Chapter Sixteen – Catch that Delta.
Rihanna’s POV
Dara and Camilla dressed up in dark outfits. I dragged the Black Rose Lead Hunter as bait while having my loyal spokesman with me, Irwin.
I usually used his voice to speak to the slaves we saved so they’d have in mind that I am a male and spread the rumors.
That should stop soon, there was no need hiding under the shadows. It was very rewarding to know who exactly your karma was.
I only feared what might befall my twin brother, Raymond, if his Alpha realized he lied about my death and I became a force to reckon on.
“Let’s go to Rose Meadow. You should hope your Delta got that your letter.” I told the last part to the lead hunter.
He grunted as I pushed him unto the horse, and climbed behind him. We set off, three horses running towards the Rose Meadow.
Irwin rode behind Dara and Camilla rode alone. The journey only lasted for forty minutes before I sighted the red valley.
Rose Meadow was only filled with red roses? It wasn’t what I expected despite it’s name. How can such pure place exists in Black Rose Pack?
As we rode closer to the valley, I noticed the lead hunter moving suspiciously on the horse.
My eyes rolled before I grabbed his hand and dragged out the knife from his waist. He groaned as the reflex cut him.
“Stay at a place or I’d kill you before you see your Delta!” I barked.
He grunted and fell purposely down the horse, slowing me down. I spoke through mind link to Dara and Irwin and told them to go ahead.
I’d communicate to Irwin on what to say, if we can only deliver the message to the Delta. I’d be using the lead hunter to distract Jake.
“Your Silver, Jake Justin isn’t with the Delta.” Dara told me as she rode her close closer to the young man. Irwin was covered in a long hoodie.
“Are you the Delta of Black Rose?” I said in mind link and Irwin asked the Delta.
I tied the lead hunter’s hands and pushed him ahead. “Camilla, be careful, Jake isn’t with the Delta, then he’s hiding around.”
She answered positively in mind link and found a place to hide. I covered my face with a facemask and kept the lead hunter under me.
“The Delta is named Jonah. And he wants his hunters released.” Irwin answered me.
I added pressure to my feet so the lead hunter won’t move. I felt powerful energy around my surroundings, it had to be Jake Justin.
“Ask him what he’s discussing with Red Moon. You’re interested in it.” I said again to Irwin.
Suddenly, there was a collision into the invisible boundary I had created while hiding. I saw a huge brown wolf. It had to be Jake Justin.
How did he get here so fast? If he finds a boundary here, then he’d suspect the silver wolf was around him.
Would this blow Irwin’s cover or should I act like there’s a second silver wolf?
He charged at the boundary again but bounced back, I saw Camilla sneaking behind him. I mind link to her to stop right there. She couldn’t take on Jake alone.
“Irwin, trap the Delta!” I ordered.
“What? Like we should attack him?” he asked back.
“Yes, he’s alone. Jake is tracking me and we don’t have time to talk. Trap the Delta or your cover could be blown.”
I shut my mind link and released the lead hunter for distraction. He ran out towards Jake Justin.
“Camilla now!” I told her.
The lead hunter began yelling. “Jake, run, the silver wolf is…!” a silver nail pierced on his back, paralyzing him.
Jake’s wolf whimpered taking steps back.
I moved, behind the shadows and my boundary moved with me, pushing Jake Justin away from reaching the lead hunter.
Dara mind linked me. “We got him using sleep paralysis but Irwin fell for it too!” I rolled my eyes.
Irwin’s omega rank was condescending. Dara was already in warrior level and had resistance to sleep powder.
“Let’s move out then!” I told all of them. Camilla dragged the lead hunter away. I became visible to Jake Justin but left before he took in my form.
We arrived at our fortress, Silver Cave. The Delta was waking up and I didn’t want him seeing me since I would be releasing him.
“Your Silver, Irwin isn’t awake yet.” Dara told him as I went towards Irwin’s room. I gasped. This omega boy was really weak.
“Fine, I’d show the Delta my face. I don’t care.” I stomped to the prison cell and threw it open.
There was a cut on the Delta’s hand from trying to break free from the silver chain.
“It’s no use.” I strolled into the room.
His head shot up and his blue eyes dived into mine. We stared at each other for a while before I cleared my throat and looked away.
Perhaps as I haven’t been close to a handsome male for three years, I lost composure around one. Nothing new.
“So Jonah, I am Your Silver.” My voice came out muffled, I still had the face mask on but covered only my nose and mouth.
“You are a woman.” He said accusatorily.
“Can’t a silver wolf be a woman?” I tilted my head.
He chuckled. “You won’t be the first amazing woman I’ve seen.”
He thought I was amazing? I shrugged off the compliment.
“I have a female Alpha.” He added.
“Had.” I corrected.
He rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”
I peered into his eyes. He didn’t like his new Alpha? The lead hunter didn’t like Jake so maybe the pack didn’t like the Alpha’s sons.
It wouldn’t be a new thing, I hated Princess Vanessa. I stooped close to him and began trying to take off the chain.
His jaw dropped when he saw me handled the silver chaining with bare hands.
“You are really a silver wolf. Only silver wolfs can handle silver without it burning them.”
Why should it? It was silver as I was. Only that it had a burning touch but I never spoke of that part.
I freed him and he didn’t attempt to escape. I was a bit disappointed but went on to ask my questions.
“I need to know what the Red Moon pack is hiding. You didn’t tell your Alpha so will you let me be your ally in this?”
“In return for the release of my hunters? This is a big information. One that threatens your life.”
That was interesting. Red Moon was preparing a secret weapon to defeat me. How cute of them.
