CHAPTER TWENTY ONE
CAMILLE’S POV :
While on the bed staring blankly at the ceiling, I had been feeling tired and more alone lately.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. That’s when I felt it – her presence in my mind, gentle and soothing. The voice called me, “Camille” it was my wolf Lunaris.
“Are you okay?” I asked my wolf, as she also feels the pain I feel.
“I’m here and I can’t pretend that I’m okay to you. So I’m not but we can get through this.,” She replied, her voice gentle and comforting.
“I’m always with you, But what about you? The pain, I can feel it Camille”. I could tell she was also in pain and was trying to relieve it of both of us but to no avail.
“I just feel so alone,” I said, tears streaming down my face once more. “I’ve been through so much pain and hurt, and I don’t know how to deal with it, your also hurting and I don’t want that for you.
My wolf let out a soft growl, her presence in my mind growing stronger. “I understand,” She said. “And I care. You are not alone. You have me, and together, we have the strength and resilience to get through this.”
I sniffled and wiped away my tears. “But how?” I asked. “I don’t know how to move on from all of this pain.”
“It won’t be easy,” She replied. “But you are stronger than you realize. You have the power to choose how you want to react to the pain and hurt you have experienced.
You can let it consume you, or you can use it as a source of strength and growth. It’s up to you.”
I thought about her words, feeling a glimmer of hope start to bloom within me. Maybe I did have the strength to move on and heal from all of the pain I had and am experiencing.
“I’ll try,” I said, my voice shaking. “I’ll try to be strong and use my pain as a source of strength.”
“That’s all anyone can ask for,” my wolf said, her presence still in my mind . “I believe in you. You are not alone, plus I’m here with you. We stand strong together”.
I took a deep breath, feeling a renewed sense of determination and hope. I would not let the pain and hurt consume me. I would use it as a source of strength and move forward. I had my wolf by my side, and I knew I could do it, we could do it.
“You know I met his wolf?” To say I was shocked was an understatement.
“His name is Alistair, he was very sweet to me Camille. He didn’t treat me like the way Aiden does to us both”. She said smiling in my mind. I listened to her, I was happy she was happy.
“I’m so glad you guys were able to meet and talk but how?” I asked curiously.
“You know the moment Aiden kissed you, there was just something that joined together and we were able to talk.
He told me how much he has wanted us in his arms, he doesn’t like how his human Aiden treats us and his trying to change him Camille” She explained to me.
How could he possibly change him? I don’t even want to have anything to do with Aiden no matter how much I fell for him.
“It’s a good thing that you guys can talk now and bond well but be careful, I don’t just want your hopes or rather our hopes getting crushed.
“Yes I know and I will be, I trust him, he has proven himself to me . He’s a kind and loving wolf, and I know he would never intentionally hurt me and you” she assured me.
“I’m glad you guys were able to work through it and come to an understanding, it’s a good thing that at least one of them accepts us as their mate” I said softly, I didn’t think this would ever happen but here I am seeing it happen.
“I’ll always be here for you also and I’m glad to have you as my wolf” I told her sending warm feelings of love.
“And I myself, I’m very pleased your my human and I have you. I love you Camille, Always and Forever” she said sweetly that it almost made tears come to my eyes again. But I don’t want t be such a cry baby, so I swallowed it.
“I love you too Lunaris, Always and Forever”.
ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
As I descended the stairs into the dungeon, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of happiness and strength wash over me. I knew that what I was about to do was necessary, i had everything right to do it.
When I finally reached the cell, I found Camille huddled in the corner, wrapped around a blanket. The very one I had asked to be given to her, I could remember.
The Guards unlocked the gate to her cell for me as I dismissed them, didn’t want them around for now.
Going into the cell , I approached her . I know she knew I was here but decided not to spare me a glance.
I’m fed up with this attitude of hers.
“Won’t you greet your Alpha little one?” I commanded but still no response from her. I see, your playing hard to get. Whatsoever gave you such courage to deny me a greeting.
“Look at me when I’m talking to you and answer me when I ask you something , I won’t tolerate shit from you so better coordinate yourself”
I growled using my Alpha voice one her , she had no choice but to submit as she shivered and stood up facing me.
She greeted and bared her neck to me but averted my eyes. How i enticing, sweet neck.
I waved my neck at her, it was all good.
“I’m sorry Alpha for being disrespectful” she apologized softly. Something in me wanted to go over to her and hug her but I stopped myself.
” It’s alright and It’s time for you to go,” i told her.
She looked up at the me in shock. “Go? She retreated back at me
