so worked up.
“Look Eion, I think we should mind our own business. I don’t think this is a good idea especially now that we know both of them are actually seriously just dating. Nothing bad happened, we even saw it in our own eyes that they were just simply enjoying it.”
His eyebrows raised at me, “Aren’t you against them?”
I shrugged at that, “Yeah at first but…”
“Then that is enough, let’s go, we’re gonna lose them now.” He started again, still not giving up.
“Aren’t you guilty? What if something happened like that with you? Like someone would follow you on your dates? How would you feel?”
He sighed. “Fine.” Standing up, he looked at me, “I’ll drop you at home.”
I smiled, happy to get home.
We were in his car and saw Emma and Dax finally leaving also and drove off. It was not the way to Emma’s house… that made me curious, “On second thought… let’s follow them.”
Eion looked at me like I was the one crazy, “And now you’re telling me that?”
I glanced at him, “I’m just curious, let’s see if they’re going home safe.”
Eion nodded and started the engine, following them.
After a while, they stopped at the place that I least expected. “A club?”
Eion gulped, stunned too but recovered himself. “Leroy didn’t talk about them going to a club..”
“Well, now that we’re here, let’s see what will happen. Looks like your friend has plans for tonight.” I smirked. I swear, if Dax does anything bad happen to Emma, Eion knows what will happen to Dax’s balls by the end.
We entered the club and saw Dax giving Emma a drink, and Emma accepting it. They danced the whole night. I went to the counter where the drinks were and Eion followed me. We just watched them from afar.
“Don’t act all awkward, they’ll see us.” I whispered to Eion.
“Uhm… it’s dark in here, how will they see?”
“Whatever, since it’s come down to this, it would be unfair if they are the only ones who are enjoying it,” I said, wanting to join in too. “You can go and dance, I’ll be right here.”
He almost couldn’t believe what I was saying, “Do I look like I dance?”
I chuckled at that. “Right. My bad.”
We just chilled like that, while glancing at Emma and Dax here and then to not be noticed when a beautiful woman appeared in front of us, looking at Eion seductively. She batted her eyelashes at Eion. “Hi… you suit my taste…” She gave Eion a wink. Eion glanced at me and I shrugged. It looks like he feels used to this and just wanted to avoid the girl but I urged him, “Go.”
Plus, isn’t this a chance to look for her own girlfriend? For all we know, she may be the one. She may be flirty, but I think she’s beautiful…
Eion looked at the woman from head to toe and snorted. “Too bad you don’t suit my taste.” He said with his emotionless face, just like how I first met him and he continued, “Now leave.”
The girl gasped, taken aback at what Eion said. She was silent for a minute, before rolling her eyes at me, and left us. Oh.. did she think that I was Eion’s girlfriend or something? Why would she even roll her eyes at me? Oh please.
“Wow, what was that?” I looked at Eion, “Why did you refuse her? She’s beautiful… you could have been at least nice.”
“I don’t like women that throw themselves at me.” He simply said.
“Wow. So picky, if I were you, I would have got myself a beautiful girl…” I said, then realized something. I smirked at him. “Don’t tell me you’re gay? I mean not that I’m judging you but I accept you-”
He looked at me like I was insane again, “How did you come up with that?” I laughed at him. He looks so cute now that he’s annoyed… Wait cute?
My thoughts were interrupted as the bartender greeted me, “Hello miss.” He handed a glass with a drink on it and pointed to a guy a meter away from us. “He gave you this drink.” The guy smiled at me, waving.
I froze, not knowing what to do. I admit he’s handsome… and he looks like he’s around my age.
I smiled shyly, but then I realized I’m a strong independent woman and I don’t need a man in my life for now.
“He’s handsome.. if only he could wait for me years from now…” I mumbled.
“What was that?” He asked, looking at me incredulously, hearing what I said. Oops.
He glared at the guy and back at the drink in my hands, “I’ll drink that.” Eion said, grabbing the glass from me but I stopped him.
“No, I don’t need your help.” With that, I swallowed the whole drink in the glass and coughed. Whatever it was, it was too strong. It burned my throat and settled in my stomach.
“Why did you drink that? And you drank it whole! What would you do if he put something on it, ” Eion said, clearly angry. My head spins for a moment and I chuckled at him, “I’m okay. Don’t worry.” I said.
He shook his head and cursed as he saw something from afar. “They’re going somewhere, let’s go.”
I tried to walk but failed.
“Are you okay?” Asked Eion. I nodded and we followed the couple, but my vision was blurry with the neon lights and people crashing.
