CHAPTER FIFTY NINE

Book:Claimed By The Ruthless Alpha Published:2024-5-1

ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
I nodded and stood, offering her a hand to help her up. “Of course. I’ll be with you every step of the way.”
Together, we made our way to the border of the pack lands, where the woman’s son waited for us, I had linked Liam, telling them to wait for us there. The goodbye was tearful and emotional, but I stood by the woman’s side, offering her support and strength as she said goodbye to her son.
As I watched the man leave the pack lands, I knew it was painful but it was the right decision for the good of the pack, and something others should learn from.
I returned home after a long day I feeling tired and drained. As I walked through the door, I was greeted by Miss Clara.
“Welcome back, Alpha,” she said, with a warm smile on her face. “How was your day?”
“It was okay and before you ask because I know you would. Camille is fine and just need rest, she will be coming back soon”. I told her as she let out a breathe of relief.
“What was she even doing out of the house?” I asked Miss Clara.
“I was with her, we actually went to the garden to relax and all before everything happened” She explained.
“I See…. okay” as she turned to leave I called her back, “sorry but please send someone to call me as soon as dinner is ready”. She nodded her head and smiles and she left to the kitchen.
I wonder where my mum is, I haven’t seen her today have I?.
I guess I’ll see her when it’s time for dinner. Soon I was notified by a maid who had come to tell me that dinner was ready and I almost rushed down to go eat.
Getting to the dinning, my mother, and Lail, were all seated around the large dining room table as I smiled and joined them. I’m sure this was Miss Clara’s handwork, she had prepared a delicious meal of roast chicken, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables.
As we sat down to eat, I raised my glass of red wine in a toast. “To our family, and to the strength and unity of our pack,” I said, smiling at my mother and Luna.
They both returned my smile and raised their glasses. “To our pack,” They said.
The three of us clinked our glasses together and took a sip of our wine before beginning to eat.
As we enjoyed our meal, I and my mother caught up on the events of the pack and discussed plans for the future. Laila listened attentively, offering her thoughts and ideas whenever appropriate.
My mother asked about Camille, since she might have heard all about what had happened today as I assured her that everyone is safe.
Despite the weighty topics of conversation, the atmosphere at the table was warm and friendly.
“Alpha, Camille’s missing” I got linked again for the hundredth time.
“What do you mean by she’s missing Liam?” I asked, getting up from the dinning, “please excuse me I have something to attend to” I explained to my mother and Luna as I left the house.
“Send out people to look for her, she couldn’t have gotten too far” I ordered as I started looking for her myself, she is so dead when I get my hands on her.
CAMILLE’S POV :
Lying in the hospital bed I was desperate to leave the sterile, white walls behind and go outside to feel the cool, fresh air on her skin. The doctor had attended to my wounds, making the bleeding stop.
As soon as everywhere got dark , after the hospital had settled into silence, I made my move. I slipped out of bed and dressed myself in the clothes I had arrived in, which were now clean and mended.
Quietly, I tiptoed out of my room and down the dark corridors with few lights, my heart racing with excitement and fear. I knew I wasn’t supposed to leave the hospital, but I couldn’t stand being cooped up any longer.
I reached the back door of the hospital and pushed it open, stepping out into the cool night air. I took a deep breath, savoring the freedom that came with being outside.
I made my way towards the river, my destination now within reach. As I walked, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of exhilaration wash over me.
I had left the hospital without anyone knowing, and I was on my way to a place that brought me so much peace and tranquility.
When I reached the river, I sat down near it and let out a sigh of contentment. I was free, and I was exactly where I wanted to be.
I sat by the river for a long time, feeling the cool water lap at my toes and watching the stars twinkle above me. I had never felt so alive and free.
As I stayed there, I prayed to the Moon goddess, asking for her guidance and strength. I needed it to be able to survive here, because this place is so suffocating for me.
I saved a girl’s life, not that I want to be praised or anything and I got insulted because of it but I have no regrets because I know that what I did was right.
As the night wore on, I began to feel a sense of unease wash over me. I knew I should probably head back to the hospital before I was missed, but I didn’t want to leave the peace and solitude of the river behind.
I wrestled with my thoughts, torn between my desire to stay and my sense of responsibility. In the end, I knew I had to go back. I couldn’t risk getting into trouble or being a burden for anyone to worry about.
As I stood up and turned to go, I was met with a dark figure, standing in my way, as the person came into light I could make out his face.
“You have got a lot of explaining to do” the person said in an angry tone.
