Christopher went to the Ward’s house on a sunny day.
He bought all the property of the Ward’s family after Leslie’s death.
He asked maids to clean the old house. So the whole house covered by white cloth looks very clean.
Christopher still remembered that Evelyn lived in the second room upstairs on the left. At that time he visited the Ward’s house frequently. He remembered all the things about Evelyn very well.
Although Evelyn had left him for six years, her smiling face was imprinted deeply in his mind.
He stepped into Evelyn’s room. All the things in the room were still orderly.
A giant Doraemon doll sitting on the bed was given to her by him. The crystal ball on the dressing table is also his gift to her. The necklace, bracelet and so on inside the jewelry box was his gift, too.
He loved this innocent little fairy deeply. He would tear down the sky if she asked him to.
But Evelyn rarely worn the jewelry that he bought Evelyn. She always holds his hand and said to him, “I cannot understand you. To please girls need to understand the Lolita heart of our young girls. Don’t always send these tacky things.”
He still kept bringing him those expensive accessories. But she loved Doraemon doll and crystal ball the most.
She liked the princess doll. Then he gave her a bunch of Barbie dolls. Now the room is full of memories, but things are not what they used to be.
Christopher could not help but feel alone in his heart.
He walked to the window in Evelyn’s room. An old-fashioned cell phone suddenly caught his eyes.
He also remembered that this phone was given to her by him.
He connected the phone with the charger but found that the phone was no longer working. He also remembered the photo album of Evelyn’s phone, all of which were their sweet memories.
Evelyn is a girl who likes to take pictures. Her phone album had more than two thousand photos.
These photos record their moments. There are photos of him taking her skiing on an iceberg and going on a pirate ship ride at an amusement park.
Maybe there will be some kind of video inside the phone from when they went out for a trip.
Thinking of this, Christopher picked up the phone immediately.
He couldn’t wait to take his phone to get it fixed.
Christopher arrived at the parking lot near the Ward’s house hurriedly. He saw a white figure appeared in the rearview mirror when he opened the car door.
This shadow looked similar to Evelyn.
Could that be?
Christopher looked around but found nobody.
“Evelyn? Is that you?”
He shouted as he walked along.
“Is that you? Did you miss me so much that you couldn’t let me go?” His voice was louder than the others, stirring up echoes in the parking lot.
However, he was answered by nothing more than these echoes.
Christopher leaned helplessly in front of the car. His hands covered his eyes. A little after, his palms were moist.
On the other side of the wall, Leslie and Phoenix were standing behind the wall.
Leslie’s beautiful face did not have any expression. How can she have an expression? She knew clearly that Christopher never minded her.
She was dead in his memory. His won’t miss her.
Phoenix patted her shoulder and said, “Leslie, it passed. That man doesn’t deserve to be missed at all.”
Yes, a man, who doesn’t love you at all, is no need to remember.
But why does her heart still hurt so much.
She underestimated the scar he left on her heart. Maybe she just needs to leave. It would be better if they never saw each other again.
She believed that time would smooth out her wounds. As long as she doesn’t see that man again, she will get better definitely.
