Why are you here again?

“What made you do that?” His tone altered, but Adele continued as if she hadn’t heard anything. Adele noticed something on a piece of paper that reminded her of her sister’s name, but Hugo snatched the paper she was meant to be held before she could reach it. Hugo’s hand drew Adele’s attention.
“I’ll tell you what you need to do. Simply sit and wait for my order.” Adele sat on the other side of the sofa. Someone called to Hugo as Adele was sitting. The man merely gazed at the phone, shifting his gaze from Adele to the phone.
Adele played with her fingernails as if she didn’t care or could no longer hear the ringing phone. She crossed her legs while biting her nail. Hugo soon answered the call.
Hugo remained silent while waiting for the other line to speak. “Mr. Whitlock, why isn’t the solution to the problem progressing forward? We’re already crowding in here. If you do not address the problem within the day, I will be forced to buy our company’s stock. I didn’t invest in and engage you as a supplier only to cause me additional problems!”
Hugo put the phone away to his ear because the man on the other end of the line was yelling. He reasoned that this was not the time to be furious, so he calmed himself. Before speaking, he took a big breath. “Mr. Williams, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we are doing everything necessary to remove the issue. You will not be harmed since my company provided you with a bodyguard.”
The man on the other end of the telephone and said more, but Hugo never spoke again. He just sat there and listened to what the speaker was saying until he ended. After the man finished, he furiously hung up the call. Hugo is also upset since he has yet to hear a response from his parents, and he is at a loss for what to say to those who complain.
Adele, who was still playing with her nails, caught his eye. “Examine my timetable. Get the name of the people who scheduled the meeting to my HR. Cancel the arranged meeting at 3:00 p. m. since we’re going elsewhere.”
Adele didn’t say anything and went right to the place Hugo was saying. Hugo’s schedule, in Adele’s opinion, is in HR since he hasn’t had a secretary since Cherry, his last secretary, left. She inquired about Hugo’s timetable while at the front desk.
HR was even shocked she accepted because she was Hugo’s fiancee. “Adele, Ms.! I should have just phoned so I could email it to you, which would have been less offending for you.” HR rushed to give her the schedule, but Adele didn’t go until she asked her a question.
“Who exactly is Mr. Williams?” She didn’t want to ask Hugo because he may be upset with her, so she whispered and her face was near to HR so no one could hear her.
“Eh? I apologize?” HR appeared to be perplexed, so Adele waved the phone to indicate that she was referring to whom Hugo’s talking to earlier. “Oh! Williams! He’s an investor in this company. After all, he controls numerous drugstores, making him one of the company’s largest customers. Why do you inquire?” HR is now determining which task she will do.
“I heard him call Hugo earlier. He looks angry.”
“We understand him because it already crowned him with people complaining.” HR is writing now while Adele remembers what Wayne told her about people who are not knowledgeable about businesses and companies, so she came up with an idea.
“Where is Mr. Williams’ company when he is surrounded by people?” The HR still didn’t look at her as she wrote, but she responded.
“You can notice and recognize his building right immediately in Eastwood since his company name is just his name.”
She walked away from the front desk without notifying HR. She went straight to Hugo’s floor and handed him his schedule.
“I’ll be absent now. I’m going somewhere. Just deduct it from my salary.” She didn’t wait for Hugo to speak and left. She came up with a plan on how to stop the people from revolting. She immediately hailed a taxi and told the place where she was going. The driver refused to take her there.
“I’m sorry, ma’am but there’s a commotion there and I might just feel sorry for you. I can’t take you.”
Adele no longer knew what to do and how she could get there. “How far can you take me?”
“I can’t really take you, I’m sorry.” The driver opened the door for Adele to get off. Adele did nothing but get out. She didn’t know where she would ride if all the taxi drivers didn’t want to go to Eastwood. Adele just came back in front of the company. She was about to enter when she saw the familiar car.
Wayne got out of the driver’s seat while carrying the umbrella he had brought to the cemetery. She quickly approached him. Maybe he and Hugo had already agreed on the investment he was talking about. She blocked him and joined the umbrella as the sun began to heat up.
The man even backed away because he didn’t see Adele. He looked at it in surprise and then asked, “Why are you here again?”
“Come with me to Eastwood!” He pulled the man back to his car, but when he opened it, it was locked. Wayne removed the hand that was holding his wrist, then faced Adele.
“You know what? Don’t go ahead and continue what you’re planning to do. Don’t you know that in Eastwood people are doing commotion because of the drugs they supply?” He even looked at the top of the building as if he could see the man inside, “and one more thing, Hugo and I are going to talk again.”
“That’s why I’m going to Eastwood is because I’ve figured out a way to get people to leave there.” Adele crossed her arms and patted Wayne’s arm. “Come on! Help me!”
Wayne looked again at the top of the building before speaking, “Are you sure about your plan?”
“Absolutely sure!”
Wayne did nothing but open his car. Adele got into the front seat and they left immediately.
What he didn’t know was that Hugo was looking at him from the top of the building.
