Our Treat

He was still breathing heavily. Looking at him up close, I watched his chest rise up and down before pushing him away from me. I sent him a glare, standing up and dusting off any dirt on my clothes.
He looked at me curiously, then looked around. “The movie ended?”
“Yes,” I answered, diverting my gaze to him. “I’ve been waking you up for a while now.”
“Oh.” He said in realization. He brushed his pants and stood up, “Let’s go then.”
“Why did you even grab me?” I said, referring to what he just did.
“Sorry, that was just a reflex.” He said. Well, I have to believe him for that I guess. Or I would think that he was just teasing me. Nevermind that, nodding at him, he started to walk towards the exit and I followed him. We finally left the cinema and got in the parking lot, as Dax told me where they would wait earlier.
“Awake now? Let’s go eat then,” said Leroy.
I threw him daggers with my eyes, “Uhm no, that’s it for the day, we need to go home.”
Dax blocked my path, pouting at me, “Oh come on, Snow. Where’s the fun in that?” I gagged at him. He thought he’s cute with that?
I looked at Hannah who was smiling at me sheepishly, hoping I would say yes. “Yes, Snow… let’s eat lunch. I know you’re hungry.”
Leroy came in and leaned on me before whispering the words, “It’s our treat,”
I gulped at the offer. What choice do I have? When something is free, I don’t just back off. “Fine.”
As we ordered food, I stared in distaste at Emma and Dax’s hands holding each other. We rode in Eion’s Mercedes-Benz black SUV as soon as we arrived at the restaurant.
“If you’re worried about Dax, he’s the gentleman. You should be more worried about Leroy.” Said Eion who was seated beside me, noticing my discomfort.
I took in what he said, “Really?” I asked, thinking he’s not serious.
He nodded and I glanced at Leroy whose hands were on Hannah’s. Now I clearly understand why he was a bit protective earlier when Leroy was making his moves on Hannah. Gosh, I can’t with them. Dax was just flirting with Emma and when the food arrived, I instantly dug in.
When I had enough. I turned to Eion and said, “Won’t you do something with those friends of yours? Their hands and flirting are all over the place.”
He shrugged, “Ask them.”
I yelled at him in frustration, “And why the hell are you so chill? That’s one of your cousins there, you know.”
“What? The food’s good.” He said, munching on a chicken. “I decided that I should just let it happen. I’ll just guard Hannah and if I see something inappropriate, I will stop Leroy.” He said, assuring me that nothing would happen. “Stop stressing out and just enjoy it. Besides, It’s Leroy’s treat.”
When the bill was out, Leroy approached Eion and said, “Aren’t you gonna pay, Eion?”
Eion looked at him in shock. “I am? I thought you-”
Leroy cut his sentence off before he could even finish his sentence and turned to Dax, “Of course you will, right Dax?” Dax just nodded in answer and Leroy smirked to Eion, like he just won something, “Don’t you remember what you did to us?”
Eion sighed, muttering the words, “I knew you would say that,” and he took out his wallet. “Do you accept cards?” He asked the waitress and the waitress nodded.
I kind of feel bad for Eion, but at the same time, chuckle at his reaction. He really thought Leroy’s gonna pay, but Leroy tricked him! Haha! Well, it was Leroy who even proposed that he will treat us to food, but he never said who will treat us. That was a smart move, Leroy.
When the waitress returned, she handed back Eion’s card and we all stood up and left the restaurant.
I sighed, finally relieved to leave the guys. Emma and Hannah said their goodbyes to the guys.
“Thanks for the food!” Hannah threw a kiss at Leroy.
“I enjoyed today!” Emma said to Dax.
When they were finished, they both looked at me as if waiting for something. “What?” I asked them.
“Won’t you say goodbye to Eion?” Emma asked, giving me her infamous teasing look.
“No,” I said. Glancing at Eion, I caught him staring at me. I made eye contact with him and he just nodded at me before hopping in the car.
“Are you sure you’re okay, girls? We can give you a ride home.” Dax offered.
“No thank you,” I rejected. “I can take care of my girls, you go ahead.”
Emma and Hannah wanted to agree to his offer, but I stopped and glaring at them. I smiled creepily at them before saying, “Now where were we?”
Both of them smiled nervously. Once I finished lecturing them about boys, they both apologized.
“We won’t do it again,” said Hannah.
“Yeah, we’ll just date alone-I mean, never date again.” Emma agreed.
I sighed, looking at the pitiful look on their faces. Guess they really enjoyed today. I suddenly regretted it. “Fine, you two can date, but don’t even include me next time. I can’t believe that even Eion participated in this.”
“Just admit it, you enjoyed today too,” Emma smirked.
I nodded, “Well, I kinda enjoyed the day but that’s not the point-” I stopped, realizing what I said as I saw the goofy grin on their faces. I chuckled nervously. “Haha, I mean, no I did not enjoy it.”
But it was too late to deny. They were already teasing me with their looks and I just gave up, “Yes, I admit. It was fun, alright. Happy now?” I admitted.
And with that, they both giggled at me.
