Irma sniffed and put her clothes on one by one. She turned around and politely said to Frederic, “I’m gonna go if there’s nothing important. You are welcome to my wedding though.”
After she finished, she turned around and left.
Frederic grabbed her and smile to her, thin lips lightly said, “Irma, I suddenly wanted to eat the ramen. The one we had when we first met.”
Irma was amazed. This was the first time he mentioned the memories between them.
She smiled bitterly, and finally went with Frederic to the ramen restaurant.
This is her favorite ramen. Although the restaurant is not big, but there are many people. There always a long line ahead of them. In the past, whenever Irma wanted to have the ramen, Frederic would always give her a dirty look. He never kept her company in the queue.
She remembered that once she lined up in the cold wind for an hour. When she held the hot ramen to Frederic, he worried that the ramen had a dense flavor which might made his car smelly, so he directly threw it outside.
At that moment, she felt that it was not ramen that was thrown out, but her enthusiastic heart.
She had loved and been humble for him for a long time, but now she can finally head up and talk to him.
At the moment, Frederic was with her standing in the long line. He put Irma’s little hands in his pockets just in case she got cold and showed a gentle smile to her, “It turns out that waiting in line is also a wonderful thing.”
As long as it’s with you, anything boring can be interesting.
She was slightly startled, and pulled her hand back subconsciously.
Today, they are no longer able to hold hands.
She doesn’t want to be gossiped.
The sky darkened a little bit, and when it was their turn, the manager smiled apologetically, “I’m sorry, there’s only enough ramen for one.”
In the end, the two had only one bowl of ramen. They sat on the roadside stall. Yet Frederic’s smile was brighter than ever before.
He picked up the ramen and put it in his mouth, nodded after savoring it, “It turns out that the ramen you bought me was this delicious, but I only realized it a second ago.”
He always realized afterwards–the taste of ramen and her love for fim.
But everything is too late for now.
Irma didn’t take a bite form the ramen. She watched Frederic, who was extremely disgusted with the ramen finishing it all. Then she stood up and said indifferently, “It’s not early now, let’s go back.”
The dim street lamp stretched their shadows long. Frederic followed behind Irma until she approached her home. He went around her and looked at her with an affectionate look.
The dim yellow light created an air of shadiness, which made his handsome and elegant face even more dazed.
Frederic stared at her for a long time. Then he took out a delicate red box from the bag and placed it in Irma’s hand.
“What’s this?” Irma asked Frederic with a surprised look.
“The new wedding gift for you.” Frederic smiled with his beautiful eyes, but the smile was obviously bitter, “Wish you and Bruce a happy wedding.”
After that, he reached out and held Irma in his arms.
This hug is very light and soft, without any desire and possession.
He touched Irma’s ear and spoke softly, “Goodbye, Irma.”
This time, it was a farewell.
I hope that in my next life, it’ll be my turn to love you.
