ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
I walked back to my room in the middle of the night. As I entered my bathroom, I turned on the faucet and splashed some cold water on my face. I took a deep breath and looked at himself in the mirror, smiling content.
As I finished washing up and walked back into the bedroom, I heard a soft voice calling out to me. “Where have you been?” asked Laila.
I turned to see her sitting up in bed, a concerned look on her face as she looked sleepy.
“Just went to get a glass of juice, fresh breeze and all. Now, go back to bed” I told her softly as I laid down too.
I and Laila woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside our bedroom window. We both stretched and yawned before getting out of bed.
Laila was the first to get dressed, choosing a comfortable pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I took a little longer, making sure to pick out a shirt and pants that matched, dressing nice because I have where to be after breakfast.
Once we were both dressed, we made our way downstairs to the dining room. The smell of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, making our stomachs growl with hunger.
We took our usual seats at the table, with I sitting at the head and Laila sitting at my right. A plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast was already waiting for us, along with a pot of coffee and a pitcher of orange juice.
I don’t think my mum will be joining us today I told Laila as she nodded her head in response.
I poured myself a cup of coffee and added a splash of milk, while Laila opted for a glass of orange juice. We both helped ourselves to generous servings of the breakfast foods, making small talks as we ate.
After we finished our meal, the maids cleared the table as I headed out and Laila went to wherever she went too.
I met with the council of Elders gathered in the meeting hall to discuss the invitation we had received from the vampires. The invitation had come as a surprise to us werewolves, as we had not had any contact with the vampires in over a hundred years.
After much discussion and debate, the council finally agreed that the Alpha of the pack , me , should go and meet with the vampires to explore the possibility of an alliance and o should go guarded. Then the council was adjourned.
I linked my Beta through the pack link and asked him if he and a few trusted warriors were ready to leave and he said yes, that they are waiting for him outside.
Getting outside our cars were there already. We were going to a far place and a ride was needed.
As the alpha of my werewolf pack, I had always been cautious when it came to interacting with other supernatural creatures. I had heard stories of vampires being cunning and manipulative, and I wasn’t about to let my guard down around one of them.
So when I received an invitation to attend an alliance meeting with a group of vampires, I was hesitant at first and had a discussion with the council of Elders, and it was said to go. But the vampires had made it clear that they were open to forming an alliance with the werewolves, and I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
Now we are making our way to the designated location, a sprawling mansion on the outskirts of town. As we reached, stepping out of the cars and approaching the front door, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease wash over me. I knew that I was walking into the territory of creatures that were, in many ways, my natural enemies.
But I pushed those thoughts aside as the door opened and a tall, slender figure appeared before me. The vampire was dressed in a tailored black suit, and his pale skin and piercing eyes gave him an almost otherworldly appearance.
“Welcome, Alpha,” the vampire said with a small smile. “I am Lord Dimitri, leader of the vampire council. It is an honor to meet you.”
I nodded, appearing calm and confident as possible. “The honor is mine, Lord Dimitri,” I replied.
As we two alphas made our way into the mansion, with my Beta and others following me, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. I knew that this meeting could either lead to a powerful alliance, or a dangerous feud. But I was determined to do whatever it took to protect my pack, even if it meant negotiating with the very creatures I had been taught to fear and stay away from.
CAMILLE’S POV :
It was a dreary Monday morning, and I groggily opened my eyes to find them crusted over with sleep. I sat up and rubbed at them, trying to wake myself up fully.
As I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up, I noticed that my mouth felt like it was full of cotton. I shuffled to the bathroom, still half-asleep, and splashed some water on my face.
Feeling slightly more awake, I headed to the shower and turned on the hot water. As the steam filled the room, I undressed and stepped under the spray, letting the water wash away the sleep and grime of the night before.
After drying off and getting dressed, I headed downstairs to start my chores. We prepared breakfast for the Alpha and his family , but his mum didn’t come down early.
I watched as Alpha Aiden as his Luna sat down and helped themselves why talking and all. He didn’t even look like someone that was bothered or something, just like a normal day to him.
Later we had received news that Ivy had given birth to a baby boy. Miss Clara was so happy to begrandmot and I was so happy that she gave birth with no complications.
Werewolf pregnancy faster than human pregnancy. The werewolf mothers give birth within a few months, rather than the typical nine months of human pregnancy. This rapid gestation period could be due to the enhanced physical abilities and metabolism of we werewolves, which could allow the fetus to develop and mature more quickly.
I wish I could go with Miss Clara to see Ivy and the baby but I don’t know if I will be allowed to go. I’ll have to ask the Alpha and hopefully he would let me go.
