The drive was short as his company wasn’t that far, I drove into the company and parked at the parking lot before coming down
“Wow……” I was shocked looking at the massive building, every part of the building is glassy, I walk into the building and saw the receptionist
“How can I help you ma?” She asks with a happy face looking at me
“I came to give my husband his lunch” I muttered happily
“Okay who….?”
“Nicklaus the CEO”
“What…?” She asks looking confused
“I’m his wife,” I said,
“Any problem?”
“No…not at all take the elevator by the end side, it takes you to his office”
“Thanks”
“You’re welcome”
I walk towards the elevator where was written
“CEO PRIVATE” I walk into the elevator and waited, as it takes me up, it beeped and opened, I came out and look at the extreme to see a glass door which has the CEO at the top, I walk towards it and it opened immediately I stood in front of it.
I walked in, only to see a lady sitting on Nicklaus’s lap, he held onto her waist as they make out, gently I turned around to walk out when I heard
“Ashley…” I heard Nicklaus’s voice
“I’ll wait outside,” I said in a hurry and rushed out. I sat on the chair at the corner, finally letting my tears out. I expected him to chase me but whom I’m I kidding, he’s still in his office with whom I don’t even know
My heart was shattered, why’s he doing these? I know I have some shortcomings, but does he have to do all that
I can’t help but whimper in heartbreak, minutes later the lady came out adjusting her clothes, she stopped before me and laugh mockingly
“Nicklaus was mine, before a slut like you foolishly got pregnant for him, just watch as I get rid of you after your delivery”
My hopes shattered instantly, how could Nicklaus discuss our family with someone else
“Nice try, but trust me he will never look at you the way he looks at me”
I walk as she walked away, I stood up from there and walk into his office
“Don’t you know how to knock?!” He barked at me
“I’m sorry, I brought you lunch” I muttered slowly ignoring his tantrums
“Let me see” He stretch forth his hand, happily I hand him the flask, only for him to throw it away making the whole food pour on the floor, my heart tighten and my chest squeezed, tears brim my eyes but I woke them off
“You didn’t even wait to see the food I made for you, how could you throw it away like it’s nothing?”
“Ashley that I prepared you breakfast doesn’t mean I want us to work,” He said as he stood up, his hands tucked in his pant pocket
“Is that why you told her everything about us”
“She’s my secretary, and she’s ten times better than you that sell your body for money”
I sighed, looking at the man that made me fall for him just in one night
“Is that the only thing you see me as, a stripper that sells her body for money?”
“Isn’t that why you signed the contract? Fuck I hate your sight”
“I sign the contract because I love you not because of your money”
“Shut up bitch, you only got pregnant just to use the baby and get close to me, fuck I hate the like of you!” He banged on the table
“Does that justify you cheating on me with everyone?” I ask my tears pouring like an ocean already
“Trust me Ashley those ladies are ten times better than you”
I couldn’t take it anymore,
“Nicklaus don’t judge me, you don’t know what I’ve been through so don’t you dare judge….” I said as my leg wobbled on the floor
“And what if I do?” He said coming closer to me with dark eyes filled with hatred I was tired,
“You’re judging me wrong” I whimpered, and watch as his eyes darkened
“Who gave you my car key?” He barked looking at my hand
“I…. I…took it” I muttered slowly with my gaze on the floor
“You couldn’t even wait a day, you’re already using my car…. nice bitch…come here” He groan and took the key from me, He started dragging me out of his office, he pushed me out of the door, I thought I will fall but then a hand caught me, I look up to see it’s his friend, Rex
“Nicklaus, how could you? Why are you treating her like this?” Rex ask
“This is none of your business Rex” Nicklaus fired back
“Fuck man this is unfair”
“Maybe you can have her as well since she’s nothing but a prostitute, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind you going down there, right Ashley?”
I can take any insult but I don’t understand why he has to destroy my image even in front of his friend
“Let’s go Ashley” Rex muttered and took my hand
“I wonder who birthed a prostitute like her?” Nicklaus hissed
I shook off my hand from Rex and walk toward Nicklaus

I didn’t give him the chance to finish when I landed a hot slap on his right cheek
“What….” He made to talk when I slapped the left one with the back of my palms louder, this time. I watch as he held his cheeks looking at me in shock, pain, and anger, Rex was surprised too
I gritted my teeth, as I raise my pinky finger in a warning manner
“Listen, Nicklaus Baldwin…. you can call me names, hell you can insult me too…but the day…. You insult the woman…that gave up…everything…. for me, I swear on her grave I will destroy you…mark my words, Nicklaus Baldwin
I walk towards the elevator and turn back to him
“People like you who do not value relationships should not stand in judgment of anybody else….”
I took Rex hand and entered the elevator
