EPISODE TWENTY ONE
THEME: A certain lady
MOON STONE FORTRESS
AT THE MALL
Lorelei felt much warm and better as she sipped on the avocado smoothie she had ordered for. Coming to the mall alone was a really good idea. She has no interest in having any form of argument with anyone.
It was her day off from working at the infirmary and she needed as much rest as she could gather. To look as refreshing as she can the next day. The thought of Claire throwing diss around with no filter crossed her mind again.
Lorelei hissed angrily. Claire acted like a thirteen years old despite being eighteen and she gets overtly excited over unnecessary things. She wouldn’t blame her, an incredibly spoilt brat like Claire would definitely act like one. It’s not like she was any different from Claire but Lorelei just likes to believe she is more reserved than Claire.
Just when she thought her day was made, her eyes caught sight of the red head whose brain Jayden had been fucking out the other day. Knowing how shameless the she wolf was, she didn’t want to have any form of confrontation with her.
In her attempt to avoid her eye, their eyes locked. “Shit!” Lorelei exclaimed, increasing her pace when she noticed the red head had changed direction and was coming towards her.
In her haste she didn’t focus on where she was going and ended up splashing all of the content on a stranger’s face.
“Oh my goodness!” She gasped. “I am so so sorry please. I am really sorry.”
Jaylen tried using his hand to get the content off his face, but to no avail some of it were already in his eyes. Lorelei looked up at him, realizing what had happened. She held him by the arm.
“Please let me get you to the rest room. I am really sorry.”
Since Jaylen had no idea where the restroom was, he didn’t want to embarrass himself further so he had to take the help. They headed for a room that seem like their destination. He had no choice but to take off his cap and mask to wash up his face.
Raising his head up a bit, he saw the lady that brought him over chewing on her fingers nervously as she kept looking around. He had never seen such beauty wrapped into a single person all his life.
She has a sunrise gold long wavy hair, a rapture blue eyes that were so fascinating, a pointed nose and a pouting lips that makes her look so cute.
Jaylen didn’t realize he had been staring for long until he heard her voice.
“Are you okay mister, hope your eyes doesn’t hurt?” Lorelei asked with a worried look on her face. She hated that she was in a mess all because of Jayden’s slut.
“Yeah. I am okay. Thank you.” Jaylen said as he grabbed a tissue to dust off the dirt on his mask. He had no choice but to wear it to the car before he could get another one.
When he turned to face her, Lorelei gasped. “Oh my goodness! Are you the prodigal son?!” She exclaimed.
Jaylen stared in confusion, wondering what she meant by it. “Say what now?”
Lorelei covered her mouth with her hands. “I mean… you are Jayden’s twin brother!” She stated.
“Oh.” Jaylen muttered. “Oh I see it’s the prodigal son you all call me.”
“Goodness me! No one said you were this good looking!” She sounded really excited.
To Jaylen’s surprise, he liked the idea that she saw him as good looking. Even though he was beginning to feel uncomfortable at the approach.
“Can you keep your voice down please? I haven’t gotten to the pack house yet and I don’t want anyone to know of my return till I get seen by my parents.” He informed her.
Lorelei clapped her hands but silently. “Sebastian would be so happy to see you!” She giggled.
“Sebastian?” He mumbled to himself, the name seem so familiar. Then it struck him immediately because the resemblance was a bit glaring. “You are Beta Julius daughter?”
“Yes. Yes.” Lorelei nodded with pride. She was glad that he recognized her.
“Wow, you have grown so much.”
“Of course, I am twenty one now.” She stated as a matter of factly.
Jaylen chuckled softly. “I didn’t mean it that way. It has been so long I last saw you so I am just commenting.”
“Is that why you are in a disguise? I am so sorry I ruined your mask.” She pleaded.
“You don’t have to worry, I have another one in my car. I would just need to get to it first.”
“You are Jaylen right?” Lorelei wasn’t really asking but she just needed him to affirm it.
“Yes I am Jaylen. And you are?”
“Lorelei!” She stretched out her hand, almost putting him off balance.
“Lorelei, that’s a nice name. Suits you just fine.” He commented, almost biting off his tongue for being too forward.
Her eyes went to his ruined mask again and guilt washed over her. “I am sorry.”
He followed her gaze and waved it off. “That’s okay. I really have to go now, see you some other time.” Jaylen said in a hurry. He wore his wet mask as he left the restroom.
He felt so exposed. He had never been so up close with a woman that caught his attention before. It made his heart beat too fast. Locking himself up in the car the moment he got in, he placed a hand on his chest trying to calm himself down.
“Hold still heart, you are scaring me.” He murmured to himself.
Just as he made an attempt to turn on the ignition, his phone rang and it showed his grandma Gabriella as the caller.
His heart raced again as he felt like a deer caught in the headlight. The last time they had spoken was when he was at her house and had to tell her bluntly that he wasn’t going to step foot in Moon Stone Fortress ever again. Now, here he was already enjoying every bit of it with the eyes of a certain lady stuck in his head.
Taking a deep breath as he picked the call. ‘Hey Grandma.’ He heard some movement in the background.
‘What’s wrong? You only call me grandma when you are guilty of something.’ She snapped at him.
‘Damn!’ He whispered. The old lady knew him too well.
‘Where are you Jaylen?’
He paused a bit, feeling his throat dry up. ‘Erm…’
‘Kindly speak up young man.’ She cut in.
‘I am at Moon Stone Fortress grandma.’ He cried out.
