CAMILLE’S POV :
“Well well well , if it isn’t the maid who acted all tough and got stabbed” Luna Laila said in a mocking tone as she entered into the room, walking to me.
“I didn’t think you would come to see me”. I said back, trying to sound polite, which didn’t come out right.
“Oh no no no sweetheart, I came to see how you are, hoping you are suffering” she said as she put her hand on where my would laid.
I watched her closely as she used her hand to touch the place, then she pressed it hard making me to cry out in pain. I was about to claw her hands out again, because I was seeing red but the doctor rushed in asking what had happened.
“My apologies, I think I mistakenly pressed her wounds without knowing” Luna Laila said softly as if she was saying the truth, I snarled at her lies, as the doctor came to attend to the now reopened wound.
“I’ll take my leave now and let you do your work” Luna Laila said as she left, as if anyone wanted her here in the first place.
ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
“Let’s go” I said to Liam as we walked out of the Pack’s hospital.
We arrived at the dungeon, a dark and foreboding place Caleb was also kept. I strode confidently through the halls, Liam following closely behind.
We made our way to one of the cells and I pushed the door open, revealing a huddled figure cowering in the corner. I didn’t even wait for the guards to unlock the gate but it seemed like they knew I was coming and did it already.
Without a word, I marched into the cell and stood over the prisoner. Caleb looked up at me with fear in his eyes, knowing that he was in deep trouble.
I clenched my fist and let out a growl, then punched him square in the face.
“In the end you achieved nothing” I barked out at him.
Caleb crumpled to the ground, groaning in pain. I looked down at him with disgust, then turned to the Beta. “This one is no longer fit to be a member of our pack,” I said. “He is hereby banished from our territory and make sure he never returns.”
Liam nodded, understanding the severity of the punishment. Then I turned and stormed out of the cell, leaving the prisoner behind to face the consequences of his actions.
From this day forward, he would no longer be a part of the pack, and he would have to find his own way in the world.
As I emerged from the dungeon, I was met with the sight of a woman on her knees, tears streaming down her face. She begged me to spare her son, who was imprisoned in the dungeon for his crimes against the pack.
My heart softened at the sight of the woman’s anguish, but I knew that I could not go back on my decision. I had already banished the man from the pack, and there was no going back.
“I’m sorry,” I said gently, “but your son’s actions were unforgivable. He insulted me his Alpha, disobeyed my orders and even tried to kill someone, he still got someone stabbed. I cannot allow him to remain a part of our community.”
The woman sobbed harder, pleading for mercy. “Please, I beg of you. My son is all I have left. I cannot bear to lose him.”
I knew that I had to stand firm.
“I understand your pain, but I cannot allow your son to remain among us. He must pay the consequences for his actions.
You are welcome to leave with him, or to say your goodbyes before he leaves.”
The woman looked at me with tears in her eyes, and then slowly rose to her feet. She nodded, her acceptance of my decision, and turned to leave the dungeon.
I watched her go, knowing that I had made the right decision for the good of the pack. But as I turned to return to my duties, I couldn’t shake the feeling of sadness for the woman and her son, I may be ruthless but I still have a heart but that doesn’t mean it can’t be turned to stone again.
I was willing to let the boy stay locked up in his wolf form for few days, then let him go but he acted stupid and he has to face the consequence of his actions.
I decided to take a walk through the forest to clear my head. A lot has happened today, from stopping a fight to someone escaping to Camille getting stabbed, all in one day, but as I was walking, I heard a faint sobbing sound.
Following the sound, I came across the woman from the dungeon, huddled against a tree and crying into her hands.
My heart ached at the sight of her grief. I slowly approached her, not wanting to startle her. “Is there anything I can do to help?” I asked softly.
The woman looked up at me, her eyes red and swollen from crying. “I don’t know what to do,” she said, her voice shaking. “I can’t bear the thought of losing my son. He’s all I have left.”
I knelt down next to her and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. “I know it’s hard, but your son made a choice that has consequences.
He knew what he was doing when he did all that he did. It’s not easy, but sometimes we have to accept the things we cannot change.”
The woman sniffled and nodded. “I know you’re right. It’s just so hard to let go. I’ve lost so much already.”
The woman gave me a small smile.
We both sat in silence for a moment, the only sound the woman’s occasional sniffles. Finally, she spoke up. “I think I’m ready to say goodbye to my son. Will you come with me?”
