ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
Camille looked at me as she waited for me to say what I wanted to say. I didn’t want to believe she would steal but I know she doesn’t fancy the Luna and there are do many reasons she could do it.
“Did you steal your Luna’s Jewelry?”, I asked her, my voice dripping with little accusation.
CAMILLE’S POV :
I stared at him in shock and was hurt that he would think such of me. I might not like the Luna but why would I steal from her, “No, I never took it,” I said, my voice shaking with emotion. “I would never do something like that.”
“Are you sure?” he asked, his voice hardening.
“I am very positive Alpha” I said in disbelief.
“Then you wouldn’t mind us checking your room just to be certain. It’s not like we are accusing you, we are just gonna check it because you were with her the day she saw it last” he explained as I nodded my head, going towards my room as they all followed behind with two guards.
Alpha Aiden stood in the doorway of the my room, his face a mask of frustration . “I want this room searched from top to bottom,” he ordered the guards standing beside him. “And I want it done now.”
The guards nodded and began to ransack the room, tossing clothes and belongings everywhere as they searched for the missing jewelry. Luna Laila stood in the corner, watching with a smug smile on her face. “Scatter everything and see if you will find my jewelry,” she told the guards. “It should be easy to spot, it’s worth a fortune.” I couldn’t do anything as they destroyed my room.
The guards continued to search, determined to find the missing jewels.
“Please stop, I’ve been insulted enough. Isn’t that enough proof that I didn’t take it, my room is a mess, please just st…..” I shut my mouth immediately as Alpha Aiden’s mother cut me off by telling me to keep shut and that there was no rush.
Finally, one of them held up a small velvet bag triumphantly. “Here it is, Alpha,” he said, holding out the bag for Alpha Aiden to see.
Alpha Aiden grabbed the bag and emptied the contents onto the bed. The diamonds and emeralds sparkled in the light, confirming that they were indeed the stolen jewels. My face fell in despair.
“How did they get there?” He demanded, turning to the me.
“Is this why you wanted them to stop?” Alpha Aiden’s mum asked as she landed a slap on my face, “is it? because they were close to where you hid it you thief” she spat out.
But I just shooked my head, tears streaming down my face. “I don’t know how it got there,” I stuttered as I sobbed. “I swear I didn’t take them.” I said, trying to defend myself.
The Alpha didn’t believe me.
“I can’t believe you would do something like this Camille” he said angrily as I shooked my head,” I didn’t take it”.
“Then please do explain how it got to your room” Luna Laila spoke up.
“I don’t know, I have no idea” I cried out, “I’m no theif”.
“I-I don’t understand,” I stammered, my voice shaking. “I never stole the Luna’s jewelry. I swear it, Alpha.”
He fixed me with a cold, hard stare, his eyes glinting with anger and suspicion. “Do not lie to me, girl,” he growled, his voice low and menacing. “The Luna’s jewelry has gone missing, and was found in your room.
Before they could find it, you already said it was as enough, Do you expect me to believe that this is just a coincidence?”
I shooked my head frantically, tears streaming down my face. “I swear it, Alpha,” I sobbed. “I would never steal from the Luna, I’m not that kind of person. I’ve been here for years now and not once have I been accused of such. Please, believe me.”
Alpha Aiden hesitated, his eyes narrowed as he studied my face. For a moment, it seemed as though he might believe me. But then he shook his head, his expression hardening once more. The Luna and Alpha Aiden’s mother had gone back out to the sitting room, leaving only I and Aiden here as I tried to prove my innocence.
“You will apologize to your Luna,” he commanded, his voice cold and firm. “You will kneel before her and beg for her forgiveness. And if she is not satisfied with your apology, you will face the consequences of your actions.”
I nodded, tears streaming down my face as I tried to clean it up, making a mess of my face. I knew that I had no choice but to obey the Alpha’s commands. And so, with a heavy heart, I made my way to the sitting room, where the Luna was and knelt before her and begged for her forgiveness.
As I knelt there, tears streaming down my face, I knew that I was innocent. But I also knew that there was nothing I could do to prove it. All I could do was hope that the Luna would see the truth and spare me from punishment.
And so, I waited for her verdict, praying that I would be shown mercy.
I looked up at the Luna, my eyes filled with hope and pleading. But as I gazed into the Luna’s eyes, I saw something that chilled me to the bone – a cold, hard glint of suspicion and disbelief, disgust.
Luna Laila fixed me with a stern gaze, her voice cold and unforgiving. “I do not believe you,” she said, her words slicing through the air like a sharp blade.
“You were the last person with me when I took it off and it was found in your room. And now, you expect me to believe that you are innocent? I think not.”
My heart sank as I realized that Luna Laila would not be swayed by my pleas of innocence. I knew that I was doomed, and that the Alpha would not hesitate to punish me for a crime I did not commit.
And so, I stood up, preparing myself for the worst. I waited with bated breath as the Alpha approached me, his eyes filled with anger and contempt.
“Kneel”.
