James went to the studio to pick Kara up while finding that her eyes were red.
“Why did you cry?”
In the studio, James hugged Kara and questioned her coldly.
Kara was frightened by Kathleen this time. She didn’t hide anything and told him everything that happened.
James narrowed his eyes, with a serious expression.
Two days ago, Zoie told him that someone was following Kara, and he sent someone to investigate. Unexpectedly, Kathleen was so unscrupulous.
Holding Kara in his arms, James dreaded to think what might have happened. Fortunately, Kara was fine.
“James, Jamya was injured to save me. I feel so guilty.”
“Is her injury serious?”
“Luckily, her bones were not injured, but she has to rest for a while to recover.”
When Kara thought of the situation at that time, she trembled with fear.
If Jamya didn’t push her away, her throat may have been slit by Kathleen.
Artery on the neck was the most vulnerable place for people. If that place was injured, one might die.
“Don’t worry, I will find Kathleen as soon as possible. She will have no chance to hurt you.”
…
Kathleen ran back to the villa in a panic. Thinking that she already had a criminal record, it was not a big deal to hurt another person, so she calmed down.
Elisa came out with a suitcase and saw Kathleen sitting in the living room with a pale face. She threw the suitcase to Kathleen.
“I can’t keep you here. Leave at once.”
“No, many people are looking for me. You are driving me to the wall to ask me to leave here now.”
Kathleen grabbed the suitcase with a sad expression.
“I’ve already given you a lot of time, but you didn’t cherish it. Is it so difficult to capture Kara? Idiot, you dared to kill Tom, but you couldn’t catch a weak woman like Kara.”
Elisa was sarcastic, looking at Kathleen coldly.
Kathleen gritted her teeth. “Give me a few more days. I will leave.”
“I don’t want this villa anymore. You’d better bring Kara here, or you will die!” Elisa stared at her in disgust.
Kathleen sat weakly on the sofa, touching her stomach sadly.
She was full of expectations for this child, but now she didn’t dare to go to the hospital to abort.
Kathleen was going to call Sophia. When she thought that Sophia’s phone might be monitored, she immediately hung up.
Sophia, who was at the Quain’s, heard her phone vibrate. She quickly went to the living room and saw Rose holding her phone.
She panicked and quickly went to grab the phone.
“Rose, give me my phone!”
Rose coldly stared at the phone which immediately stopped, feeling bored.
“If you want your phone, kneel and beg me!” Rose said.
Sophia clenched her fists. Her phone was charging in the living room. She went to the kitchen to cook and didn’t expect Rose to peek at her phone.
“Rose, don’t push your luck!”
“I didn’t. When I was in the Quain’s, you treat me the same way and you disliked me.”
Rose thought of the grievances she had suffered in the Quain’s before, and she felt resentful.
It was merciful enough for her to make Sophia kneel.
“I am your aunt, you beast!”
“What qualifies you to blame me? You asked me to supervise Kara and drugged her. You just wanted to kill her and get the inheritance.”
Sophia was speechless.
She was blinded by benefits before and thought that the legacy of Kara’s parents enabled her to enjoy life.
It was retribution!
“You were so anxious just now because you think Kathleen will call you, right?” Rose picked up Sophia’s phone proudly.
“I didn’t. Rose, don’t talk nonsense.” Sophia explained.
“You know whether I am talking nonsense or not. Kneel, or I will tell the police about you contacting Kathleen.”
“OK, I kneel!”
Sophia hated Rose, but she could only kneel for Kathleen.
Rose saw that Sophia was crying and knelt on both knees. She was satisfied and threw the phone in front of her.
“It turns out that Kathleen contacted you. Sophia, you are now a criminal. Don’t implicate me!”
Sophia picked up the phone, finding that the screen of it was cracked.
Only then did she understand that Rose was playing tricks. Sophia was so angry that she wanted to teach Rose a lesson.
Seeing that Sophia stood up aggressively and was about to rush towards her, Rose hid behind the sofa in fright.
“Madam Quain, Sophia is going to kill me!”
Linda immediately ran out when hearing Rose’s call.
She saw Sophia staring at Rose angrily.
“Sophia, if you bully her, I will break your legs!”
“Come and try!”
Sophia was provoked. She was not afraid at all and tried to grab Linda’s crutch.
Linda’s crutch was pinched and her face became pale out of anger. She picked up the fruit plate and smashed it on Sophia’s face.
Half of Sophia’s face was injured. She threw away the crutch and began to make a scene.
“Madam Quain, this is murder. I am going to sue you.”
Linda looked at Rose in panic.
Rose quickly threw the fruit plate into the kitchen and pointed at Sophia fiercely.
“Sophia, if you still want to stay here, behave yourself. Madam Quain wouldn’t hit you if you remain orderly.”
“Rose is right. I did nothing. It was you who wanted to hit me. Rose saw it. If you want to sue me, I will sue you!”
Sophia’s face twisted in pain.
However, if she left this place, she would be out on the streets, and this apartment would become Rose’s. She couldn’t let Rose have her way!
After dinner, Linda and Rose went out for a walk while Sophia stayed to clean up the kitchen.
Seeing them had left, Sophia ran to Linda’s room and searched around. Finally, she found the property ownership certificate and Linda’s ID card under the bed.
There was a stack of cash besides the property ownership certificate. Sophia lifted the quilt.
When Sophia found that the bed was covered in cash, she covered her mouth in surprise.
In the past, Linda was always crying poor in front of Sophia who covered living expenses to keep Linda from nagging.
Sophia didn’t expect Linda to save so much cash. She smiled with sarcasm.
Sophia took away the property ownership certificate and ID card.
The next day, Sophia asked an agent to sell the apartment.
As soon as Sophia finished, someone wanted to buy the old apartment.
Sophia was short of money now. She was willing to accept the price no matter how much it was.
Sophia handed over the certificate to the buyer, looked at the bank card, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Moreover, this was not the only good thing.
